Whats everyone doing for Anzac Day? DH is saying a prayer at a dawn service - DD and I will be up at 4.30am to go and watch him, then will probably hang around for brekkie, then home for a sleep.

DH spent all afternoon ironing up his polys and measuring where to put all the medals and badges.

My DP is on leave so he doesnt have to attend any of the services, however we will probably go to the march in the city. He returned 2 weeks ago from active duty so it will be a good chance for him to show off his gongs!

We are getting up for the local dawn service and then hubby is marching in the city. His ship is the 2nd HMAS Ballarat (first one served in WW2) and apparantly there are still 9 diggers surviving who served on Ballarat One. So they are having their last march tomorrow - will be very emotional I'm sure!

Unfortunately I wont be going into the city. My tootsies couldn't handle standing for so long watching the march, and since hubby will be in it I would be left on my own. Never mind - the dawn service will be fantastic!

Speaking of which I guess I had better get some sleep - have to get up in 5 hours! LOL

Shavs - This is hubby's first chance to show off his gongs and his RSL badge - I think he is more excited about that than anything else! LOL

I love the dawn service, its always freezing and just a little bit scary.

No two-up for you guys? I usually leave that up to DH. He loses enough money for the both of us.
