carrie - i had problems getting any money back from both HBF and MEdicare for paed accounts (now around $700, and have another visit coming up). HBF told me they wouldnt pay because the baby wasnt "admitted" into hospital, even though he WAS, 10 minutes after birth he was admitted to neonatal for 2 nights, but HBF say that paed saw him before he was admitted - by 10 minutes!!!!!
i am still waiting to hear from medicare. oh well, the doctor will have to wait for his money.....
]Firsttime - the most annoying thing is we were not made aware of this extra cost so very unhappy about that! That is gay about Alexander 'not being admitted' to hospital! Government just doesn't wanna have to pay ppl for it.

ELMO - are you getting the girl from caversham to do the small print? DO yuo know if you have to go to her place or does she come to you?
Umm yeah i think thats her.. Her name is Marnie.. She is the only one in WA i think. I would just email her and ask her what the process is etc. I would think that she would be able to come to you though (you would probably have to pay fuel rates though)
Taryn- With quotes, if you want to delete part of it and keep the rest you just have to make sure that you dont delete the bit at the beginning and end that are in the [ ] marks. As long as they are there your quote should work fine!
Amity is in bed, Griffin is asleep, Sam is at work.... Such lovely peace and quiet... aaahhhh :D

I think E is finally gonna have a couple of hours sleep!
Gave her 60ml in a bottle which she drank 40 or 50 of & she passed out in my arms! I wrapped her & put her down at 2pm & haven't heard from her since!
Wonder what all the dribbling is about? I know it's a sign of teething but obviously not this young lol.

Hiya, just a quickie as I'm sooooo tired and pi$$ed off at my kids. Matthew just wont sleep - currently leaving him screaming in his cot and feeling awful about it!!! :gloomy: He's ben awake since 6am and despite falling asleep a couple of times he wont stay asleep for longer that 20mins (if that) then just won't go back.
Just how long is okay to let him cry?
Ryan just won't stop saying "hey mummy" every 5 bloody seconds and I have just about had enough!!!
SOrry for the vent.... :banghead:
Hope everyone else is having a better day...

Nemosmum I think this is beautiful that your hubby thinks its his mum talking and playing with O. I read once that when babies smile in their sleep they are talking to angels.
Hey has anyone changed their mind about having more children?? Dh is slowly convincing me to only have the two. I was set on 3 originally and I cant stop thinking about it all of the time. DH said we will talk about it again in a year. I wonder how I will feel in a year???
that is very sweet about the angels and much nicer then the usual "shes got wind" i hear from my mother all the time! hahaha
DH is very very keen for more and talks constantly about "Franklin" yes his already named his future son:rolleyes:
I dont want anymore (at least thats what i keep telling myself shhhh dont let on to dh but im clucky already:eek: )
Dh keeps smirking and saying "dont worry you'll be singing cluck cluck clucky very soon!"
the bad part about it is i think i will be:no: but i dont want to!
ARGH i keep picturing the last moments of Iris's birth to keep me focused on NO MORE kids lol

R & M's mum...
Logan was just like that, sleeping 20min at a time, eventually it stretched to half hour and then 1.5-3 hrs but thats was in months. I just learned to deal with it in the end. Does he fully wake up after the 20min?? It may be that he cant settle himself back to sleep. Does he fall asleep in your arms?
I'm also hearing you on the "mummy" thing every 5 seconds. I've been getting "mummy" I say yes, he says "mumma" I say yes, he says "mum" and I say yes again and so the cycle goes with the occasional daddy/poppy/nanny/bubba in there too!! over and over and over again. he he
I cant help with the letting him cry thing but its better to walk away and take a break for yourself. Hope it improves for you. So hard with 2 kids too hey! :hugs:
Hey Ladies,
Just a quick post while DH and Madi are asleep.
Hope everyone is well and bubs are doing great.
Carrie and Firsttime - I am in the same vote with the paed bill, so ****ed off that MBF will not cover the bill as they also are saying it's due to Madi not been admitted when I had her etc. It's so wrong, wish we were told about these things before we had our bubs. Not looking forward to the other paed bill arriving in the mail this week.
That's so freaky about the baby monitor stories. I have Madi's monitor right next to me and listening very carefully for any strange sounds. That's so beautiful Tazzy what you said about a baby smiling while asleep.....Madi does this all the time, maybe she has a few angels, especially after everything she has been through.
I am looking forward to Madi sleeping more in the night, she still sleeps only 3 to 4 hours at a time.....I so need a full night sleep. Carrie thanks for the tip about nappy change before feed at night, I always change half way through after a burp, this wakes her up so much!

Ryan&MatthewsMum.......what Taryn said hun:hugs:
Its hard with two coz theres always someone wanting your attention.
Hang in there...maybe try taking a quick shower...it always helps me as I let dh handle it even if its just 10mins of peace and with the water running you cant hear the kids!
Are you sure DH wasn't pulling your leg or hearing things...?
Just re quized him lol and he said, no no dont be freaked out your mum was def in the room, so I called mum and she said she wasnt ( she would never just come into our home in the middle of the night )
Caithi - Sometimes baby monitors can pick up the signal from another baby monitor.
Re the smallprint tags, She should have told you that Anais' fingerprints wouldnt show up until 16 weeks...
Fingers crossed its someone elses monitor... only thing is I am in a street of older couples(40 to 80 yos) ( well its actually a small crescent which is really social he he ) BUT im using that as the reason as I dont want to freak myself out again!
His dad asked us out for dinner with his girlfriend and when it came time to pay he said 'Oh I don't have any money I'm broke this week.' So we had to fork out $100 for dinner . The girlfriend didn't even offer to pay any of it.
Jeeze... thats a bit rude!! :hugs: your way for just "dealing" with the situation hun!
Can i ask why is it that boys are the ones that get the extra long thick stunning gorgeous eye lashes and the girls are left with thin crappy ones?????
Caithi...ya dag you obviously dont speak fluent shopaholic mummy slang yet,
can you teach Iris too? How about Leah and Monty as well??? hehehehe Monty already has the tu tu!!!
With Iris though we've had nothing lol her god mother reckons thats because dh's mother has been reincarnated and has come back as our Iris
lol yes.... my little nai nai has the shortest eyelashes too he he - hey we are born with a valid excuse for beauty treatments / products lol
OK.. I am now studying shopaholic mummy slang and should be up to date lol asap!
I would love to teach the bubs - have Monty as the star.. since he has the whole outfit and everything lol
OMG!! IF ANIAS IS MY DHS MUM I WOULD JUST DIE!! lol You must have had a lovely MIL :)
Also i am booked in to get my tattoo in a couple of weeks so i will post some pics when its done. Only a teensy bit sacred! Oh well i have gone thru labour twice so im sure i can do a total of 6 hrs of tattooing...Wish me luck!
Oooooooh.. I have been reading that tattoo thread with the tattoo of the babies hand prints and I want to get that done as a Moters Day present from DH. Anyone know of any good tattoo artists?
Im sure I will wimp out but that thread got me thinking!
http://www.stardustkids.co.uk/acatalog/Personalised-Kids-Clothes.html
OK... you are going to send me broke lol - I think they do send to Oz!
just hope they dont come visiting then as I am a big SCARDY CAT on my own!
He he - that would be scary all by yourself!
Caithi - I enquired about getting the fingerprint done on the bracelet for my joint b'day / Mother's Day present as website implies you do steps 1-3 and they do steps 4-12 but no they do all of it so I can't have it done as they aren't in Brisbane and couldn't recommend anywhere similar in Brisbane.
BIRTHDAYS - I know it is like 11 months off lol but I was thinking we could organise like a secret santa type thing for the bubs' birthdays next year? What are your thoughts?
Caithi - Her mum apparently has the Anais Anais perfume
Ah babe that sucks! Maybe something you can do when you visit! :)
Birthady thing sounds great - Im in.
You just reminded me, re the purfume - might put it on my Mothers Day wish list! Thanks!
Ryan just won't stop saying "hey mummy" every 5 bloody seconds and I have just about had enough!!!
SOrry for the vent....
Hope everyone else is having a better day...
Babe big hugs your way and a large bottle of scotch!
PS - Little Nai nai has been up from 7:00pmish last night until 2pm today. urghhhhhhhh
I thought that all babies just slept, ate and pooped! lol
Im assuming its that growth spurt eveyone is talking about? She seems to get quite upset too.
QUESTION...
Is her poo supposed to have chunks in it - sort of army green? Did a massive one last night ( two nappies worth lol) - looked like there were "bits" in it?
And is it ok for her to go two and a half days without a poo?
Hey girls,
Took me ages to read the 5 pages so super quick as my little angel is asleep :fingerscrossed: .
We've had a big day today. Went out to my doula (now friend) house which is out in the sticks. It was great and Sam had a ball but we are all zonked and I have two grumpy kids who were lossing it big time on teh way home.
What is the secret???? Please please please share!!!
What I am doing as taken from this book is recognising the three stages of tired sign, wrapping her up warm and secure, taking her upstairs, sitting and singing a lullaby, popping her in her bassinet. If she cries and fusses then Im patting her down with the shhhh shhhh type thing or picking her up.
The main points she emphasises is to treat the baby respectfully and to meet the babies needs i.e. dont let them cry it out, pick them up, rock them etc etc what ever you need to do but always put them down awake and stop patting them before they fall asleep. Dont respond to every whimper either as often they will get themselves off to sleep without help if they are just grumbling and not asking for attention.
Day 1 was a hard day but its getting easier each day. Oh, plus apparently the dummy is a good thing for newborns. Apparently t hey need to suck for 16 hours out of every 24! Never knew that. Just thought I had sucky babies.
Its an excellent book. Has some great signs and indications of baby's body language which seem to be pretty spot on.
(PS - Can you just tell me its fake fur:thumbsup:
LOL, yip, 100% fake.
Then last night my DH said to me...
Was your mum here last night? ( she has been known to stay with me to help at night)
I said no, why?
He said "Yes she was. I heard someone saying shhhhhhhhhh shhhhhhhhh to the baby through the monitor"
MUM WASNT HERE
We had that once where a baby started crying in the night and it wasn't ours. As lana said, we picked up another house......... so be careful what you say around your own monitor because you never know whos listening to that LOL.
Crying again ... Screaming! Poor chicky sounds like she's in pain. Maybe growing pains? Please HELP! She is also dribbling heaps and spewing heaps & even chunky spew sometimes. HELP HELP!!!
@--`-,-------
Carrie, is she being overfed? Might be wind. Are her hands or the area around her lips blue tinged?
Hiya, just a quickie as I'm sooooo tired and pi$$ed off at my kids. Matthew just wont sleep - currently leaving him screaming in his cot and feeling awful about it!!! He's ben awake since 6am and despite falling asleep a couple of times he wont stay asleep for longer that 20mins (if that) then just won't go back.

Ryan just won't stop saying "hey mummy" every 5 bloody seconds and I have just about had enough!!!...
Hope your day got better. :hugs:
Sams doing the same thing all the time too "mummy......mummy.........mummy........." drives me nuts.
Re the leaving to cry..... as long as you need to gain some sanity IMO.
ARGH i keep picturing the last moments of Iris's birth to keep me focused on NO MORE kids lol
I know its very personal and I hope Im not too rude to ask but what went wrong? Dont answer if you dont want.
Ok, washing to hang out. Leah has no clothes and keeps peeing on them all.
P.S. edited to add, sorry Sarah that your photos got postponed and thank you all for the lovely comments regarding our photos.

Nothing really, it was a very easy birth (so the midwife claimed lol) so i shouldnt complain its just well its that horrible burning sensation like
i was going to split in two feeling that i dont want to experience again:laughing:  :D
Hello my lovelies!
So sorry for the "me" posts of late, I think you're all superwomen the way you manage to reply to so many posts.
Anna, those photos are truly magnificent, and how lovely to have such angelic ones of Sam if he has a tanty, LOL, just look at that pic for a bit eh?
Pretty cool that you and your doula are now friends, and I imagine it could be useful at times to swap info/tips about work too!
Sarah, don't think I could hack the baby monitor stuff, the thought is beautiful... I'm just a real sook!
And what is it with posting links to all these gorgeous baby products eh? LOL, I do love having a peek though...:p tempted to buy the pond mat as it would look great near his cot (I really should take some pics of his cot)
R+M'sMum, :hugs:, I hope Matthew has settled by now!
Caithi- It is wonderful to hear you sounding so good, that little sweetheart of yours must bring so many smiles to your face, I love looking at her in your avi!
As for tattooists, there was one called "Illustrated Man" in the Cross which is supposed to be brilliant.
Good luck with yours Jaimie, looking forward to the pics!
Lana, I've forgotten, did you design yours? It is def one of the prettiest I've ever seen.
Shoddy about having to pay for the paed, sounds like a load of rubbish about the timing, can't believe so many of you are having to pay! Hope it gets sorted soon.
Firstbubonway- how are things with you?
I have just done something I said I never would... popped a dummy in Kes' mouth! LOL, I was so adament before he was born that I wouldn't use them...
Must say, I'm amazed at the result... for the first time in a week, I put him down awake and he isn't screeching! Seems to just love it, which is wonderful as he gets so overtired during the day! Very excited to read that they need to suck Anna, makes me feel even better!
As for his sleeping, I woke at 9 this morning, but he was just so cute stretching and hugging himself, yawning and sighing, and sleeping so peacefully... that I stayed there till midday! Felt pretty lazy but couldn't bear to disturb him. So that was 12 hours for him, with a few meal breaks overnight (he's in with us, so the eating is just a hazy memory by morning!)
I think he could do with a cuddle now, I hope you're all having a good night!
XGin
Yep carrie a meet up would be great.
Big hugs to all the mummies that are getting no sleep. :hugs:
M&Rsmum- I would leave him for a few minutes..its so hard isnt it? I really hope you feel better soon. Dont feel bad for feeling ****ed off though. I told Dh that i didnt want to be a mum anymore the other night!
And about my tattoo. Im getting a huge flower in bloom(kind of like a chrysanthimum?) but in the oriental colour type style (sorry im bad at explaining!) and t will be darkish pink and bluey green petals. The flower will take roughly 3 hrs (thats how long im capping the first session at anyway!) and then to make it a complete half sleeve from the top of my shoulder to my elbow i am getting swirling blackwash. I fi can get a link to something similar i will post it. Wish i could post the pic of it but i left my book with the tattooist to draw up.
And if i can handle it i will get the girls starsigns added onto my neck where i already have mine and Dhs.
Shezi- The butterfly idea sounds great! I love feminine tattoos.
Lana- What is the tattoo on your arm?

Griffin has the same thing. They look like little soft bits of playdough yeah?? His poos vary from a yellowy mustard colour to the army green colour. As for the 2 1/2 day poing, as long as she doesnt seem like she is in pain when trying to poo its fine.
Gin - Nah i didnt design mine but i wish i could draw that well! I struggle to draw a duck for amity lol! The guy who did it for me designed it. I am the only person with it!
Jaimie - My tatt is actually on my should blade... here is a pic (http://i102.photobucket.com/albums/m111/Amitys_mum/DSC01233-1.jpg) The photo hasnt reallly captured the colour very well because of the flash, its a bit brighter than that.

Sorry hun dont know what your referring too:confused:
Hi Girls,
Caithi, ahh your DH must have picked up noises from someone elses monitor then. We can only hope hey! Are you still going to continue with the co-sleeping thing?
R&M's Mum Awww big :hugs:. Sounds like life has been stressful for you.
It's times like this that I am glad I don't have another child... I am sorry to hear that your older ones are being handfuls. Do you think it's something to do with seeking your attention???
Chelsea slept in her room in her cot for the first time from 1.30pm-4.30pm today. I was sooo stoked. I put the monitor on and she just slept like an angel. Her dummy came out a couple of times as she was drifting off & dozing lightly but after putting that back in, she finally dozed off properly at about 2.30pm.
I got her up for a feed, play and change and then she was ready to go back to bed, so I thought "hmmm I will put her straight back in the cot".. and to my amazement, she fell asleep straight away! Wooohooo! Good Girl Chelsea!!!! :yelclap:
This is what I used to help Chels get off to sleep in her cot the first time today..
Chelsea's Sea Show (http://i154.photobucket.com/albums/s262/Scoobstar/ChelseasDolphinPicture.jpg)
It all lights up, has the sound of waves and the water moves. It's amazing and knowing my Dad, it wouldn't have been cheap. Chelsea is so spoilt! Her Grandpa bought it for her before we even came out of hospital. He said it's for Chelsea and it MUST go on the wall in her room! Lucky little tiger!! Mummy has a collection of dolphin stuff with over 450 pieces, but I can't claim this one LOL I've been told! LOL
GREAT NEWS Re: Chelsea's Hip Ultrasound - The peadiatrician said that he can't rule out further treatment in the future (for sure) but at this time he see's no need for any treatment. He would like her to have another ultrasound to make sure that it's still righting itself. Fabulous news! The ultrasound is booked for May 30th. Apparently there is only 57% coverage of the socket over her femer bone at the top of her leg where it attaches itself in the hip socket. Not to worry though as it is a lot better now than it was at birth and the doc seems really happy with it!!
Her 6-8 week check up went excellent as well. She is in mighty fine shape!
Hope all is well with you girls and your bubbas!

Thanks for everyone's support... I am feeling a bit better now. Had a cry and he finally settled for nearly two hours. I've just done the dinner feed (was 7:20ish) and he is just attempting to settle now. :fingerscrossed: as all is quiet so far.
And is it ok for her to go two and a half days without a poo?
Carrie - you poor babe its just a nightmare when they wont' sleep. I ended up in tears this afternoon - hope you are coping okay.
Re the pooing - apparently its quite normal for breastfed babies to go 1 week to 10 days without a poo!!! (Not sure what the deal is for formula bubs) Ryan was so good at pooing (just about every nappy) that I didn't believe this but Matthew is such a slow pooper usually 5 t o7 days between - we are now clocking up 7 days with no poo  . I am sure that is why he is so unsettled. Grunts and squirms seemingly trying to push it out. Lots of smelly farts which get me all excited but sadly no poo .
When he does finally poo I will feel like ringing everyone in celebration so stay tuned..... hopefully I can contain myself to just announcing it here on BH.
Brissie girls - I'd love to do a meet, count me in!
PS Anna - great photos!!!!!

GREAT NEWS Re: Chelsea's Hip Ultrasound -
Thanks Scoobs. Yeah I think it could be attentino seeking. The worst of it was that he wasn't really being naughty at all - just wanting me to play etc. Made me feel so guilty.
Anyway - great to hear re Chelsea's hips. My niece (now 18minths) had to wear one of those braces as she had clicky hips. She is all good now though. I'm sure Chelsea will continue to improve.
Cheers
Sharon.
PS - love the dolphin piccy BUT you missed the colon ":" after the http in the link.
R&M's Mum, is the link working properly now. I tried to click on it when I first posted it and it didn't work so I went back and fixed it up. Hopefully it is working for you as it is for me.
Can someone please let me know if it is working correctly (the link, that is).. Tah!
I think R&M's Mum has actually gone offline. Poor thing, she must be soooo tired and warn out from Matthew not settling. :fingerscrossed: he is sleeping for Sharon now.
Em, I am so glad you had a great trip away and that Cooper was such a good boy. Pity bout having to pay for dinner - that's SOOO rude of your FIL and his girlfriend...!
I would have said "Sorry, we only brought enough money to pay for our dinner!" and seen his reaction. I am sure he would have been a little shocked. I wonder what he would have done LOL
I really like listening to you when you talk about Cooper.. because I always think that Chelsea is not far behind him.. well I know it's four weeks but it gives me time to be ready for her next milestones. I take in what u mention he does and wait for Chelsea to be able to do the same things. Thanks for sharing and being so caring! Your info helps me out heaps and I always look forward to your posts re: how your doing, how your coping so well and what Coop is up to!! :hugs:
I like listening to everyone though lol I guess you all like hearing what I have to say about Chelsea too and what I am going through because it helps you to realise where your bubbas are nearly at, as well (just like me with Emma and Cooper). Hmm Im not explaining this very well am I? I hope you get what I mean.

Hey Scoob - Yep link works great now.
Well - Matt has been asleep since last feed. Heard a few grunts and grizzles but he resettled himself so thats a plus. Hopefully there is a BIG poo hiding in his nappy :fingerscrossed:.
Off to wake him now for his late night feed so I can go to bed....
Goodnight.
Oh, btw, i agree with Scoob. I just love reading and hearing how everyone is going. Feel guilty coz most of my posts are 'me' posts but I do love hearing what everyone is going thru.
Sorry hun dont know what your referring too:confused:
oops, sorry... I was referring to your DH saying it is your MIL on the monitor! :o

I love that pic, looks very soothing, your Dad sounds like a very proud Grandpa!
Jaimie, ah well, it looks great whoever designed it
Good work Matthew, sleep tight!
So disappointed, I had my heart set on that so I could add each baby's fingerprint to the bracelet.
i know! so peeved about this coz i wanted to get my mum one with all 10 grandkids on it.. but with 3 in brisbane it wasnt possible.. i also thought we did the steps at home and sent it to them.. they need to reword the website!
Hey has anyone changed their mind about having more children?? Dh is slowly convincing me to only have the two. I was set on 3 originally and I cant stop thinking about it all of the time. DH said we will talk about it again in a year. I wonder how I will feel in a year???
nope i still want a 4th but it'll take a yr or 2 to convince dp.. but thats fine by me. we went out for dinner last night.. just sizzlers.. but M was so good for us.. sat still the whole time and no playing up.. D on the other hand didnt want to sit in the highchair or a normal chair.. she wanted to do laps of the place! lol. so im glad A came along when she did or i might have hit this point and agreed with chris to just 2. actually no i wouldnt of
DH is very very keen for more and talks constantly about "Franklin" yes his already named his future son
i love the name franklin!! did you ask him what happens if its a girl? (not trying to scare ya but i dont think yous will be stopping at 2 hehe)
Day 1 was a hard day but its getting easier each day. Oh, plus apparently the dummy is a good thing for newborns. Apparently t hey need to suck for 16 hours out of every 24! Never knew that. Just thought I had sucky babies.
well yeah that makes sense.. what i want to know is why wont they take dummies!! lol. A uses ME as her dummy.. and she would pretty much suck all day if i let her.. she went 4hrs on and off earlier.. im going to buy an avent dummy i think.. they are the thinest that i've seen coz A has a fat tongue like her father!
Nothing really, it was a very easy birth (so the midwife claimed lol) so i shouldnt complain its just well its that horrible burning sensation like
i was going to split in two feeling that i dont want to experience again:laughing:
haha. that is a terrible feeling isnt it.. but in a weird way its good too coz you know bub is almost out!! you had iris so it cant have been that bad coz orlando didnt put you off lol. i seem to forget(more like BLOCK it out lol) and try not to think about it at all..

YAY CHELSEA! scoob thats fantastic news!! must be a huge relief for you! i love the pic your dad bought chels.. very nice!
well only took half an hour to put D to sleep tonight.. and chris was home so he held A when she woke up.. cheeky little thing.. i only put her to bed 5minutes prior to putting D to sleep..
anyway off to watch the rest of greys anatomy..
oh and whos babies are laughing??
omg im so thick! A was 2months old yesterday! hehe oops.. ok from no fingerprints till 16weeks to not remembering monthly milestones.. i aint gonna win mummy of the year lol! i tell people how old she is in weeks.. months makes them sound older imo..
R&M i hope you get a nice sleep tonight. i also agree with scoob.. i love "me" posts haha.
I want more children. Dh and I want to be preg by the end of the year. Don't know if it will happen as it took 8yrs to get Cooper, so :fingerscrossed: .
Em, I am so glad you had a great trip away and that Cooper was such a good boy. Pity bout having to pay for dinner - that's SOOO rude of your FIL and his girlfriend...!

:hugs: aww thank you scoob that means alot.
oh and whos babies are laughing??
Cooper's laughing, not all the time just a silly times like 4 in the morning when you try and feed him lol. He'll sit there and just giggle, getting up at 4am makes it all worth while then.

Kym - Thats great news about Chelsea's hips.. :fingerscrossed: the next scan will be even better!
I hope all the bubs are settling for you mummies.
Shez - Griffin has done a few little chuckles but nothing major yet. He loves 'cooing' at me though... way too cute! He always has smiles for his mummy! Amity made him smile today too. it looked so cute they way he was looking at her.
Well Amity starts Kindy dance Time tomorrow! YAY! And as Sam is back on night shift for the next week he will be coming with us. Im still trying to decide if thats a good of bad thing lol as it means he will see me dancing and looking stupid! (or even better, Amity might want Daddy to dance with her instead! :devil6: )
Shezi - I can't believe you still have Sizzlers over there. The Adelaide ones closed down about 10-15 years ago. I used to love going there as a kid & a teenager. I'm sooo jealous!!
It is a huge relief about her hips. More than anyone could imagine, I think.
It's also a relief that Chels slept in her cot today. After a 4.30pm feed, she was up again at 7pm and then again at 9pm for feeds but has been sleeping since then (so coming up to 4&1/2hrs). That's my girl! Although I will put her in our room tonight in the cradle cause I miss being so close to her LOL I will have to do the "moving into her room" slowly.. so I can deal with it LOL and so she can get used to it at a relaxing pace.
R&M's Mum - I was so glad to hear Matt has been sleeping for you. Was also really surprised that he resettled himself. That's an excellent sign and I hope things are on the improve for you. Sounds like it. I don't want to count your chickens too soon (lol) but I think it's a wonderful sign that he went back to sleep of his own accord! Great Job for hanging in there, GREAT JOB!
Carrie - You having troubles with your little bubba sleeping too??
BlueGin - My Dad is a VERY proud Grandpa.. My brother (2 years older) had 2 boys (Lachlan, now a big 4 years old and Cameron, now a 2 year old). He and my SIL DEFINITELY aren't having anymore children, so my Dad never got a Granddaughter... Until Chelsea came along - so he is proud as punch! He has one spare room in his place set up as the boys room and he wants to set up the other spare room as Chelsea's room, for when she goes to stay with them. His partner Chris keeps on his case about getting started on it. My Mum and Dad split up 4 years ago and both have new loves (they're both very happy too, so that's great!) It also means that Chelsea gets spoilt just that little bit more too because she has 3 sets of Grandparents!
Shez - Chelsea is laughing. I am sure that she has let out a few giggles. I hear her and I look at her and wait for her to do it again but it doesn't happen. It REALLY sounds like she is giggling though but I need to see her do it, so that I can be 110% sure. I'm only 109% sure at the moment LOL  Isn't it weird how they smile and giggle at the strangest times. I wonder what is going on in Chelsea's head most of the time, cause she smiles at nothing sometimes and at other times when I'm trying to be funny and pulling those funny faces and stuff, she just stares at me blankly.
Lana - Goodluck with Amity and her KindyDance. Sounds like you will have fun. Hmm maybe your thinking I should be wishing you goodluck for the dancing side of things haha Goodluck Sweetheart! Let me (actually all of us) know how it goes! I will laugh my head off if Sam has to dance. I think you should make him Lol, especially if he laughs at you!!!
Night girls, Chels should be up for her next feed shortly and I have had the computer online allday. Not that that is a problem as we have a good broadband plan. Hmm come to think of it, I have still got a lot done today, so I'm quite proud of that.
I never realised how capable I was of doing so much during my days. Especially seeing as I have got Fibromyalgia. I thought I would be way more fatigued. My body has been really sore but I think that is because Craig was on arvo's last week and he didn't get to spend much time (at all) caring for Chels or doing feeds etc. I'm amazed with how well I am coping. I still have my bad & frustrating days though, don't you worry! It helps that Chelsea is settling in to a bit of a routine though and that she is a pretty good bubba.
I forgot to mention that I got my period back for the first time since I had Chelsea. I started bleeding on Wednesday 18th of April and I STILL am. It is one of the heaviest periods I have had ever but is slowly slowing down. I am sick of it and want it to just stop already! The peadiatrician said it was normal for the first period after having a baby to be heavier and to last longer , especially for me because I had a caesar and there is still tissue 'n' blood and stuff breaking away from the scar area inside me. Sorry for TMI, but thought it was important to share with you's, incase your wondering about when you might get your period back etc etc.
Has anyone else got theirs back yet.. if so, how heavy was it and how long did ya bleed for?? If you'd rather not answer, then that's fine too.
Sleep tight everyone!

We still have Sizzler in Brisbane it's so yummy. The last time I went there was 2weeks after having Cooper.
We have just put Cooper in his own room tonight and I don't like it  I miss him too much. I thought I would get more sleep by doing it but as you can tell I'm up now at 2 in the morning and everyone is in bed. And he must kick the FP Aquarium thingy cos it keeps going off  . Gave me a scare the first time.
I got my P a few weeks ago it did last longer then 7 days, maybe 8 or 9 but it wasn't any heavier then usual.

Gin......ahhh now i get it (baby brain!)
Emma.....wow 8yrs you guys must be over the moon!
Shez.....argh sorry no offense but i cant stand the name Franklin (its after his fave uncle)
If we did have another bub and thats a big IF and she happened to be a lil girl we would proably call her Lily
Lily after my mum, only fair lol my mums name is Susan BUT susan means Lily of the valley coz i hate the name susan too lol
Re: blocking it out......thats the point lol i dont want too as that will be my contraceptive device
SHE HAS ONLY JUST GONE TO SLEEP!!!! 8.5 hrs later and it was hard.
Woke up at 2:15 am and has been awake ever since, didnt want to be put down if my eyes closed... she just wanted to party.
OMFG!! Duing the day you could let off a bomb and she would sleep through it, goes down without having to be settled etc etc etc but at night time if someone farts three houses down she will wake up and settling , well forget about it. I tried the patting, holding etc etc. She is fine if I hold her but as soon as I put her down she lets rip..... urghhhhhhh It feels really fustrtaing .... She also hates a dummy - tried ot again last nght and got more upset.:gloomy:
I actually said to her "whats wrong?? what do you want mate?" - sort of expecting her to answer lol then mark said - dont get upset with her... I wasnt upset with her I am just tired and didnt know what to do geeeze.
How do you guys do it with more than one child?? I physically couldnt open both eyes at one time early this morning and very early this morning I had to put her down because I felt like I was going to nod off and drop her while holding her - how do you do this and then look after more children????
oooooooops sorry vent over.
Re the pooing - apparently its quite normal for breastfed babies to go 1 week to 10 days without a poo!!!
Lots of smelly farts which get me all excited but sadly no poo .
When he does finally poo I will feel like ringing everyone in celebration so stay tuned..
Phew!! She has actually gone back to doing atomic farts lol, but now I know a couple of days is ok! :hugs:
You gave me a giggle after no sleep he he - I was getting excited eveytime I smelt/heard a fart lol
When she did a poo I woke mark up and said look how big it is!! It was HUGE!
:banghead: :banghead: :banghead: she is awake again:crying:

Caithi......I forget have you got a sling/baby bjorn/HAB or some such thing?
If yes put her in it and just let her cry lol she'll soon stop when shes snuggled in close to you and can hear your heart beat.
Its not always the most convienent for you I understand (I dont really like baby wearing myself but i do it as it works)
You are such a funny girl, your posts always have me in stitches hun at least you still have a sense of humor!
With re: to older kids, its easier the second time round AND you do just cope
That said it helps when your newborn is an  like Iris she just feeds and sleeps  perfect.....meanwhile my son is tap dancing while watching Happy Feet LOL his so cute! when his entertained that is!
Caithi does she seem like she has wind or pains?
Have you raised her cot at one end incase she doesnt like laying flat?
No, ive been really lucky... she is just the fart queen - you can see her pushing it out, they are like "man farts" , then she smiles to herslef lol:laughing:
I am doing the raised cot as soon as she wakes again ( which should be the second my head hits the pillow:banghead: )
Caithi......I forget have you got a sling/baby bjorn/HAB or some such thing?
Will try it now.. spoke too soon - I can hear her again - why wont this child sleep??
QUESTION - With this growth spurt thing - is it only the night time thats affected or could this just be something different?:detective:
cant friggin lift the stuid f#$king f^ked up cot - bloody boori - why so big?????:banghead:
Kill me now - then I could sleep lol:sleeping:
Hi Girls,
6 week stats:length 54.5cm
weight 4.45kg
head a whopping 38cm (thank god that wasn't at birth).
Looks like Im going to have another petite babe.
Apparently there shouldn't be any issue with the small fontanell (whew).
Well Leah is being a dream at the moment  . Shouldn't talk too soon as I know it wont last but shes only waking once a night for me now since doing the sleep thing with her on friday and shes going straight off during the day for decent sleeps.
Carrie, Re the pooing - the paed actually said that between 6-8 weeks they should start getting lumpier and breastfed babies start pooing once every few days rather than the constant liquid poop.
Gin, so glad to hear you had a lovely morning with your boy yesterday.
Re the dummy, Ive resigned myself to its use. I have cut right back though and only give it at bedtime so now shes spitting it out and continuing sleeping rather than freaking because shes used to something in her mouth and wakes to find its not there. Glad Kes likes it.
Scoob, that is great news re Chelseas hip. Congratulations.
No periods here yet but I dont think its far away. Im sure Ive got fertile signs again. DH aint coming near me till I sort out contraception :o .
Re another baby, yes we'll be going down that road probably once more only. Not sure when yet though. Still tossing up between a lesser or greater age gap.
Caithi Hope Anais settles soon hon. Im with Sarah, pop her in something against your chest. She cant cry forever and you wont feel so bad letting her cry if shes being cuddled to you. Just remind yourself when it seems all too tough that this is a phase and it will pass.
Re the farting, that could indicate that she does have wind. Is she pulling her legs to her chest? Going rigid? Arching her back? How are you feeding her?
Ok, have a good day girls. I need to get on and get some housework done.
Re the farting, that could indicate that she does have wind. Is she pulling her legs to her chest? Going rigid? Arching her back? How are you feeding her?
When she stretches she puts her arms up and her kness to her chest and lifts her tummy and farts BUT she also farts when she sneezes, or when I change her nappy (she sort of lifts her bum a little) or somethimes she just farts with no effort - she does fart a lot and they are really loud and forceful - they sound like "man farts" if you know what I mean.
She is solely boobie juice at the moment, feeding on demand, she is a bit of a hungry hippo so she does suck it back... eg I expressed some milk a couple of days ago (3 150 mills bottles ) as I had to go to a meeting and she threw back the first two in record time and slowly drank half the third one an hour later.... just seems like a lot of milk to me?:detective:
Is there something to try for wind?
What is and where do I get brauers stomach calm?
Can i just ask what the other mums with toddlers do when they are in daycare? Do youclean the house or just have me time?
Also who else still has a skippy pouch? (That roll of fat that hangs over you pants!) i have lost nearly all my weight but cant shift the hanging over part.....perhaps less Tim Tams..? NEVER!!!

Hon, it sounds like shes being over fed. I believe at this stage they need between 60ml-120ml. Hunger is often mistaken for overtiredness and if she is a sucky baby that wont take a dummy....... . What sort of dummy do you have? Is it the closest resemblance you could find to your nipple shape and size? Is she spitting up a lot?
the bruers you can get at a chemist or health food shop. Its all natural.

Mainly housework and errands. Catch up on phone calls and my 'to do' list. Now and again (very very rarely), sit down and watch a chic flick in peace.
As for weight - Im putting on a kg a week! Thats more than I put on pregnant. Ive got a shocking sweet tooth which isn't like me out of pregnancy and my friend who is a natropath said its an indication that IM lacking carbs.

Caithi - I agree with Anna, she could be overfeeding and that will likely contribute to her unsettledness as her body tries to deal with all the milk. Perhaps try putting her on a bit of a routine rather than just feeding on demand - 3 to 3.5hrs between feeds during the day (is start of one feed to start of next feed) is fairly normal for this age and then if she is unsettled between times you can be fairly certain she is not hungry.
I hope things settle down for you soon. We are having a better day so far with Matthew so :fingerscrossed: it stays that way. He is still waking regularly but I am trying Anna's suggestions for resettling using the baby whispering technique ie not letting him cry and just comforting him until he is calm then letting him put himself back to sleep (Is that right Anna?). Seems to be working so far.
Jaimie - Ryan is in daycare two days a week and it is just divine! Some days I get heaps done and on others I do completely stuff all and just have me & Matthew time.
Caithi - Donnalix is another thing for wind although it is not all natural but chemicals. I had been using it and it did make a big difference but I have now stopped to see if it is contributing to the poo issue. I might also try the Brauer stomach calm stuff - we got the Brauer sleep and insomnia relief for Ryan when we were doing lots of Brisbane to Sydney drives when he was a little bubba.
LT - how are you going in your new place??? Hope everything is okay as we haven't heard from you recently. I hope you are just busy busy busy....
Matt has just squarked - just in time for his feed :yelclap: Clever boy!

OMG! Ok, will stop the so frequent feeds.
She pretty much NEVER spits up/spews etc etc.
I have one of those orthadontic avanti ones? Which is the best one to use?
Im sending dh as soon as he gets home to het bruers :fingerscrossed: it works.

:hugs: Will try!
She is up - cheeky thing keeps smiling at me.
HOWEVER she hates to be on her back! Thats just something she has always hated but can rarely put her on her back ( apart from nappy change and play time on mat) - she cries if I do. Could this be another "wind" sign?:detective:

Caithi, she may hate being on her back if her tummy is too full. You may find that changes.
Re the feeding and routine, yeah if you are feeding regularly, she'll only be snacking so getting hungrier quicker which will also affect quality of sleep. Id start stretching it out over a couple of feeds because if you are feeding her say every hour or two at the moment she'll be only snacking so if you suddenly go for a 3 - 3.5 hour gap she will be hungry. Perhaps try 2.5 hrs then 3 hrs initally so she doesn't get hungry and eats properly. Also, it may take a couple of days for your boobs to produce enough for her for a proper meal rather than a snack so she may be a bit restless for a couple of days while that sorts itself out.
I just looked it up, at this age they should be having 120-240mls per 4 hrs depending on the baby's size and age.
Re the dummies, there are some Leah doesn't like. She likes the avent ones (but not the ones with the flattened surface). Might pay to go to the supermarket and pick up a couple of different shapes and see if any suite her.
Good luck! HOpe it sorts itself for you in the next couple of days.

Apparently there shouldn't be any issue with the small fontanell (whew).
Annsam did you think there was an issue with it if you dont mind me asking?
Caithi: There are all different types of the bruers (sp?) that you can get so have a look at which might suit her symptoms. Also with the dummies, my kids both didnt like any others except the cheapest "happy" dummies from woolies!! I have heaps of all the best brands and some dear ones too but nope, only the cheap cherry shape ones!! They both hate silicon ones too. I think you will see a big difference in her when you stretch out her feeds. Sometimes you can mis read their wind signs for hunger too! Perhaps also look at what you are eating. I know Jacey doesnt handle spag bol very well and I dont know why - prehaps the acidity in the tomatos!! anyway just an idea.
Jacey has been feeding very different at the moment - just fussing on the boob and not really having a good drink. Not sure what is going on but its like she's just not really hungry, so I just gave up and put her to bed. She's been asleep for nearly three hours which is nice.
Ok must run, heading to town shortly to see a home loan broker.

as sarah says you do just cope. you really have no choice.. some days i'd like to just put myself in the naughty corner for a break.. but not gonna happen lol

i just suck in my tummy lol.. its the hips & thighs im having trouble slimming down.. my butt's pretty big too but i cant see it so not fazed  not the best attitude to have hey lol..
as for kids in daycare.. its only 2hours for M but if i just had bub at home all day i'd clean in the morning then sleep when she slept!
Annsam did you think there was an issue with it if you dont mind me asking?

Leahs been fussing on teh boob a bit too. Like frustration but theres no need for there to be. bit odd. Just playing I think.
Good luck for your loan.

to be honest orlando was a name i liked but would never use.. till i saw your little man. hes so cute.
my preg friend dropped over today.. she has a little girl, madison, who is same age as M and shes 11weeks with #2. shes had to listen to me talking names so its so much fun helping her out now.. i think they've decided Chelsea for a girl(she was like you dont mind do you.. stealing the name! lol. i said dont be silly i didnt use it!.. crazy girl..) haha and either brayden or Jesse for a boy. i love all those names.. i had a m/c prior to M and named the bub Jesse but she doesnt know so i aint saying nothing.. i'd hate to put her off it. plus it was very early on. its a beautiful name. oh and her granddad passed away friday.. :( so if its a boy his middle name will be maxwell. she has no idea for middle names for chelsea if its a girl...

