I personally wouldn't use Panadeine (Paracetamol and Codeine) in pregnancy.
But the literature does say that it is a Category A drug which means that it has been taken by a large number of pregnant women and women of childbearing age without any proven increase in the frequency of malformations or other direct or indirect harmful effects on the foetus.
Try an ice pack on your cheek. Ice is great for pain.

Argh don't our bodies understand we've got wisdom coming out our ears!
I try to avoid painkillers all together, but don't see a problem with taking panadene while pregnant, like 2boysmama says - it is a Category A drug.
Another option are the numbing antiseptic throat lozenges... work a real treat.
Mine are coming out next month :smiliedance:
Hope you feel better soon :hugs:

Panadeine is perfectly safe.
Another slightly more unpleasant cure is a clove (not garlic but actual cloves) on the spot. Tastes disgusting but does work

Was just thinking cloves.
My sister was given a bottle of Clove oil (i think found at those hippy stores, but sure chemists have it these days lol).
Completely numbed the area, she didn't need panadeine anymore.

If you are still in a great deal of pain you need to go back and see your dentist before thursday as it could be dry socket. I had dry socket when I had my wisdom teeth pulled out and it was extreamly painfull. Dry socket is when the blood clot has failed to form or been dislodged and so prevents the whole from healing. With mine the dentist gave me anisthetic and then made it bleed to form another clot.
Definanty try to get back to see the dentist

Codeine is a category A1 medication, so proven completely safe in pg. The only problem with it might be that it can cause constipation - so make sure you drink plenty of water and eat an appropriate amount of fibre.

I actually found bonjela worked better on my wisdom teeth than panadeine forte. Swish with salty water as well, that will help with infection. Gargling with listerine also helped. I hope your appointment goes well!!
