Hi all,
i've just turned 21 and had a bubba too I am also at uni in my last semster of a communications degree(part time). I was pregnant throughtout 2004 and still studied. I did't know what to expect going back to uni with a baby, i am very lucky to have a great partner (who is a fulltime student also) to help out. I am able to take bub to my classes but am not ready yet to leave him in childcare (he is only 10wks old :) I say get out there and study make a great life for you new family and set a great example for your children.
Centrelink will still pay you parenting payment (which is roughly the same as Youth Allowance and slightly more than Austudy) as well as Tax Benefit Part A and B if you have a partner who is on a benefit or who earns under about $30 000 a year. I am pretty certian of these facts but obviously check with Centrelink.
love and peace