Hopefully nothing now but she has a small fontanel so the midwife said that if it fuses early which many do if they are small then it would need to be broken in a year or two as part of her skull wouldn't grow. Looks like thats unlikely though.

HOWEVER she hates to be on her back! Thats just something she has always hated but can rarely put her on her back ( apart from nappy change and play time on mat) - she cries if I do. Could this be another "wind" sign?:detective:
Do you have one of those side sleepers we were talking about the other week?? Also if you want to raise her up a bit there is a wedge you can use to prop them up on their back... Hope she starts sleeping for you babe!
Just a quick one handed post..
'
Amity loved the kindy dance time. She followed the instructions much better than i thought she would. She is the most outgoing in the group though lol!!
Griff is sitting on my lap and unleashing his bowels,, Actually really gross lol!
Well i had better go change him and i will post properly tonight!~

but i prefer to do housework when dh is around lol so he knows im doing it and plus it makes him help out more, if he sees me busting a move with the cleaning!
i so totally agree nemosmum - i always keep a few chores up my sleeve (not that theres a shortage), for the evenings, or else DH thinks the cleaning fairy does all the work!

OH NOOOOO!!!!!
I just booked a flight to Adelaide to take Monty to see DP's mummy... the nice Grandma and realised that I'll miss the meet next week!!!! NOOOOOOOO
Monty slept a massive 7 and a half hours last night! YEAH! His record so far.
I haven;t read any posts sorry, mega busy finishing off the moving stuff and heaps of work to get done before I leave on Friday.
Quick question... will it be ok if Monty sleeps in a single bed right at the bottom with the sheets tucked in tight and it's next to a wall?
He doesnt roll at all when he's asleep.
Sarah, with your Phil and teds pram, when you collapse it, how to you make it stay collapsed? Is there a clip or anything tio sdecure it?
Took Monty to have his 6 week (8 weeks) check up and he's fine except he may be a little wheezy.
Also the doc wouldnt give his injection as DP has a bad cold and wanted to make sure he didnt get sick as well.
Had to buy him some more clothes today, he is now wearing 00's. FATTY!
Hope you are all well and babies.
OMG I weighted Cooper tonight and he weighs 7.02kg  . Last night I cleaned out his wardrobe and had a few bags of 0000's & 000's that didn't fit him anymore...It was rather sad.
LT hope everything is going well with the move. Hope Monty is good on the flight.

Caithi - Have a look at this link (http://cgi.ebay.com.au/Jolly-Jumper-Cot-Wedge-for-babies-with-reflux-or-colic_W0QQitemZ300106297823QQihZ020QQcategoryZ7883 0QQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem) it is one of those wedges i was telling you about.. The ones to elevate bubs when sleeping.
Emma - WOW!! Cooper is getting soo big! I wonder how much Griff weighs. It must be clsoe to Cooper because he is in the Crawler nappies now!
LT - Is Monty long?? Do his feet go to the end of the 00's?? I find that someone of them are massive!
Griff was soo unsettled tonight. I think that he may have a tummy bug of some kind. In the past 24 hours he has done so many runny poos, no lumps at all. And tonight he pood and it leaked everywhere! He also kept crying until i picked him up. Poor little soul, he is asleep now though.
Im going to get my hair done tomorrow. I havent had it done in like 3 1/2 months! Oh, and my eyebrows waxed... finally something for me.
OMG! Emma and Lana - Cooper & Griffin sound like very healthy bubba's.
I had Chelsea weighed 6 days ago and she was a tiny 4.90kg. I guess it makes a big difference that she is a girl LOL
I'm glad your boys are doing so well in the Milk Stakes!
Sorry to hear that Griff might be a little unwell. I am wondering if Chels might be too. She was SOOO unsettled yesterday afternoon and last night, not like her at all. I think she still has a low grade fever from her immunisations last Thursday, but yesterday she had a couple of cute little coughs. Nothing really to worry about but she was just acting weird when it came time to settle and sleep, that I thought "Hmmm, maybe you are a little off colour". I have panadol drops incase she needs them
Caithi - OMG!! Your patience with Anais is endless. You are such a wonderful Mum! Good on ya babe. Everytime I read your posts, it wears me out just thinking about the care and time you are giving her! You are truely wonderful! Let's just hope she is getting all her "difficult stages" out now instead of later, when she is older!!! :fingerscrossed:
Caithi, it sounds like wind to me too Sweet. Chels had major wind pain for the first 3-4 weeks of her life and A LOT of what you have explained.. sounds just like how Chels was. We ended up gettign "Infants Friend" from the Chemist. $6.65 (not sure on EXACT cost, but near $6.65) for a 100ml bottle. WE give Chels between 10 and 20 drops now that she is between 1 and 3 monthsof age - that is equal to 1ml. For a baby under 1 month it is between 5 and 10 drops (1/2ml). Lasts a long time. See how you go with the Brauers stomach calm though as that is "good$hit" lol
I worked out that Infacol Wind drops DON'T work for Chels, but that may also be another option for Nai!
G'Night Girls
xxx Kym xxx
Busy day later today. Chelsea and I are going to see her Grandma (My Mum) for lunch (over an hours drive away) and her Grandpa (My Dad)... who also lives down the same way.
Oooooooh anoter night of no sleep ........ 72 hours - say 8 hrs of broken sleep - lol when do I start seeing things?
Do you have one of those side sleepers we were talking about the other week?? Also if you want to raise her up a bit there is a wedge you can use to prop them up on their back... Hope she starts sleeping for you babe!
Actually tried this, this morning - put a flat pillow on the matress next to me then the roll thingys ( OMG SHE IS ROLLING TO HER RIGHT SIDE AND ROLLING BACK ONTO HER BACK LOL ) so she was at an angle and she is still asleep!!:smiliedance: I think we have a winner!! She is still asleep!
That looks fantastic - am getting one! THANKS for the link.
OMG! Let's just hope she is getting all her "difficult stages" out now instead of later, when she is older!!!
We ended up gettign "Infants Friend" from the Chemist.
YES! I hope she doesnt do the getting home at 3am in the morning thing to me - hopefully this is the 3am stint now he he
Will def get this too and try it out after the other one - once I find the right things for her Im sure that it will all sort itself out.
:fingerscrossed:
just a quickie coz gotta get ready for M's school at 9 & needles for D & A.. also at 9.. hmm tricky hehe.
well thats if M even goes.. she's got her 1st cold.. im so serious.. runny nose and sneezing & coughing.. she's had the flu and what not before but never a cold like this.. damn daycare.. i just hope she's well enough to go.. she still wants to but i dunno..
ANYWAY YAY for ANAIS!! about time you slept a little for mummy.. well no you should be sleeping a lot hehe but im sure mummy will settle for a little!
have a great flight lt & monty:D
all these bubs in 00.. umm Danielah is still in 00 & 0.
I want more children. Dh and I want to be preg by the end of the year. Don't know if it will happen as it took 8yrs to get Cooper, so
That must have been very tough for you, I know I felt like it took forever to get Kes and it was only a year and a half! I'm tempted to try again straight away in case it takes a while... but DH is having that feeling which I've heard a lot of parents get; that they feel they wont have enough love to spare a new baby, and would have to neglect their precious first born. Tricky, as I know how he feels!
BlueGin - My Dad is a VERY proud Grandpa... ...and he wants to set up the other spare room as Chelsea's room
That sounds awesome! Very cool to have grandparents close by, they get so much out of their grandkids.
I think it's amazing how well you are doing with Fibromyalgia to deal with as well! Has it made it harder to cope with the surgery recovery do you think?
Anna- great to hear that Leah's fontanelle is not going to be a prob, and that she's another big head like my boy! LOL, they really are alike
It sounds like she is responding very well to the settling techniques, good job!
Kes still very much in love with his dummy... I bought 3 to try, ranging from $0.95 to $10... obviously he loves the $0.95 one! hehe
Haylie- thanks for the pics! Gorgeous little pair! Kes has that "snappy crocodile" outfit too, I love it!
'
Amity loved the kindy dance time. She followed the instructions much better than i thought she would. She is the most outgoing in the group though lol!!
Great news! Do you think Sam will be dragged in to the dancing some time? THat would be classic :devil6:
Sorry to hear Griffin isn't so well, hopefully it was just a 24hour thing and he's better by now.
LT-good to be in the new place I'll bet, no idea about the single bed sorry, I have no idea on safety stuff. Sounds like a fun trip you have ahead of you, Toadlet is a lucky wee man!
Shezi- what horrible luck for M to get a cold from her first day of daycare! Have you decided to let her go, or is a day of rest required?
Before Kes was born I was given heaps of bits and pieces like blankets and singlets, and some outfits... one was this bright pink TweetyBird jumpsuit which looked massive at the time. I tried it on him this morning, fits perfectly! He looks so cute in it, good enough to eat :chef:

Bluegin, wondered wherre you had got to!
Did you win the knit off?
I have to make something for the MCN swap, should be fun.
Caithi, good luck with the sleeping wedge.
Annsam. those photos were fantastic. loved them all.
You just reminded me to send in Monty's forms for his certificate, I missed one field and had to resend.
Sarah:
Share your Pure Baby Moments............
So far Monty hasn't been a big smiley baby, he is very happy and content and placid and Daddy always gets smiles from him but I've only had a couple.
Last night when I was feeding him he gave me the biggest smile ever and then his first laugh!! I got it before Daddy did. YIPPEE Then today he smiled lots for me.
False alam - she woke at 9am ish and just cied until 1pm ish:confused:
She fell asleep on my tummy and now I have a migrane and managed to spew on our new white carpets so now I have to go clean spew....:crying:
Any volunteers:fingerscrossed:
Aw Caithi, sorry to hear you are feeling so bad today. :hugs: I have been battling the starts of a migrane too. If its any consolation, I didn't get much sleep last night either.
LT, thats a real bummer you wont make it. I was so looking forward to meeting you. Perhaps we could make it another date instead? What do you girls think?
Re the sleeping, yeah if hes not rolling he'll be fine. Is he managing to wriggle his way up or down a bed? It would be the wriggling down the bed Id be more concerned about. Personally, I wouldn't worry about the blanket tucked in, Id wrap the blanket around him tight and just put him in the middle of the bed so he doesn't slip under and down the bottom iykwim. Probably haven't explained that very well.
Emma, I know what you mean about it being sad putting the baby clothes away. I was like that when Sam moved up a size nappy out of newborns.
Shezi, gotta love daycare for bugs. You'll probably find this winter really bad but it will get better next year.
Gin, I know what you mean about worrying about having enough love for two but you do! Believe me.
Glad Kes is still liking his dummy. Leahs been very attached to hers the past couple of days. We seemed to get it sorted where she had it for sleep and stayed asleep when it fell out but for some reason shes regressed. Think Ive been taking her out and disturbing her sleep too much........:detective:
Sarah, we are getting the forna one. We got that for Sam too.
Re the congestion, is it rhinoitis or what ever its called like Leah gets? Apparently its really common and strikes most at night. Saline up the nose a couple times of day clears it out a bit.
Ok, massive headache. Going to settle leah who is very unsettled today.
More than happy to Sarah, I still have the ones you sent me, did you want one of them put up?
Hey LT, yep I won! :smiliedance:
I have just done the online part of my claim, will post off birth cert. forms tonight, thanks for the tip Sarah!
Caithi, I'm all the way away in Melbourne so I can safely say: "I'd clean it for you if I could, honest!" :p
Seriously though, I'm sorry to hear how rough it has been for you, is your MCHN being helpful to you with tips? How did the Brauer's go?
I love these gooey moments you're sharing, they're great to focus on when the little 'darlings' are screaming in your ear... ;)
*EDIT: Anna- hopefully she's just having a rough day and not regressing (that's what I'm telling myself when Kes wont sleep, LOL)

Caithi - Hopefully that wedge will work for you! HOPE ur mrigraine goes away. do you have anything you can take for it??
Sarah - We got Griff the 'Hands' one... its one of the Commemorative ones (so you get a normal one aswell). Are they all the same in all the states?? Iris sounds soo sweet! I still cant believe how well she sleeps for you!
LT - I agree with Anna, I would be inclined to wrap him up or put him in a sleeping bag in the middle of the bed. either that or do you have one of those Tetra snuggle beds?? That would be perfect.
Gin - Thats great about the Knit off!! :smiliedance: Hey do you have any knitting patterns for those little knitted teddies you can make??
Anna - I hope Leah is being a good girl today!
Amity is at day care today... I had to wake her up at 7.45am to get her ready lol.

Well Little possum is finally asleep - had a rough day. She has been a bit unsettled and we had mothers group here this morning and she didnt sleep and then we went to town. Anyway she's finally asleep now so hoping she has her big 3 hour sleep now. She aslo has been waking around 2am now but going to bed earlier at 7-7.30pm. I dont mind the 2am instead of 4am cause I get a more solid sleep before DS wakes up at 7am. She has been waking at 7-7.30am too.
I got Qld birth certificates with Australian theme plus the original. They must be different for the states do you think?
Sorry for the sick kids - hope they get better.
Caithi does she cry on the boob?? Could it be silent reflux? Has she been like this since birth? Have you seen your GP lately? You are doing so well though to keep it together. Hope your migrane goes.
OK better go and have a snooze myself.

