What does a mcn consist of?

This is probably a stupid question. I am wanting to start making some mcns and am not sure what they consist of.
What do you make them with?
How many layers etc?

I have only made pocket nappies, so can only comment on those. I make them with an outer layer of PUL and an inner of suedecloth, but you can use other materials for the inner. Then you can stuff them with whatever you like - microfibre, hemp, bamboo or terry towelling, even facewashers!

If you go to the nappies covered site, there is a section telling you what to buy and how much for each nappy, it even includes elastic and velcro.
