View Full Version : What weird things does your child like to play with?
My friends Mum once told me that when her girls where babies she would trap march flies in a paper bag & twist up the end & they would play with it like a rattle & hear them buzzing around. I would have been scared Azalea would chew through the bag:eek:
Azalea loves to play with tampons:o I unwrap yhem for her & give her a cup of water, she is fascinated by watching them blow up as they absorb all water then she likes to squeeze it back out & blow them up again.
So what odd things do you let you kiddies play with?
My kids love the pegs, they have a million uses for them, but mostly they like to build with them or use them for dress ups, I find pegs everywhere, not nearly as wierd as your two examples though! LOL

A few months back I was at an antenatal clinic and DD was playing up so the midwife gave her one of those small sterilised packaged syringes (no needle of course). She carries the thing around like its the prized lotus still to this day, more than 5 months later!!

My 2 y/o niece loves to play with people's freckles!! She kisses them, touches them and laughs at them, it's so cute. I've got a mole on my arm and when she pushes, i say 'pop pop!' really loud and throw her up in the air. She loves it.
My DD loves the vacuum cleaner, she rides it, walks with it, and likes to push the buttons, it's a nightmare when I'm trying to vacuum.

DD loves to play with pegs, remotes, keys and her latest fave is my organiser, she loves it, thinks its great... The bright pink colour might help that!!

I have a teddy bear called Pierced Pete who is anatomically correct which DD loves to play with. She used to carry him round by his boy bits when she was younger.

DD has a sock fetish. My DS tends to take them off when he gets in from school and just leaves them on the floor. DD loves them. The smellier the better!!!

Bub loves CDs so I bought her a pack of cheap blank ones for her to play with :o

I was givin a teddy like that for my 16th birthday:laughing: I forgot he ever existed until I saw your post, I wouldn't have a clue where he is now:confused:
anything and everything....
he likes to play with drains, straws, coke bottle lids...well lids in general. he likes to pull the ring pulls off soft drink cans...i could go on forever....i dont have to give him toys, he'll play with anything...
When I was little (probably about 4-5) I had a dolls washing machine that had a thing so you could make it spin really fast & I used to like to catch skinks & spin them round & round, really fast & then tip them out & watch them run around in circles because they got so dizzy:o :devil6:

Charlie loves playing with my wallet. He pulls all the cards out and puts them back in (the wrong places) and counts the money (easy...cos there's never alot)
And remotes...they make the best pretend phones!!!

Azalea does this too & it drives me mad:banghead: The amount of times Iv got to the shop & had no key card or gone to catch the train & had no change for the ticket machine is a joke. She actually steals my money & puts it in her money tin:rolleyes:
Cody likes mops, brooms, vacuum cleaners, cleaning cloths, I have one serious neat freak in my house :D :laughing: Hopefully he remebers what they are for as he gets older!!!! He also gets my purse in the shops pulls out cards ect. He has lost my licence and I have been called to the service desk at the shops as he has dropped my cards all over the place!!!!! But the old rice in a bottle has been the absolute fav of all 3 of my boys!!!
DD loves remotes, hair ties, washing:o purses, brooms, sponges (she wipes the floor saying MESS MUMMY MESS:o )
Her fave is her special "box" filled with odd plastics/tupperware etc she loves it....
And kamaraj we have one of those bottles too:thumbsup:
Oh and spring ROFLMFAO your DD playing with tampons...... My bro put one in water when we were like 10...when I first got my period, I was like NO WAY IN HELL am I using those.............:o

Azalea loves brooms & sponges too! She pretends to ride the broom as though she is a witch though rather than sweeping with it. She loves to use sponges to wipe up water of the floor she will delibretly ask for water over & over just to pour it out knowing I will make her clean it up:o Bloody scoundral!

Ezaria loves paper, I can sit her down with some junk mail and she'll be happily entertained for hours.
She also likes socks, cushions, keys, phones, remotes, and pulling tissues out of the box.

ds2 plays with his one after I give him his antibiotics, he's fascinated by it :rolleyes: He also seems to have a shoe fetish.. Got a loungeroom full of toys and he'll crawl straight to the shoe basket.

ok my mum who's here having a play with the kids just told me I used to stick my fingers into snail shells (ones with the snail still inside) and use the smiley stuff to finger paint on the footpath :o:barf:
