[silent] Reflux experiences pleez

for those who have had baby[s] with reflux,
am wondering if the increase is partly attributed to the rise in caesarians...

1~ did you have a caesarian
or vaginal birth... [or both in the end - emregency c/s after labour etc]

2~ were forceps used in any part of your birth

3~ has chiropractic worked for your bubs reflux

4~ do you have any other [health] concerns with your [silent] reflux baby...

Is it just silent reflux or both silent and normal reflux you are interested in?

Both my kids were normal vaginal births, both had reflux. DS also had other health problems (pyloric stenosis)

I had a caesarian with forceps. DS is also undersize, no other health concerns other than the size.

He had silent reflux that was controlled with mylanta and my diet (breastfeeding)

I had a vaginal birth with a fairly rapid second stage no intervention planned homebirth but my baby still had some need for chiropractic and cranial osteopathy that turned the corner on reflux for him.

I had my DD by c/section. She also has reflux but I don't think the 2 are related in any way.

I thought that reflux was more of a genetic thing. My DH had reflux as a baby and 3 of his sisters kids had very severe reflux (all requring a number of surgeries) and my older brother also had reflux. So it was no real surprise for my DD to have it.

Have no previous history of reflux in our family on either side. Had two bubs out of three with reflux. Last bub has silent reflux and occassional normal reflux. Bub b4 had normal reflux (not silent) and all bubs were delivered normally without complications. Hope this helps!!

It would be interesting to see what the 'other health problems' are in all the bubs with reflux. Both my DS had reflux and they are both now lactose intolerant. Both also long vaginal births.

With dd i had a vb and was assisted with vacuum,with ds was just a vb
2~ were forceps used in any part of your birth
with dd not ds
3~ has chiropractic worked for your bubs reflux
I didnt know about chiropractor with dd so i just used other things for it.

I had ds's back adjusted when he was born and it helped alot
4~ do you have any other [health] concerns with your [silent] reflux baby..
