View Full Version : Wedding Gift suggestions!
Okay here is the challenge. We have a couple, friends of ours in the UK getting married next month. For their honeymoon, they are holidaying around Australia and will be coming to visit us for a few days towards the end of their trip. We want to give them a special wedding gift, but are stuck for ideas.
They have been together for a few years, have a house and all that goes in it. In fact they are currently in the process of moving into a new bigger home, so we don't have the address, otherwise we would of considered sending something, to await them on their return from the honeymoon.
They will be travelling back to the UK, so it can't be breakable or too big, as they will be putting it in their luggage.
Any suggestions? Something unique to Australia perhaps? All ideas welcome!!
Thanks in advance!!

If they are visiting Sydney you could buy them a Harbour Bridge Walk!
Its uniquely Australian and doesnt take up any room in their luggage!
For my 21st my uncle sent me a card with all of these computer printed vouchers for my trip over to perth to visit him.
They had in them
This voucher entitles you to a winery tour with 2 lovely tour guides and a sumptuous meal & glass of wine of your choice.
This voucher entitles you to a weekend trip to Rott Nest Island da da da
This voucher entitles you to a night out on the town including the Casino with $50 to spend. Gambling tips & advice including your choice of cocktail.
This voucher entitles you to a Day at the races including a delicious lunch and $50 betting money.
Well you get the idea and there was about 10 of them with all the major site seeing stuff to do around WA.
So maybe that is something to look at that won't involve them having to take anything in their suitcases.

What about a framed print of Australian scenery?

I know what you mean we went away and some stuff got broken so you could not do to much glass stuff unless it was smaller and they can take it on the plain with them in a back pack thats what we ended up doing when we went away again.
Ideas i could thing of but dont know if you would like are
- Gift set with a certificate holder and photo fram
- Photo frame with their wedding date and names on it
- Book something for them to do the day and out for fdinner
- A small gift basket with stuff from australia in it so stuff like, Key rings, Plastic cups, etc
- You could see if you could go online shopping and get them a gift certificate for them and then that way they could buy what they want/
_ their are cute teddy bears around?
i wouldnt know much more then that sorry
