Hi all
Does anyone know what happens to your body when your period is late?
I am sure the cause of mine has to do with the change of meds and a bit of stress on my body.
However, I am pretty sure I ovulated 14 days prior to my should have been period.
This may sound confusing! Im confusing myself! What I'm saying is, is if your body reacts to stress after you have ovulated, is this why the cycle is late??
LOL!!
Hope someone understands :ecomcity:

If stress affects your cycle it normally would make you ovulate late, which would then make your period late.
Generally the first half of the cycle can be of variable length - so you can ovulate on CD 8 or CD 28 - but the second half will always be roughly 14 days, give or take a few days. Once the egg is released, AF is a foregone conclusion and stress or nothing else will delay it. But stress can delay ovulation in the first place (I'm confusing myself now  )
So if your period is late its a fair bet you didn't ovulate when you think you did. Hope that made sense I've had a couple of beers LOL.

I havent had any positive opks since ive been ttc (2 months).
According to the cm and height of cervix, i was ovulating at the time i thought, but maybe it was just preparation before the 6 days fertile window?LOL or maybe im just always that high and wet.
LOL. oh thats a bit gross.......... and i havent even had a drink!:ecomcity:
Hi belle,
As far as i know when there is late O then there is late AF. Sometime you have fertile fluid but you dont O immediately. Some times you have same type of fertile fluid after bding . I was also confused that earlier.
Why dont you take temp . it helped me this time to be sure that i had already O ed.Till the temp dont increase do boing so that you dont miss the chance.
Good luck.