Hey ladies
Had paed appointment yesterday. At 6 1/2 weeks Ella's stats are:
Weight - 4.73kg
Length - 56cm
HC - 37.3cm
No wonder her Huggies newborn nappies are too small!
Confirmed my suspiscions Ella does have reflux and proceeded to explain how uncomfortable & what she would be feeling with it until I told him I am an adult reflux sufferer also with hiatus hernia (I am missing the muscle between oesophagus & stomach which holds food in so I can vomit if I am turned upside-down basically as well) even though I didn't suffer as a baby.
Anyway, Ella is going to start on Mylanta (2 drops) before her bottles and next tin of formula will be S26 AR and see how this helps. She has gotten quite bad in the last week.
Ella was smiling & 'laughing' at the paed when he was talking about her to start with lol.
Back to a good night's sleep last night (most of it). Ella wouldn't go to sleep in her cot when we got home & I felt sick & DH was busy so I put her in bed with me. DH stayed up to watch his shows & transferred her at 10.30 ish & even got up to her at 11.30! He gave her a bottle & she slept til 3.30am where I just went in a couple of times, put dummy in, gave her a pat and she dozed off. I had to go in 3 times before she slept until 4.30am. I gave her a bottle & she then slept til 8.30am cuddled up with me in my bed (as she does when DH has gone to work!).
Ella has pretty much slept all day except for waking up for feeds & staying awake for only a small amount of time in between. I have managed some cleaning (omg I haven't done floors! what a record!), filled in a HCC application form (hope i get one!) and booked E's 8 week immunisations for next Friday the 11th before her clinic appointment.
Lucky the receptionist at the dr's I spoke to is my SIL/BF's mum so didn't feel quite as dumb asking how much the immunisations cost lol.
Only skimmed about 4 pages of posts out of 8 since I was last on here on Sunday. These are my replies so far:
Anna - It wasn't me asking about poo. We have confirmed it is reflux. Hopefully new S26 AR formula & mylanta help hey. Leah sounds like she is doing wonderfully now! Fingers crossed it lasts!!!
M2B & First Time - We used pretty much the rest of our savings to pay a bl00dy $600 paed bill yesterday & Medicare DID refund us as Ella wasn't an in-patient. We got just over $300 back and we are now on the Safety Net!!! Yay! Will get 8 months to use it this time, usuall I get it towards end of yr!
Caithi - I wouldn't worry about how much Anais is wanting to eat - I was worried about E as she seemed to want more food & was sticking her dummy in until at least 1 1/2 or 2 hours was up to give her a smaller 120ml bottle (but doesn't usually drink that).
Ella is on 180ml bottles and sometimes appears to want more & makes her 'hungry' cry. I try dummy first & see what happens. She gets a small one later as I said before if she won't settle.
The paed said give her as much as she wants when she wants it as I was thinking of trying her on the next dosage - 240ml (for 4 months!). It is no issue re gaining weight at this age & it will burn off when she is crawling & getting around anyway.
Lana - Nice Tat!
Jaimie - Can't wait to see your tat! I have gone a few times since I was 17 to get one but always chickened out lol. I want to get a frangipani (with the white ink if I don't react to the white ink) with pink & yellow in it, black outline and I will put my kids' names around it (if I ever get the guts up to get it done!)
Scoob - Great news re Chelsea's hips! That was a scary photo you posted a while ago from birth!
Gin - I love your posts, you are such a beautiful girl & I hope I get to meet you if I ever get my trip to Melbourne!
It's good Kes likes his dummy! You might get some rest! It was the best thing I ever did - I wasn't gonna give E one either but I gave in at 1 week. She loves it but she only likes the Tommee Tippee ones with the larger round teats & doesn't like her Baby Heinz one with the flat teat. Fussy bubby!
Think E is about to wake up so I'd better go. I'll keep reading other pages til she wakes up. After her next bottle I am gonna go for a walk (I am starting today as I have a "skippy pouch" too Jaimie! I couldn't get hipster jeans as sit under it or on it and doesn't do up on it lol).

Anna...Im pretty sure its not rhinitis as its real boogers (GROSS TMI) and not just clear runny stuff, O was always clear and runny and had it all the time.
Iris has had this twice and it is usually when i get mucusy with my hayfever so maybe related um i dont know
BUT i do use the drops (saline) which seem to help heaps, she had a whopping 5hr marathon day nap today!!!
We are off to hospy tomorrow to finally get this growth off her belly button! Thank god for that and then were going to drop in and see my work, looking forward to that i miss the girls and my kids!

i know.. so annoying.. but expected. she ended up going coz she felt better.. she's still a bit 'stuffy' but a lot better. nothing keeps a 3yr still lol.
needles went fine. hi ladies  just read about 8 pages! my hubby and brother both been home the last week and hog the laptop, also just so tired this week! i think H was much better behaved when Al was away. not sure if i can remember the replies i was going to make?
carriers - we have a baby bjorn, its really good. i tried my friend's sling but it was so bulky. she didnt like it either, bought a baby bjorn. Harper loves the boob pillows when he's in it lol.
tatts - those handprint tattoos were beautiful. DH and I are getting matching harp tattoos (http://s116.photobucket.com/albums/o37/library-laksa/TATTS/) for Harper next week. he hasnt had one before and nearly spewed when he came with me before so don't know how he will go! BUT - anyone know about breastfeeding and tattoos? i was just reading a website that says it is best to wait a year for the body to recover from birth. i'm not sure now if i should wait?
monitors - i think ours picked up next doors the other night, they have kids. i could hear the dad singing!
my mum bought me the baby whisperer book, i think its quite good too.
Harper has been feeding heaps more and sleeping hardly at all during the day. i think that might be to do with Al being home, like he wanted to be in on the action coz when we brought the bassinette into the lounge with us talking and the tv, he had a sleep. but now DH and bro have left and its just me here watching the news and using the computer, he is having a big sleep in his room again!! he must be having a growth spurt too as he is pigging out every couple of hours. and i am just SO OVER the 3am feed. i want one of these long sleeping babies, he still wakes every 3ish hours at night.
oh! an awful thing happened the other night, he wriggled when i cut his nail and i nipped his fingertip with the nail clippers!! it bled, i felt so bad and cried. felt like the worst mum:(
a friend said shes done it too so i felt a tiny bit better but it was so sad! poor little man's first injury :crying: and this week i have to take him for his needles by myself.
ok might go sort out some dinner. i got DH to cook for me and freeze it. so slack...

LL - Aww hun dont feel bad! I have clipped Amity before too! Lol how typical of Harper to want to be in on the action with his daddy and uncle! Very cute!! At least he is having a sleep for you and giving u some YOU time.
Love the Harp tattoo! That is gonna look awesome! I want to get another one.. not sure what picture but i want to put the kids name near it too.
Shez - Poor M! I remember Amitys first winter in day care... She got a few colds.. she is fine this year though.
Gin - I spoke to soon re Griff's poos. He is letting rip again tonight. It almost looks like it is frothy!? Maybe it is just a mixture of poo and air (farts) lol. If i do find a pattern i will definitely give you a copy, although it doesnt look like u need one, that monkey is adorable!
Yep, Amity is still absolutely loving her day care! Every time i drop her off as soon as we walk in she is like "Bye mum! Seeya!"... She is always happy to see me at then end of the day though and ready to come home. Makes me feel very special.
Had my hair and eyebrows done today. I feel like a new woman lol! Now that my hair is all nice again really want to go out but cant of course. Oh well.
Caithi - I hope that Anais is a bit more settled for you tonight. I am always thinking of you and wondering if Anais is sleeping. If you need a break feel free to express post her to me for the night ok!? (jokes, sorry, probably not very funny to you! :o )

Must be something in the Brissy water Carrie...Cooper has been asleep allday too...
Hopefully on the northside lol
Emma - our water must be different down on the southside... Matthew has only slept for short naps today. Mind you could be my fault - dragged him off to the creche at the gym this morning, then off to three different stops shopping this afternoon. I think he got pretty fed up with getting in and out of the car. Starting to wish we had a baby capsule instead of the reverse car seat.
He is asleep now though :angel:.
Re a Brissie meet - Count me in YES!!!!
I'm out the south-west in the centenary suburbs but can do a northside meet. Afternoons are better for me (I am trying to go to the gym most mornings) but I can also do mornings. Generally any day except Wednesday (Ryan has swimming) should be okay.
Caithi, I'm all the way away in Melbourne so I can safely say: "I'd clean it for you if I could, honest!"
Seriously though, I'm sorry to hear how rough it has been for you, is your MCHN being helpful to you with tips? How did the Brauer's go?
 Sure sure he he - had to doo it myself but....
PURE MOMENT - After cleaning it all up - thinking there is no way I am trying again in Jan 08 for another one - I coudnt handle it blah blah blah - I looked at her to see if she was ok ( she was losing it a bit on the lounge ) and she just looked at me and smiled - one of those big smiles - followed by a "Im try to laugh open mouth " look. Ahhh bless. I now want 10 not 4 lol
Mak LOST the bottle off Brauer's - HOW CAN YOU LOSE A BOTTLE??? Urghhhhhhh :banghead:
So I went down to the late night chemist and got "gripe water" - its all they had - has anyone used this before??
HOPE ur mrigraine goes away. do you have anything you can take for it??
ETA: Gin - just saw the pic of Kes! How adorable!! (hey did u knit that little monkey??)
Nope - the drugs I have arent good for bubs or breast milk urghhhhhhhh and Im allergic to everything else - will just have to wait this one out lol - but her cries feel like daggers into my brain at the moment lol - urghhhhhhh I guess I have to just laugh about it
GIN - THAT PHOTO IS JUST BEAUTIFUL!!! Ive said it before but ill say it again - we have the sexiest mommas in bub hub and the most beautiful bubs !! Why dont we all have modelling contracts!!
That would be great if it's not putting everyone else out.
If it is I can meet up with you all another time.
I can make any other day!
We have to - I want to meet toady and our future Daumier Danseur . he he
Well Little possum is finally asleep - had a rough day.
Caithi does she cry on the boob?? Could it be silent reflux? Has she been like this since birth?
:hugs: babe!
No, she doesnt cry on the boob - its the only thing that really settles her - my nipples are on fire at the moment though.
And thats the thing - she has been a better than perfect text book perfet baby - and during the day ( usually ) she just sleeps eats and sleeps but the last three days she has been up 12 hours plus urghhhh. Dont get me wrong, I love spending time with her - prefer her being awake - its a little lonely here when she is asleep but why 12 hours inclusive of am hours?? lol
We are off to hospy tomorrow to finally get this growth off her belly button!
Hugs to both of you - hope it all goes really smoothly lovely!
Caithi I hope you feel better luv!
Congrats Gin on winning the knit-off!
Thanks babe - Migrane still here but hey I spewed so thats over with! Yay! That usually comes later on lol
Oooooh CONGRATULATIONS GIN!!
carriers - we have a baby bjorn, its really good.
oh! an awful thing happened the other night, he wriggled when i cut his nail and i nipped his fingertip with the nail clippers!!
I think Im wearing mine wrong - my back always hurst after an hour or less 9 and I have a strong back - boxing ) - any suggetsions??
Mark has a tradition where you have to put a coin in the bubs hand when you first cut the nails - means wealth or some cr$p - sorry dirty wth in laws lol - and his aunty told him to bite the nails instead of using clippers - and he bit too close to the nail and made her nail bed bleed so she has this half hanging off nail! BUT its all better now and she wouldnt know any different so big hugs babe!
oooooooops forgot to say......
She finally got to sleep at 7:00pm this evening. OMG! This surely cant last..... right????? :fingerscrossed:
Marks ENTIRE FAMILY decided to do a pop in and you guessed it - I was in my pJs again- house was ok but floors not done and yes they noticed.... can someone please tell me the polite way to say get the f#%k out of my house or f#^k off you intrusive rude people?
They went straight to her and went to pick her up so I said....
"Im the baby nazi and I need to feed her. Sorry, Ill be a while. Maybe next time. She is a little unsettled at the moment" in a nice way....
I was in there 2.5 hours... I came out they were still there..
then she started crying so they just went into my bedroom and MIL and Maks Grandma started making the bed!!!! WTF???????????
THEY THEN SAID IT WASNT GOOD FOR HER TO BE IN SUCH A MESSY ROOM!!!
Yes, our room is messy but its not dirty just messy due to me not making the bed picking up pillows etc etc
:banghead:

HOW DO YOU HAVE THE ENERGY TO GET OUT?? OMG! Ten points to you babe - I have literally been in the same clothes (pjs urghhhhhhh ) for two stinky days - poor Mark!
You are just the sweetest thing! Will send her overnight express he he!
Thanks for your thoughts - its funny, when I am stressed out or upset etc etc I come straight on here and all seems well.
dragged him off to the creche at the gym this morning, then off to three different stops shopping this afternoon.
AGAIN.... HOW DO YOU HAVE THE ENERGY TO GET OUT?? I am soooooooooooooooo jealous. I would kill to go for a run!
WOW just caught up on 15 pages of posts !!!! Sorry for being AWOL for the last week or so but have just been flat out. Sorry I have such baby brain. We have all had the flu for the last week including poor Chloe so have been trying to keep up the tissue's to the green snot brigade!! Looks like we are all getting over it Yahh!!
Cathi - sorry to hear about your lack of sleep, migraines and inlaws!! You are not having a great time of it. It was lovely to read your lovely moment with Anais though. Sarah great idea!
Anna - love the photos they are gorgeous
That would be great if it's not putting everyone else out.

Happy to meet when you get back, when is that I think I missed your post.
Chloe has turned 6 weeks this week and weighs in at 4.2kg so still little.
With the pram wraps I have just invested in a minimink one for Chloe in the chocolate fur. http://www.minimink.com.au/NewProducts.aspx?s=-5
I love it
Just realised the time, have to wake Chloe up for her feed as she is now an hour overdue! Such a bad mother, pottering on the internet rather than feeding the baby!
Will get on again soon I promise. Take care all!

