View Full Version : Australia's Biggest Morning Tea - Thurs 24 May
Hi ladies....
May be jumping the gun a little but I just had a fantastic idea....
Would you ladies be interested in having a morning tea meet on Thurs 24 May???? Say around 10/10.30am??? If enough people are interested then I will see about registering with The Biggest Morning Tea and getting donation info....
This would mean each of us would need to make a small donation which of course goes towards supporting the Cancer Council....
There is a wonderful park just near my house (Wallsend/Silver Ridge), which is nice and quiet but very well set out... has a fantastic kids play area and a very neat undercover seating/entertaining area.... am happy to PM details to everyone if enough are interested....

Ok ladies... I'm in the process of registering for the morning tea....
I was thinking we could work it like this.....
Everyone will need to bring a gold coin donation and a plate of food or drink.....
How does that sound???

Hey guys i PROMISE im going to make it to the biggest morning tea not quite sure how i will get there as i have no car but i'm sure i will work it out.... :smiliedance: im sure its just the thing i need to cheer up after my m/c is a fun day out with the girls. I'm going to be a bit nervous i'm not used to lost of ppl i was never aloud anywhere as a child i'm sure you all don't bite LOL :thumbsdown:

Just wondering what sort of food is everyone taking ??? I want to do something different so we don't all end up bringing the same thing:rolleyes:
I was gonna try and organise hot water etc, for tea and coffee (got my host pack today... :yes: ).... unless someone has a proper water carrier, cos I will just pinch a couple of mum's thermos'....
I'll prob be lazy and get some biccies unless I get the sudden urge to cook....
I just realised I'll be baby free that day (derrr) so if anyone needs to be picked up from anywhere just yell!!!
PS... If the weather turns out to be completely poo my house can be a back up venue as its just across the road.... :yes:

LOL, WELL i have just learn't after 3 yrs with my DH he CAN COOK, he lied to me the bugger, so i refuse to cook now :laughing: that will teach him, im sure he can make us something yummy he has just suggested mars bar slice ??? he said he can have the left overs :laughing: if there is any LOL, Do you like Mars Bar Slice ?? :rolleyes:
anything with choc is a winner in my books.... :D

I just grabbed some choc mint slices, and have to duck up to mum's on the way home from dropping DD at daycare to pick up some thermos' so I can bring hot water, coffee, tea, sugar and milk!!!
Monring all. I think I am going to have to give today a miss. Dp got me up late and I am trying to get DD1 ready for school and I have to shower and do bottles and wash nappies and blah blah blah.

I hope you all have fun today! It turns out that the school ISN'T doing a morning tea now so I could have come to yours :banghead: but too late now. The girls are home as Liv's lost her voice (happens everytime she gets a cold or the flu) and we were just too disorganised to get Bailey there in time. Dayne's at preschool though so that's one less kid to worry about!
Anyway, hope you have a good time! See you at the next meetup!

Sorry we had to leave early, DH had a doctors appointment all the way at Belmont at like 3, and I needed to go to it aswell.
Shannon Rose was very happy to have other kids to play with aswell :)

Thanks for a great day everyone! Sorry DD was so feral! I'm not sure if the terrible two's have hit early or if the molar's she's getting are upsetting her.
