Could I Get Pregnant just after period?

Hi all i have a question,:wave:

If a couple has unprotected sex just after a period is there any chance that pregnancy may occur? i am very fertle i have 2 children already but both were conceived right on ovulation is there any chance of a pregnancy just after a period? I would love a girl i have 2 boys...

How long can sperm survive?

if the environment is hostile to sperm does it kill the sperm straight away or do they hang around but cas there is no mucous to carry them they just dye off?

Hi mybumblebee - I'm no expert in this field but found this info:
The maximum is usually five days, and only if you have optimal cervical mucus, which is eggwhite or watery. Sperm last longer in that fluid, which peaks shortly before ovulation. If you have recently menstruated, or are due to again soon, sperm probably won't last more than a day or two, if they make it past the hostile cervial fluid you have the rest of the month.

hey there, I did myself conceive just after a period with #3.
My cycles were sorting themselves out and went shorter to a 21 day cycle (was 28 day before DS) after I had my implanon removed and so therefore for me I was most fertile about the 7th day.

well ok guys an update!

I'm freaking out i was due for my preiod today but i started getting a bit of coloured disharch 2 days a go but nothing since then a bit of coloured discharge this morning actually i m not sure if im due today i got my period on the 15th of april and today is the 15th of may so it has been 30 days the longest eva in between periods 1st day to first day- I did a test a very light positive like i mean i can see it but im looking and i am feeling squeemish like i did with the boys even before my first period was due please guys input what do you think im freaking my 2nd son is only 6 months!

I am new to this forum have been in ?? week wait and over thirty & TTC,
I have been trying to fall preggers for about 4 yrs last week i went to ivf and they pretty much said that i needed to lose 10kg cause my BW is so out of wack.
i have had my BW since 18/04/07 and finally finished yesterday so we had BD so hopefully fingers crossed :fingerscrossed: it finally happens cause i dont know when im O so i just have to try my luck hopefully its on my side this month

We started TTC April this year, I had a discharge on 10dpo and started my menstrual cycle on the night of the 10th of may. I menstruated only for 2 days. My cycles are also strange - last month 27 days this month 26days. Now I'm also sick with flu and antibiotics. Dr said its fine TTC after my pills are finished - thats on Friday. Ovulation is next week somewhere. I got pregnant after antibiotics the previous time, but miscarried Sept last year - chromosone imbalance.

So I'm keeping my :fingerscrossed: for a :bfp: .

Hi mybumblebee. Can i ask (and I know this is TMI, sorry!) is the little bit of discharge you had clear or yellow or bloodstained? Because my period has never been late (3-4 days now) and the last 4 days I've had cramps and some white/yellow discharge. Wondering if I could be pregnant? Also feeling a bit squeemish this morning which is not normal for me. I've never heard of increased discharge being a sign of pregnancy.