OK just a me brag....
jacey slept from 7pm to 5.55am this morning and has been asleep again since 6.30am and its 10am now and still going :yelclap: . Think she is catching up from her crappy day yesterday when she wouldnt sleep cause we were out of the house heaps. My boobs are very full. I woke at 5.30am and they were very painful so just layed there waiting!! I think she has been ggoing through a growth spurt the past few days though.
Caithi I have used gripe water once when jacey had BAD pains. It seemed to help. And bloody hell, cant believe your inlaws!! I'm with you on the bed making thing. DH works shift so he has sleeps in the day time so half of the week its pointless making it. I do make it a couple of times a week at the most just so I can clean the room up a little. I remember the first months with my first bub and my room sounded just like yours!!! Dont worry about them. I just cant believe they make comments - thats terrible.
Anyway cant remember anything else and need to keep cleaning while DH is home today.
OK.....
1. Invest in cheap dummies - I went out and bought a $2 dummy and she loooooooooooves it - shes sucking on it right now!!! She HATES the expensive ones:banghead: - go figure lol
2. She slept from 6:20 pm last night until 9:00 am this morning with feeds every three hours BUT SHE WENT STRAIGHT BACK TO SLEEP! Im a new woman...
Only thing is I expressd three bottles because I thought - if Im going to be up all night Im going to have a couple of drinks - I know weird way to think but hey..
So I was sitting up until 2:00am waitig for her to be awake all night!!!! lol Murpheys law I gues he he But I think giving her the bottles disturbed her less than the boob and was a lot quicker, so Im expressing for night feed from now on!!!! :smiliedance: :yelclap:

Keep her on the same boob for longer!:D

Aaah!! Thanks Caithi! Funny thing is though, he generally only has the one side per feed! He will have half, burp then have the rest on the same side... Not sure what my body is doing then lol.
(deleted by forum moderator)
Taryn - Wow! what a great sleep Jacey had! Wouldnt it be nice if she kept that up!!
Caithi - Thats great about Anais' sleep! Sounds like the cheaper dummies are the go. I might go try one for Griff... I love your thinking re the drinkies lol
Griffin has a sh!t night last night... He didnt go to bed until 1am!! He just kept doing his frothy poos. Thing is though, he wouldnt poo unless he was sucking and he wont use a dummy so he wanted to suck on the boob. THANKFULLY he slept from 1am to 8am. I am still buggered though.
The Pregnancy and Babies Expo is on soon!!
Maybe this can be the catch up day?

Rushing out the door...
When you take a baby on the plane, do you have to provide birth certificate or anything?
With Virgin are there basinets at the front?
Caithi, I'd be happy with the expo meet up, anytime/anywhere will be ok for me.
Sending off your nappy today.
I've included a cotton prefold for you to keep, but also have a bamboo one for the day of the christening cause they are super absorbant.
If I could get that off you when you've finished that would be great as they are quite exy.
Rushing out the door...

LT..you just have to show your medicare card (that has Monty's name on it of course. If you haven't got one yet, ring Virgin to find out what you need)...and they give you an extension to strap onto your seatbeat and bub sits on your lap.
Hi
Just caught up on 5 pages now cant remember a thing. LOL.
LT, I just took birth cert for Sam when we flew when he was a baby. Its first in best dressed for bassinets so check in early if you can and not all planes have them.
Caithi, so glad to hear she likes the dummy! And that she slept well for you :smiliedance: . Would be happy to meet up at teh Expo if it suites everyone else.
Congratulatons to all the mums with sleeping babies. Mine was a bit of a trial last night. Woke me 3 times then wouldnt' go back to sleep for over an hour each time. Not impressed.
Sams being a trial today too. Just in a trying mood I think.
Nothing new going on.
Its from woolies and it was the "Happy" brand - with a round rubber tip lol
Harper loves the cheapo 'happy' dummies too. good boy...
typing left handed - difficult
Caithi, you must feel so much better with a good sleep. H slept like a champ last night, still had a few feeds but back to sleep in his room. we didnt get up til 850! i was late for the meet with other bubhubbers, was fun.
be back later when i hve two hands!
Hi Emma,
My daughter does the same thing in her cot, I found at babies galroe a cot bumper that is made of mesh and SIDS safe. It's called airwrap is about $59.95. It stops them being able to put their legs through the slats. i think its on the babiesgalore site under bedding.
hope it helps

Hi girls
Lana! Can I get Griffin to speak to Ella? I can't believe he slept from 1am to 8am!!! I would feel like a different person! Lol.
Off shopping on my own with E tomorrow & also hoping to be able to get my eyebrows done - they look like my dh's :). Wonder how I'll go with lifting the pram in & out of our car? It's quite heavy for me but other friends say it is light compared to theirs :s ... Sounds weird but seems easier lifting it in & out of our little 2 door hatch than out of a boot of a sedan - fits easier - & everyone said we would be better off with a sedan!
I really wanna get a station wagon now - Commodore S or SS or whatever ... would love my forby but out of price range! We can't even get a car loan cos of DH's credit rating so still hoping my parents give us a loan off their equity on the house for our car (only max $10k) as they did for my little sister.
Ella has had a good couple of nights - just need her to drop the 3-4am feed. Last couple of nights have been similar, well identical, waking up at 11.30pm where I give her a change & bottle then she sleeps til 3.15am - 3.30am & when I just walk in, put dummy in, walk out, go back if stirring/crying, dummy, mobile, pat & walk out, go back again if need be, dummy, mobile, cuddle, walk out. She then sleeps til nearly 4.30am where I do give her a change & bottle. No matter what she wakes at 6.30am so still taking her into my bed where we sleep til 8.30am.
Last night she had pains again & couldn't drink her bottle around 5.30-6pm & was so worked up I stripped her down to her Bonds singlet suit & she was sleepy so I wrapped her & put her in the pram & she slept until 11.30!!!!!!!! Now if she could swap that 5 1/ hour stint to sleeping from 11.30 onwards ...
RTC's MUM - Glad to see you are back & hope the 'snot brigade' are feeling better! I got the Minimink from my babyshower which I keep in the pram. Ella lies on that as she is obviously too little (I think) to strap in yet. She luvs it & nearly falls asleep as soon as her head hits it! I looked at the site you posted - mine doesn't have the holes in it for the harness. Oh well.
Lana - Where are these websites then? I think maybe some posts I somehow miss, not surprising since my computer is g@y.
BRISBANE GIRLS - Where are you all located? I know Emma you are at Arana Hills, I am at Wellington Point, M2B is at Coomera, M2R&M where are you again? What should we do? Lunch one day? I don't mind where we go (as long as not exy, lol). Emma I think you are the only one on northside but I don't mind going there anyway as am over there all the time seeing my family etc so I know that area well. I am mainly thinking for M2B?
Emma was it you that had funny pain/twinges in your back from epi? Did it go away?
Caithi, Sarah...do u still have the link? I can't find it  Or PM me the link if you arn't allowed to post it hehe
Caithi I'm glad bubs slept well for you last night.
Yes where is this vintage wipes thing? I have the pink cannesters in the kitchen, bread bin, laundrey powder, pegs & soaking bucket all in the vintage set. I love them!
Ella isn't sleeping much today or eating much. I have one 240ml bottle (2 leftovers put together for tonight!), a 120ml and a 100ml! She skulled a small 120ml bottle at morning tea time but has only been having (very) short naps in between before crying again. I just gave her another (half bottle) and she is now asleep in the pram while I push with my foot!
Should go for a walk soon but looking like rain ...
I read the posts but can't remember replies! Does your brain ever get better or just worse??
Have a gr8 day ppls!

I was just gonna say the Tommee Tippee dummies are cheap - I get the 2 pack with the purple & pink and they have the white 'circle' on the front with a clear ring. I need more while E is sh!tty like this as she spits them out constantly.
Sometimes E even refuses, even when she is going to sleep so I am happy about that - that she is not too dependent upon them.

My bub is 10 weeks and still in Newborns, however I bought infant nappies today as they are on sale at Woolies. Only $2.00 off the bulk packet but better than nothing.

Hi Kirsty
Good name - Ella!!! 2 great minds think alike!
I am going to go to Nappy Land on Saturday to get the box of the next size in the huggies (infant?) as they are the only place that sell them in boxes (108).
the Babylove ones seem good though so might just get them if cheaper. Her suits barely button up over them though! Lol

Yep - just this week gone into Infant size. Was really struggling to fit into the newborns while we finished off the last box.
Only reason we didn't get the box the other week at shopping is cos for once it wasn't on special so got 2 x 36 packs for $20 - we still have over half a pack left! She was lying on my lap after a feed today when I felt something warm ...
Where's nappy land? My mum said there is apparently an outlet near strathpine that sells huggies seconds cheap.
i have been using huggies as Ella was prem and huggies had the best fit. I can't find anywhere on the coast that sells the boxes. I hope she grows quickly cause crawler nappies start at 6kg, and are usually on sale for $30.00 box.

Nappy Land is at Slacks Creek - just Google it.
I'm confused - I thought it was newborn (up to 5kg) then infant (up to 8kg) then crawler? Lol

crawler is 6-11kg so the huggies packets say
Man i have just been looking at some great websites.. I am so addicted to baby stuff and decor for rooms etc... i could spend all day just looking at stuff!
if you happen to find anywhere that does big letters to hang on a wall let me know.. i wanna put the girls middle names in the rooms.. i've seen 'dream' written but have looked everywhere for someone who either does separate letters or custom makes them.. so far only found them on ebay but from america..
shez, yup its the rush one, just bewarethough i noticed yesterday that th bottom piping is chipping away from wear which is **** coz ive only been using it for 7wks:rolleyes:
oh no!! i love my bag.. i'll be so annoyed if it starts falling apart..:banghead:
OK just a me brag....
jacey slept from 7pm to 5.55am this morning and has been asleep again since 6.30am and its 10am now and still going :yelclap: .
i'd be bragging too lol! *good girl jacey!!*
kirstyE how early was your bubba Ella? and she has a great birthday.. same as my little one aalivyah :D
carrie im finding it really frustrating coz A is in infant nappies but for some reason huggies dont have boxes of them.. only bulk packs.. weird hey.
danielah has only just come out of crawler nappies lol so im assuming Aalivyah will be in infant for a while!
i can't believe how different Harper is with DH away! he is a little angel. not sure if its that he gets distracted by DH being here or maybe i do, like i am totally focussed on H when we're alone? hmmm...
i just got my order of baby legwarmers, they are TOO CUTE! one pair is black with white bones like leg bones and the other pair are orange/green/yellow stripes. so gorgeous, will post some pics when he wears them.
Ella was only 3 weeks prem but was a small bub at only 5 pds. She is putting on weight thought at around 200-300grams a week.
Has your little one become a bit fragile after her immunisations? Ella is crying much more
Bambaloo

Ella's immunisations are next Friday before her clinic appointment & we are going to Haylie & Mason's that weekend so I'd better stock up on baby panadol ... what are they usually like after immunisations & how long for?
Ella just had her immunisations and she took them well, it helps to feed them straight after though. She has been just a bit fragile, crying more and wanting to be held. She is more unsettled and harder to get to sleep, hopefully it only lasts a few days.
Not sure if this was just Ella or other bubs were like this too?

ok so I went to a psychic this morning, the one that predicted i would have baby Iris:yes: which was back when O was about 16mths old
And she took one look at Iris and said "she doesnt look dark" i said what do you mean and she said "shes black isnt she, i mean your husband is dark right?"
Then she shocked me again by saying that Iris is very very psychic and can see people (fro m the other side!) and that my MIL was there in the room with us:eek: and she described her as well!!!
She told me heaps of stuff, like im going back to work when Iris is one (I dont want too )
She also said i could have 6 more kids if i wanted BUT that i will choose not too and the reason is Orlando LOL coz his such a handful!
She also said that as long as Iris is happy she will be the best baby/child ever BUT if she gets upset/mad to watch out lol as she is the BOSS!
anyway we went to the hospy and had her granuloma burnt its turned black and should fall off very soon.
also visited work, the teacher who took my position just quit so theres an opening for me to go back argh! I dont want too:no:
ok enough about moi.....
Lana, can you pm me that letter site again hun they looked awesome and much cheaper then what ive been looking at!
Caithi.....I think the expo would be the perfect place to meet up:yes: BUT i would only be able to make it if its saturday OR sunday (sunday's better but i could twist dh's arm for sat.)
Emma.....im sure i remember the link so will pm you hun!
Kirsty....awww those airwraps look fantastic will def. look at getting oen when we transfere bubs in to her cot with out the snuggle bed.
what grade do you teach? I just gave up my job on the goldy and told ed qld I'm not returning for at least a year.
Hi Emma,
My daughter does the same thing in her cot, I found at babies galroe a cot bumper that is made of mesh and SIDS safe. It's called airwrap is about $59.95. It stops them being able to put their legs through the slats. i think its on the babiesgalore site under bedding.
hope it helps
Kirsty
Cool okay thanks for the tip
BRISBANE GIRLS - Where are you all located? I know Emma you are at Arana Hills, I am at Wellington Point, M2B is at Coomera, M2R&M where are you again? What should we do? Lunch one day? I don't mind where we go (as long as not exy, lol). Emma I think you are the only one on northside but I don't mind going there anyway as am over there all the time seeing my family etc so I know that area well. I am mainly thinking for M2B?
Emma was it you that had funny pain/twinges in your back from epi? Did it go away?
The only reason I'm suggesting Northside is because I have a car license and not near public transport so I have to get a taxi to the nearest shops and work it out from there.
Carrie - The pains only came about once a week but I haven't had any laterly so :fingerscrossed:
Lana, can you pm me that letter site again hun they looked awesome and much cheaper then what ive been looking at!
is that letters for the door/wall? me too, please :)
YOU ARE THE BEST!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:hugs: Thank you soooooooooooo much. Will sen it back right after! :yelclap:
So do you all think we should catch up at the expo?
Caithi, Sarah...do u still have the link? I can't find it Or PM me the link if you arn't allowed to post it hehe.
Will do now.
Would be happy to meet up at teh Expo if it suites everyone else.
Just in a trying mood I think.
:hugs: to you hun!
The expo if anything else will be a good chance to shop shop shop!:smiliedance:

