View Full Version : All alone on New Year's Eve - almost!
Hello to anybody who may be online this NY's Eve. I'm new at this too BTW.
I am on solo mummy duty tonight with baby Oliver as my husband is working a 12 hour shift:(
Sadly, I will probably (hopefully) sound asleep by the time 12pm clicks into 2006.
Looking to chat with anybody who is also finding themselves alone tonight. Oliver is 4 months old, likes meeting new people and really dislikes sleeping during the day!

This will be the 1st new years in about 4 that I haven't spent alone. DH is usually working night shift on NYE but for some reason he was rostered day shift (he specifically requested night too!).
We don't celebrate NY's so it's not a big deal for us.

Hi Mummyv
Welcome to Bub Hub
I too will be at home on this lovely new years eve. :p
Yes, it looks as though it will be an interesting night as Mr O has just decided that he only needs 20 minutes sleep yet again and I have to entertain him until his next feed and he is very grumpy....no decent sleeps today!!

Hi, I too am alone with our kids on New Years! My husband and I own a restaurant, so he is working tonight:( We celebrated New Year's last night and got a babysitter so we could go out to dinner with some friends.
I don't think it really feels like New Years tonight though. My three year old and almost one year old have been keeping me on my toes all day so I'll probably be ready for bed by ten

My Mr O (Oscar) has done the same thing today too, but I think he is teething.:(

Yeah im at home this new years eve. I met a boy last week but he's gone away with friends for the weekend but he called me twice today. Lucas has decided he would like to sleep the night away tonight . but mum and I will be having a glass of champagne tonight after my sister gets home from work.
