I know I've read all the posts on boys names. i didn't want to post so haven’t but now I'm desperate.

I love my other children’s names before they were conceived they were all planed and this little baby was not planed and I feel I should love his name not like it or oh that name will do cause I cant find one I love.

1st DS Michael
Not that I really love this name but his father wanted Zac and his sisters name was Zoe and there last name starts with Z so I gave up. the only name he would have other that zac was his name and that was Michael, I like it as I love nick names. (We weren't married long so new DH for other 3 children like anyone cares, but I needed to point it out)

2nd DD Tayla, so we get Tay, tayly. renee is her middle name so she also gets nay

3rd DS Matthew So Matt, Matty

We were thinking of William But I don’t like Willy or Billy, I do like Will or even Wills. But the whole Willy Billy thing is too much.

Matthew is my cousins name who is same age as my older children, and his brothers name is Timothy, we Love it but family wasn't real happy when we used Matt so cant seal anymore of there kids names.

DH is a tall large man and our kids are big Tayla age 11 is taller than me and size 11 ladies shoes poor girl (shoe size only, I‘d love her hight)
So some names aren’t appropriate for when he’s older like Ben as he would get big Ben.
Any suggestions please, Pan simple but not too old fashioned as in Joseph .

Thanks and sorry for doing the boy names again.

I have a Ben and i'm not worried about him being called Big Ben

My new baby boy is Lucas and im sure he will get some yuk nicknames too but thats life. ;)

I think no matter what you call him, a nickname will always be conjured at some stage in his life.

hey :)

dont panic too much :) when he pops out you will probably know what his name is meant to be - and there were HEAPS of babies in hospital (mainly premmies) who had no name till after they arrived ... obviously mum and dad weren't ready but bubs was!!! :D

one of the names I LOVED in hospital was NED ... I thought it was strong... manly and would grow with the little munchkin (AND he was cute :) )

the only thing I WOULD avoid is willie... I HATE it as a boys nickname ... my nephew is named will (not william.. just will) and EVERY family member calls him willie... I just think it ASKED for trouble in the playground!!! - the kids dont even have to THINK about how to tease!!!

have you looked through the on-line name sites??? there are HEAPS>... and very few of them list the traditional names (such as Joseph) - there are many that only list foreign or modern names!!! - I spent hours reading them when I was preg...

good luck!!!

I also wanted to note that I agree with Jen NT - it doesn't matter WHAT name you choose - he WILL get teased... my brother has already told me that he cant wait until Jack is old enough to be called Jack A*se.... (classy brother... )

I am the mother of a 5 year old girl Joelle and I have another girl on the way.

So,
here are the 2 names I would have chosen if I were to have sons;

Jordan, Ethan and if dd Joelle had been a boy he would have been named Joel.

I have included the meanings of these names as your other son's names are also very rich in meaning.

Jordan means- free flowing
Ethan means- Firmness, steadfastness, constancy.
Joel- means God is God or God is willing. (Joel was a biblical prophet)

Goodluck in your search

I do like Ben But like I said it's my cousins name and we have taken Matthew of that family.

Now we have gone a different way thinking Aidan But spelt Aidan, Aden or Adan

Aidan is the Irish spelling and DH is Irish.

I'm confused shouldn't have to do this when your pregnant.