Carrie - You arent missing posts lol, it got deleted. You need to get permission to post other sites first and i didnt. Oops!
LL, Shezi and Sarah - I will PM you all the site! The letters are great! Heaps of different fonts, sizes and thicknesses.
Hi Kirsty! Welcome!
LL - How was the perth meet today?? Did you have a good time!? I so wish i could have gone.
ooh you naughty chickies, I was all caught up, and now you've added 3 more pages! LOL
Lana-I heard that too about the green frothies, Kes has about 1 1/2 feeds on each side now, seems to be better for him. Though I imagine in some cases it could cause discomfort, might work for you!
Great to see you around Gemma, hopefully you're all better soon!
Anna- how is Leah going with sleeping out of the HAB?
I had such a laugh when I read that the cheapo dummies seem to be the ones of choice for all our bubs, what good kids they are :D
Kes having a wonderful day, the dummy has so meant that if any time he has cried I have had the solution as it's either: hungry, dirty nappy, wants a hug, burp, or dummy!
Not getting too cocky (well, yeah, I am LOL) as I'm sure he'll be a different baby in the next few days.
5 weeks old today, *sigh* my baby is getting so big!
Let's have some more "pure baby moments", I love them!
Hey Ladies!
Brissy Mums and Bubs - YES I would love to meet up too. I am fine to travel anywhere really. Anytime soon is good for me, I need to get out the house and meet up with some mums and bubs, it will be good to finally meet up.
KirstyE - I live in Coomera too on the gold coast, you should come to our Brissy meet if you and Ella are up to it. If you ever feel like a chat or a meet let me know, we are probably neighbours! Would be good to meet some new friends in the area.
Carrie, the pics of Ella are soooo cute. Madison is having trouble fitting into the huggies newborn nappies too. I bought 2 boxes of the crawlers 6kg - 11kg but they are too big for her, she needs something in between. I should head to nappyland and get some......
Madi had her 6 week paed appointment last Friday - her stats are:
Weight - 4.65kg
Length - 54cm
H/C - 37cm
She is still wearing 0000's, tiny little bubba! Her feeding is pretty bad, she only drinks about 50ml - 70ml at each feed, she will not take anymore no matter what we try. I try to keep her awake but she still doesn't feed too well at all. The paed said it's ok just give her what she wants at each feed - just what your paed said Carrie.
Well I better go have a shower while I can and try and jump on again tomorrow. Everytime I try to jump on Madi decideds it's play time and distracts me....
Hope everyone has a great night and has some sleep!
Luv Nic and Madi :hugs:

Hi Girls .
Sorry i dont have time to read all the posts right now, will do soon. Bit of a me post with a question for c-section lady's.
TMI WARNING!
Well as you all know we get Lochia after we give birth, ok so i had the bright red at first, then over 3 weeks went to the darker red, brown, pinky, then white then nothing for a week. So i assumed phew all good and goodbye. Last Saturday (one before Sat just gone) i started bleeding again semi bright red, but kinda looked like period .. so assumed had that back... when i went for Antonio and i's 6 week check up Dr said possible period back as been 6 weeks and no longer BF, but also could be bleeding as i have been over doing it. Gee helpful. Anyway just went to the loo as i havent stopped bleeding yet, and to me it just seems to be too bright red to be a period. Its not soaking towels or anything, cept when i sit on the loo a heavy stream comes out (only time). I dunno if its more lochia or my monthly... :banghead:. Any tips? (I know AF can be longer and heavier but hmmmmz). Tummy feels a little tender when i poke it but nothing major, i assume still healing.
Sorry for the way TMI but i need some ... something LOL .
Oh and Antonio slept from 12:30am right through til 8am this morning, has been smiling heaps and making lots of ooo ahhh sounds ... he is growing so fast :crying: :smiliedance:
ok just a quickie.. D is sick & on my lap.. M still has a cold but thankfully she loves her sleep so is snoozing and A just doesnt wanna sleep but also thankfully went to bed about an hour ago..
the girls arent going swimming in the morning but i had booked in photos.. i hope they're willing to smile.. for some reason nighttime is when D gets worse if shes not 100%.. i was up with her last night constantly so looks like it'll be the same tonight.. poor little chicken.. i thought it was a reaction to the needle so i will find out tomorrow coz they say any reaction should be gone within 48hours.. as long as i keep moving all is good, its if i sit still i realise im tired.. lol.
ok i think she's asleep so gonna try to put her back in bed.. then i have washing to fold and then im off to bed too.. goodnight all!
thanx for the link lana!
oh & aalivyah is 9weeks old today!! i forgot too whoever mentioned the 'secret santa' for birthdays.. im in.. can we do it for christmas too :D
Its not soaking towels or anything, cept when i sit on the loo a heavy stream comes out (only time).
That doesnt sound right hun - I would go to another Dr if you can:thumbsup: :hugs:

Hmm i had this for a while too and thought i had an infection as i also had a slightly offensive odour. I was put on anti biotics and it went away. I would suggest seeing a different doc too. It wont hurt for them to take a swab and check for you. Better to be safe than sorry!

shezi - i hope your girls feel better soon
ad78 - get this checked asap - maybe next week is too long to wait to see a dr?
my pure baby moment - today i took baby alexander (10 weeks today!), to the "Babes in Arms' movie session at greater union and saw Perfect Stranger, and he was the most perfect little boy just laying in my arms, occasionally changing positon, gazing into my eyes and smiling and laughing when i did.
It was beautiful, plus i got to get out of the house - and the movie was GREAT!
AD- athough it's probably nothing to worry about, it may be worth seeing a doctor before next week. I haven't had experience with it myself, but what you describe is the kind of thing they told me to watch out for when in hospy.
Shezi- :hugs: to D, and to you! You must be very tired, I hope she's better by morning (and sleeping now!). I think you're an amazing mother the way you always have something left to give when those girls of yours need it, and even after that, you have time for us too!
Firsttime, lovely moment! I am looking forward to having that more regular interaction such as laughing, it must feel wonderful.
Kes is getting there... his smiles seem to be more in response to stuff now, like me laughing or singing to him. My tune of the moment is "Raindrops keep falling on my head", LOL, must have the neighbours entertained as I walk past singing!
M2B- is that much of a weight gain for Madi? Sounds like she's doing well though with energy enough to keep her Mummy on her toes! ;) :D
Thanks Caithi for the link
AD hope everything is okay wth you :hugs:

Morning!
Shezi - it was me who suggested the secret santa for the birthdays! Haylie told me July mums are doing it too lol.
Caithi - thanks for the pm - am looking at the sites now!
M2B - Madi isn't much smaller than Ella - how are you getting her into 0000's? Lol. Ella fits into a couple of her 0000's but is also in 00's ... weird hey?! Also I think i need to buy more 00's as the 000's don't button up well over her bigger nappies!
Kirsty - Yes def come to the Brizzy meet! The more the merrier!
I met 2 girls on here yesterday or the day before who live up the road from me & also enjoy scrapbooking & we're gonna try & get together once a week to go to the Point for lunch or scrapbook - we all have little girls too!
Have to brag - ELLA SLEPT FROM 9pm TO 3.30am!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I don't know if it was because after her last bottle (240ml!! - left overs) at 5.30pm she didn't really stop screaming that whole time & wore herself out or if it's cos she only went to sleep when I put her on DH's side of our bed or both.
David said he'd sleep on the couch til she wakes up for next bottle (usually 10-11.30 ish) - I came & got him at 3.30! Lol. I feel like a new woman! Ready to shop today!
Had ot get up at 5am to take DH to his boss's house to take him to work so I could have the car so I didn't have to take him all the way to work. Ella stayed asleep (phew!) - however it's the only morning I wasn't already up at 5am with her from her 4.30 bottle! Typical!
However she has still woken up right now, right on time. At least I have paid the bills, unpacked steriliser and made our bed so will get to have a shower after this bottle (she's screaming ...) and get ready & hopefully leave at 8.30! (fingers crossed!)
Have a good day sexy mummas!
Still trying to think of a good place to meet up Brisbane girls ...

Ok well i thought it was just cos the Huggies were too small but I just got E out of bed & she was all wet - the Baby Love nappy had leaked!!! Poor girl ...
Then I was trying to get her changed into a Wondersuit & I was thinking geez I'm gonna need to get her a size 0 today, can't believe she's grown out of 00's in a couple of days as I couldn't do it up ... Stupid me, it was a 000! May as well put those away for bub #2 ... just getting he rbottle ready & E is lying in bassinette beside me in lounge room looking at the hanging toys sucking her dummy ... not even crying for a bottle! Wil give it to her tho as it's been just over 3 hours ...

Caithi.....will get her number frommy mum (as she organized it for me)
Am also going to see another lady who works for the police (kind a like medium) shes in sutherland and a bit $$$ BUT apparently well worth it, as the one i saw yesterday was good BUT not as precise as i want.
Also lets set a date/day for the expo meet as i think that would be brillant, have i already said that? maybe oh well
Carrie....I think secret B'day is a fab idea!
1st time, im so jealous you got to see a movie lol glad to hear Alexander was such an  for you hun!
I took O once to the movies and he screamed the house down...very sensitive to sound etc
Might take Iris though as shes very easy going
ok a me post now....
I had a very strange dream last night (oh and Iris slept from 8.30pm till 5am gush love her so much hehehe)
Ok in my dream i met the guy i took to my yr ten formal (he had really long hair IRL when i knew him he was into heavy metal) anyway in my dream he had cut off all his hair and looked like David off BB06:eek: it was a really weird weird dream.
Anybody else having strange dreams about randoms
Iris's granuloma dropped off last night, well most of it theres still a lil left and it bled also mustnt of hurt though as Iris didnt even blink!
Hopefully the rest will come off otherwise we have to go back and get it done again.

M2B - yesterday Ella wasn't drinking her bottles either & even then she only drank 70ml ... not normal for her! Also, who is your paed as E's is based at Sunnybank Pvt where we saw him the other day. Dr Seto...
AD - I had a caesar at the end of January.
*TMI ALERT*
I had post-partum bleeding for 5 weeks, then it stopped. At six weeks, I got my first period and it was very heavy. On Day 3 of my period, I had a massive bleed (the blood was pouring out like water for several minutes). I rushed back to the hospital and they gave me an urgent ultrasound which didn't show anything significant... they thought I might have had some retained products because I lost several large clots as well. My period lasted about 10 days and then stopped.
My next period was also a bit heavier.. and yet again, I had another bleed (but not as severe as the previous time). I was in the UK at the time so I did nothing about it. It resolved itself and my period lasted about 7 days.
I'm due to get my period again now, so god knows what it will be like. I think what I'm experiencing is my hormones trying to rebalance themselves...so maybe that is what is happening to you.
Wouldn't hurt to get it checked out though...

Hi girls
Nemosmum thats nice that your pregnant friend's pregnancy is going great this time. My bestfriend is nearly 22wks pregnant too and I get jealous as well!! Its very strange and when she tells me things like when she felt her first movements etc I get goose bumps!!
Jacey slept well again last night (7pm to 4am) then (4.30am to well she's still asleep now). It great that her feed times are getting quicker. Gone are the 1.5hrs, I dont even bother turnin on the TV now!!
Baby Moment:
When she woke up at 4am during the night she had unwrapped herself and was quite cold - poor little possum, I grabbed her feet in my hands and she smiled at me with a little giggle. This is her first giggle. So So cute, had to wake DH up to ask if he heard it through the monitor, but he hadnt.
oops she just woke up

