First full night in MCN

Yay, we just made it through our first night! It was trial run #4.

Our first night was a bbb with pul cover, and we leaked. The next 3 runs i boosted with a hemparoo. We would have made it on run #2 and 3 except Luke decidedto a poop at 3 each morning, and then i was out of nappys and had to go to the sposies.

I am like a reformed smoker at the moment, i can't stand 'sposies. I used to love them. Before i had Luke and for the first 3 months(and knew anything about mcn) I thought sposies were great. The way they draw the moisture away and keep dry. But now i have discovered mcn.... sooo absorbant, sooo soft... i'm addicted!

My stash so far is
2 bbb and a pul cover
2 pea pods
2 honeyboys
1 gk funtime
1 bum genious
1 bambino mio


With a full nappy pack on order from bbb ( think i may have gone a little overboard here) and a possum pouches soaker on the way.

how long will dh beleive the line.... 'but it's cheaper than sposies'. No more new nappies for me unless i swap or sell some. no more fluffy mail.:(

Hi, how do you find the Bumgenius? Is it a pocket or AIO? And what is a BBB?

Bumgenious can be found on Darlings Downunder and the wee wuns they come in Pockets,AIO's and fitteds and are suppose to be really good,i am yet to try them.

BBB is Baby Behinds bamboo and can be found on Baby Behinds and also darlings downunder they also come in hemp but the bamboo ones are more poular for night use because they soak up better.

I love my bum genious pocket. Very trim, great for when we go out. i may sell some of my bbb so i can get a couple more bumgenious.

Well, bubs is in his third nappy for the night... gone through our 2 bbb's. He decided to get all squirmy and start to wake just after 12 so i got up and his nappy felt pretty damp (don't think it was on quite right). Tonight is our first night with a soaker. Si i thought i'd change him. i had given him to dh to hold so was just taking his nappy off while he was standing on dh lap. well no sooner than the nappy was off then out come a huge running poo, all over dh :).
So i put on our other bbb and then 1/2 hr later he poos in that one!
i now have him in a gk funtime with hemparoo and microcloth, with the soaker on... not sure if it will last ... although i guess it only has to do 5 or 6 hours depending on how long i get to sleep in. It was either that or revert to the sposies.:fingerscrossed:
