I brought a box of Snugglers nappies the other day, thinking that as Troy is still only young and not a heavy wetter just yet, they should be fine. How wrong was I!!!
I put one on him at 10 last night and he woke up at 3am. The minute I went in to get him up, all I could smell was urine. He was dripping wet all up his back.
It was only 10 degrees in the living room, and I had to strip the poor boy off while he was screaming for his bottle and I felt so bad for him. :(
I am now left with a useless box of disposable nappies that I spent $32 on.
I also sent a complaint email to Snugglers. Would anyone else have sent in a complaint for this??

Me too
Snugglers aren't that cheap are they - for your 50c or whatever a nappy costs, you want it to last a lot longer than that in the night

I thinks it depends on how much he drinks... It can often be deceiving how much of a wetter they actually are.. And if he had "saved" up a few wees and done them while in that nappy.... well five hours is a long time...
But i have only ever brought snugglers once cos i think they are **** IMO..
Next time try baby love... $33 and much much better...

i had the same problem with them, i use to wake at night to feed my DD and i would have to change her and then change the sheets in the cot, i wont be buying them again!
i didn't even think to complain, i gave the rest of the pack of nappies to my nieces to play with on their dolls!

I tried Snugglers when DD was about 3 months old and I didn't have any problems at all.
Did you kep your receipt? You could take them back to the shop and get your money back:yes:

I usually do use Aldi, but I thought I'd wait until he reaches the 5kg mark before I start using them.
I used Snugglers on Jacob and Brooke once when they were babies and they would pee once and leak. But I too had heard they had changed which is why I got them this time, plus he can usually last all night in a huggies and it wont even be half full..
I don't think DH kept the receipt for these, he doesn't keep receipts for anything. :banghead:
But I certainly wont be buying them again.

Hmmm very strange. I find that Snugglers are the only ones that suit DS.
He doesn't leak or smell in them.
I do change him though during his middle of the night feed, so they probably don't a chance to smell overnight.
But so far so good.

same here....ive had terrible problems with baby love, aldis and huggies...snugglers seem to be the only ones that dont leak for our heavy wetter. and DS is in his snugglers from about 9pm til 6am.

Wow that would peeve me off too.
I have to say though, I've been using Snugglers with DS and I haven't had a single problem and I'm really happy with the new ones.
I used the old ones on DD and threw them in the bin because they leaked. I really like the new ones though.

When Cobes was a wee bub I had that problem even with huggies. Was a laundry nightmare!!
Cobey's fine with snugglers now.. but the other great brand is the woolies select. And they feel nice.

I had that recently happen with a babylove nappy(my favourite brand for disposables) a tab came off while I was puting it on. I rang them and they got me to send in the nappy for free and they sent me a new packet of nappies!! Which was great as it has saved me buying disposables so I can buy more cloth:yes:

I put one on him this morning, 1.5hrs later he is dripping wet. :banghead:
Might stick him in a terry flat tonight, they are more absorbent and they are 10yr old nappies, lol.

I wonder if it depends on the kid, I used them with my first, 8 years ago, and they were fine, then with my son 4 years ago, tried them, and hated them...
I am just running out of huggies, and into the Aldi ones, will be interesting to see how they go through the night, but then most nights I change at least once anyway, as the miss poops with nearly every feed lol...

I heard back from them. They gave me a few reasons why occasional leakage may occur, lol.
But then gave me an address to send them 2 of the nappies, so I'll get them sent off today or tomorrow.
Just had a thought though, didn't Snugglers used to have an elasticised waitband??

I've just had fun and games with Snugglers, my post is on the main part of the nappies page back several pages. There was a major fault with my box and the insides of the nappy was clumping like cotton wool and they were leaking out terribly. They tried to fob me off by replacing 1/3 the box and telling me to 'hold them up to the light' to check if the wadding inside was broken before putting it on ds. I called them back the next day and said it was rediculous and to please replace the whole lot which they did.

Yup! Snugglers are **** and Huggies IMO are not much better for the amount they cost! I usually go for Aldi ones these days, they are the only ones he has not wet through!!
Huggies last box had the cotton wool clumping thing with half the nappies...was very annoyed!! DS wet through them overnight on about 5 occasions!
Next baby will definitely be in cloth me thinks!

I just had a lady from KC call, they are sending me out a pack of huggies to replace the ****ty Snugglers. :smiliedance:
She said the absorbancy mustn't have been right for him and they should last at least 4hrs, not the 90mins that they are only lasting for him.

I'd be lucky for snugglers to last 2 hours on my DS. I don't know how they can sell them, they are useless imo. I love the Aldi Mammia nappies and Huggies.

She even said that if I don't get them within 10 days, to call them and ask for them to be sent out again.
Sonja, it might be worth while complaining, seeing as you paid for something that is pretty much useless.

They were on my doorstep when I got back from the school run this morning. Only a pack of 48, but I'm not complaining (pardon the pun).

because they do work for some people. i have a heavy wetter and they can last 4-5 hours on him. where as huggies leak straight away. also had problems with mamia nappies. just because they dont work for you doesnt mean they are entirely useless.
