If you want to make something like GKs you will need PUL which you can't get from Spotlight.

Otherwise you can use 2 layers of fleece, but that won't look as nice after a few washes.

Sometimes you can get suedecloth for the lining.
Cotton rich fleece is on sale at the moment for $7.95/m (it's usually $12.95/m) It's beautiful for lining for pockets.

If you want the best absorbing fabric you need hemp or bamboo. there is a co-op going for that at the moment so maybe you should get some through that.

you will need elastic, thread, and velcro which you can get from Spotlight

ok basically I can use Hemp or Bamboo or suede cloth for the inside?? and 100% polyester for the outside? That would be ok??

Hemp and/or bamboo for the soaker materials

Suedecloth for the lining - this is poleyter, but very thin

100% polyester for the outside - but it has to be thick enough too, you want the thick fleece and one that is anti pill

Ok one thing lol!!

I just want to be clear on this before I go to spotlight..

for the inside first have hemp/bamboo then over it suedecloth then put it on polyester? is that right hope I am clear on this??so basically once its finished All I see is suedecloth inside and I turn it over its polyester?

Is this right?? so the hemp/bamboo is hidden in middle?? Do I make a hole in between to put something in between like GK? or is it all closed up and used as it is?

You can make a pocket nappy (like a GK) that has fleece on the back, suedecloth in front (or lining). Then you can make inserts from hemp or bamboo, to put in the middle of the nappy.

Or if you are making an AIO then you would sew the hemp and bamboo in the middle and sew it up together, but it will take longer to dry, and you might need an extra flip out insert.

yep... I had a brainwave couldn't I use a terry cloth as a insert I can easily sew them togetherto make it one insert??? I have 100% cotton ones and never will use it on its own so might as well make them useful

would it work????