I feel like a bad mummy!
I was very tired so not 100% sure if toadlet had actually woken up.
At 4.15 I heard a grizzle and he had been asleep over 6 hours, so I turned down the monitor so it wouldnt wake adrian and the next thing I knew it was 5.30 and the monitor lights were going balistic!!
DP went in to cuddle Toadlet while I made his formula and he wasn't crying too much, but his sleeve of his wrap was very wet so must have been sucking it for a while. He also didn't have that poor sorry look he has if we let him cry for a bit, so hopefully he wasn't crying for too long.
But.. from the time he went to bed to the time he got up, it was 7 hours fourty! YEAH!!!
Tazzy, glad you got a giggle, isn't it fantastic!! I got my first one two days ago.
Hi icugal!
Apart from scoobs, who lives in Adelaide?
Hate to miss an poortunity to meet some girls.
I'm taking Monty for a swim down there is anyone else wants to take their babies for a dunking.. I mean dip.
What suburb is the nappy shop in in Adelaide? What's it called?
Glad Iris's belly button is getting back to normal.
Laugh for the day... DP's nickname for toadlet it "rodent". DP bought a very solid door to put on Monty's room so that we couldn't hear him wail from the lounge if he was having a grizzle. We also had to get those rubber seals you stick on the inside of the frame to help as there were huge gaps. On the box of the rubber seals it says
"Helps protect against draughts, light, insects and rodents"
I managed to get Monty to smile on camera today:
http://www.bizztools.net/m/monty_8weeks.html
A bit nervous about my flight as that is the time of day Monty does his poop!!
RTC's mum - do you wake her to feed her because she is so little still, or do you do that to get her into a routine? Just curious, - cos i dont wake my boy for feeds - bad mum???
A bit of both. If I let her sleep she often goes btw 5-7 hours between feeds which means she is not getting enough into her. Also we have a great little routine happening so I like to keep her in it. It means that she has her last feed at 10:30pm and goes through to 5:30am then has a 10am, 3pm, and 8pm.
if you happen to find anywhere that does big letters to hang on a wall let me know..
Freedom also has some nice ones covered in fabric.
Well we are having a lazy day at home today doing washing and cooking, boring! Will load us all up for a walk soon. We might head to our local cafe for a baby cino and a smartie cookie!! Bad I know but the girls get treats so rarely and they are fine with sharing the cookie so its nice to sit relax and have a coffee while they munch away.
Hi M2B,
I would definately like to meet up with you and Madi. I live in Upper Coomera -near the state college (sadly enough I just stopped teaching there).
On immunisations, Ella did really well last night. She had panadol with her last fee at 9pm, then did her usual sleep till 4:30am. She was happy this morning -fussy but happy. She refused one side for the first time today. strange, hope it only lasts a week as I hate expressing.
M2b i can understand the excitement of Madi reaching 0000 and 000. Ella is just starting to fit 0000 now at ten weeks. She started in 000000(yes thats six zeros) and it was so dissappointing as there isn't enough range to dress her up. My little Ella is a chugger though and put on 300 grams this week.
Oh Check out the Toys R us site for their new baby catalogue. I love as it has bonds on sale, and heaps of stuff really well priced.
I am so intrigued in you all going to see psychics. I've never ever even met one- don't even read my horoscope. I can't believe they know so much about you instantly.
A bit of both. If I let her sleep she often goes btw 5-7 hours between feeds which means she is not getting enough into her. Also we have a great little routine happening so I like to keep her in it. .
You are so lucky to have only 5 feeds a day! Ella varies between 6-8 but generally likes her last feed to be 10/10:30pm too. I haven't even really looked at routines yet. How did you develop yours or did you let bub set the times?
i am in brisbane can i ask where you got your photos taken of newborn or if anyone can suggest where
I'm not sure in brisbane, I got pregnancy shots done, tehn bought a top of the range digital camera so that my husband and me and could capture each moment of Ella's newborn days.
Apparently pixie fotos are quite good.

Thanks icugal :hugs:, sounds a lot like what i have.
I called Hospital, they where just as helpful as my Dr. :banghead: Told them all the gory details, dates, how much, color, symptoms etc and there response was "well could be a heavy period, could be retained product, could be more pp bleeding" but it is almost 8 weeks which is a bit too long, go to your Dr and he will probably give you antibiotics. or you if gets worse just pop down to emergency. WTF? Oh and thats right she also says its not good to lose that much blood as can cause anemia, have you been feeling extra tired... um yes! well thanks so much for stating the bleedin obvious ... very helpful! DANDENONG HOPSITAL sucks! From birth to now they are useless and i will not be recommending them to anyone.
So anyway have made an appt (first one avali) for tommorow morning with a different Dr.
Geez when at hospital there like any abnormal bleeding call straight away.. now they couldn't give a flying u know what.. I'll just bleed to death shall i.. ok slight exaggeration LOL but you know what i mean. Sitting on the loo dripping red blood into the bowel.. dont seem normal to me. Sigh
Especailly when i have also discovered that some women can have late PP hemoragging that can be serious. (Now i dont think i have that but shouldn't hospitals be a little more concerned, or dont they care until you actually pass out etc).
it must be scary not knowing whats happening and having unhelpful doctors. I'm thinking of you today

AD - I have also had some quite heavy bright red bleeding that doesn't seem like AF blood. Before my 6 week check the usual post birth stuff had stopped then a couple of days of nothing followed by 2-3 days of bright red! I asked the OB at my 6wk checkup and he said it was quite normal - most likely not AF and probably just hormonal. He didn't seem to worried. It has continued off and on since but to be honest I am not too concerned. Mind you mind wasn't streaming into the loo.... good luck at the checkup - I am sure it will be okay.
LT - don't feel bad. We all do it at some stage or another. Crying doesn't hurt them - more difficult for us I think.
Hey Ladies,
Kirsty, I live in Upper Coomera in the Somerton Ridge Estate, about 2 minutes away from you. We use to rent while we were building just across from the state college on Reserve Road. Send me a pm if you wanna meet up? or email me at nicoleburling@hotmail.com - do you go to the Helensvale Clinic for weigh ins at all?
Carrie, Madi's paed is Dr David Moore, right next to your's. Weird hey! Guess what, Mum and I just looked at Ella's photo's and Mum thinks the two bubs look identical - another freaky moment for us! Have to send you some pics, but my computer is too slow to upload them.
Be back soon, mum's leaving so just have to say goodbye!
LT- gorgeous video, i can't believe how big all our babies are now!
does anyone else feel a bit "over it"? i guess the novelty has kinda worn off and i am coming to terms with my 'new life'... i've had a couple of naps today so i'm not tired, just worn out. trying to teach him to 'put himself to sleep' is doing my head in. took me an hour and a half to get him to sleep yesterday then it was nearly time for another feed so he only slept for 40 mins. he's feeding every 2-ish hours which i am getting so sick of!
sorry for the 'me' post, i'm so glad i have you girls to vent to :)
Hi Hollie (TOADY),
Just a quick post to thank you SOOOO much for the nappy! It's truely awesome! I love it. I'm sure Chelsea will too!
WOW - Your work is amazing! It's top quality stuff.
Love ya lots Toady
xx Scoobs xx
Hi to all the girls and bubbas too.
We are going to view Chelsea's Pixi Fotos tonight. Can't wait. Craig says we can get the whole pack. $395.00 but I just know the pics will be stunning!

Don't stress, I've almost given up trying to teach ella to put herself to sleep. She'll do it at night but not during the day. Thank god for my glider chair. It puts her to sleep within 15 mins every time. Maybe he's in a growth spurt and tha's why he's feeding every two hours?:)

Hey!
M2B - How weird - both things! Lol. Can't wait to see Madi's pics then - even better - meet her in person at our Brissy meet ... any suggestions where? Hmmm ...
Kirsty - That's good about Ella feeling good after immunisations! I have to get baby panadol ready for my Ella's needles next Friday.
LT - Don't feel bad! Lol about the protection against rodents :) Cute video too!
Can't remember who I was replying to ...
Gotta make this quick before Ella starts her 'witching hour' - well 3 ... And DH is doing groceries for me cos I'm stuffed from shopping.
Another baby moment today - I was changing E before we left & said as she was lying on the changetable 'are we gonna go shopping? Gonna have a girls day out with mummy?' and she started smiling & gurgling at me! Awww ...
Did well today, got out the door by 8.50am so only 20 mins later than what I wanted. E was due for a bottle at 9.30am but hadn't drunk her 6.30am one but everytime she was winging I'd stick her dummy in so she'd stay quiet til we went to Mother's Room but she'd go back to sleep! Went until 11.45am then I went to the MR & woke her for a bottle which she drank peacefully for once & changed her & she was gurgling at me again!
Exchanged jeans I got last week for a nice, soft & long cardi, exchanged my jeans west top for a different one (also hides baby belly!), and I was a bit naughty & instead of buying 1 item each fortnight with my tiny pitiful amount of bogan-link money I got a couple more things on credit so will just oay it back -
I got straight leg or skinny leg (not really sure as I thought skinnies but they said straight ...) from City Beach of all places in a 14! Jeans shops didn't listen to me when I was saying jeans are always tight around my tummy, big in my butt & back & legs - so annoying - and they never let me try on straights or skinnies - always want me to go wide leg when I think they make me look shorter - plus my legs aren't very fat so bit of an insult ... Anyhoo size 16's i took back were tight on belly & massive everywhere else in all jeans shops so can't believe i actually got some in City Beach lol. Oh & the cut looks so much better!
Also got my oversize long grey zip-up jumper from Target ($10 off!), trackies from Target, coles myer gift card for dad's birthday on Tues, some lavender cotten hankies & silver vintage compact mirror for mum for M's day. And just boring stuff like the S26AR & nappies - got to get girl ones! yay!
Ella was good most of the day til Target when she wanted me to carry her. She went back in while I went & got lunch & then cried again. Waited like 10 mins for chick at KFC to bring tray out to me (hands full, overflowing pram) & then had to go back & ask ...
Anyhoo mum called me on mobile & i left it on tray & didn't remember til I went to look at time like 15 mins later! Asked cleaners who hadn't seen it & said to go to customer service so on the way down the travelator a man behind me said did I lose something as someone seems to have something for me. Another cleaner I hadn't seen had the phone - it was a bit feral with sauce on it but at least i got it back!
Then Ella was crying & spitting the dummy even though only an hour after her bottle so in Big W I had to put the nappies & formula in the part of pram where she sits as the top & underneath basket were full of shopping & carry her while my jeans were falling down & had to walk to the other end of the centre & keep stopping to heave E up - she just wanted to look around & smile a everyone! Lol. THEN couldn't unlock my car but the boot did (hatch) so I had to climb in the boot (meanwhile, Ella was screaming the car park down!) and unlock the door! Aaaghh!!!
SORRY FOR THE MAMMOTH POST!!! SORRY TO BORE YOU!!! Excited about clothes - all set - just need a new bra & hand bag now ...
Hope E sleeps like she did last night now!

Hey!
SORRY FOR THE MAMMOTH POST!!! SORRY TO BORE YOU!!! Excited about clothes - all set - just need a new bra & hand bag now ...
xxx
you certainly dont bore me - i LOVE your posts carrie!
hear hear firsttime, I always enjoy reading a post from you Carrie! You must be chuffed about the clothes, I'm hanging out for my bogan-link ( that is such a classic name for them!) payments to start... it's not a lot of money, but it has been a long time since money has gone in to my bank account and I too am going to go shopping!
AD- doctors can be so annoying, hope you get some answers soon. I think there should be the option of a free ultrasound at the 6 weeks check, for peace of mind if nothing else!
And :yelclap: for Matthew and his big yellow poo!!! LOL
For the last 4 or 5 days I've been taking long walks (1 to 1 1/2 hours) with Mum and doing shopping and such. Usually Kes is in the sling, or in the stroller (until we finish at the supermarket where we put the shopping in the stroller and Kes in the sling. WELL... today we arrived at the shops, shopped for a weeks food, then realised I'd forgotten the sling! So my arms and back are a wee bit tired to say the least! And a downpour started while we were in the supermarket, LOL, so Kes got a bit of a free shower. He loved it, must take after his Mum :D

:D
talking about bogan link - (LOVE the name btw), we are on low income and i'm not working and we only get $45 per fortnight - how sh!t is that. anyone else feeling ripped off after paying taxes for 15 years??
Hey!
Carrie, I love your posts too! You always make me laugh - I am glad you got the car unlocked! Would have been a nightmare if you couldn't do it!
Not sure where we should meet, maybe at a shopping centre so we don't need to pay for parking and they also have mother's rooms. Would Carindale, Indooroopilly or Garden City be alright? Somewhere away from the city 'cause of the parking costs. Should we try and meet up one day next week? Kirsty, you should come too - I sent you an email too!
BG - Kes sounds so cute, I am glad he enjoyed his free shower, poor bubba! What kind of sling do you have? I am wanting to buy something to carry Madi around in, 'cause some days she is so clingy and this way I could still have two free hands to get some work done.
Carrie, I couldn't find those baby love nappies, so just put Madi into the Huggies Crawlers for Girls - 6kg to 11kg. They are huge on her so hope she doesn't leak, the newborn huggies are too small and tight on her, what to do!! Madi is having her needles next Friday too - I just made her appointment, they said to give her panadol half hour before - has anyone else done this?
LL, I agree with Kirsty, maybe it's just a growth spurt feeding every 2 hours, Madi does this once a week and it drives me crazy. Kirsty, Madi is the same as Ella, falls asleep on her own at night but not during the day - glad it's not the other way around. LL, I hope you have a good night with Harper, vent away!
Scoobs, that's great about the pics, I am sure they are stunning too! Let me know how they go, I want to take Madi to get some Pixie Photos done too.
Well better get some sleep while I can. Have a great night ladies!

Don't get me started! Bogan Link will not even pay me 1 cent, how **** is that. I have always worked and paid taxes and yet I get nothing. I have to go back to full time work in August so I can pay for other ppl to live! Nothing against any mums on here, just my situation sucks big time! I would love to stay at home and not miss out on Madi's first year, but 'cause we can't afford to live on one income and no bogan link money I have to go back to work and Madi is only going to be 4 and a half months old! Blue Gin - I too love the name! hehehe
First of all can I say a big
TOADY YOU ROCK!!
This sexy momma sent me the most beautiful bum cover ever... and I mean ever!!
Ooooooooooooh Im so overjoyed!
THAK U THANK U THANK U you gorgeous lovely person!! Made my day!
AND ....
Nai nai is now reaching for things on purpose and for reason and laughing (well snort laughing lol ) - two milestoes in one day - very chuffed!
M2B - yesterday Ella wasn't drinking her bottles either & even then she only drank 70ml ...
OMG! Nai nai is a little piggy lol - 150mls plus expressed milk, plus boob lol he he
I managed to get Monty to smile on camera today:
http://www.bizztools.net/m/monty_8weeks.html
How did you get video on there?? :wizard:
Matthew has pooed!!!
Hey congratulations!! Nai did a poo today too lol - It spilled over the nappy (TMI? lol) when I put it down and it went all over the top of the change table - ooooops - but I was sooooooo happy -I think she thinks Im nuts he he
does anyone else feel a bit "over it"?
Ahhhh babe I was there three days ago whilst cleaning up my spew lol - but im back into the want another one now mode lol BIG :hugs: to you lovely momma!
Another cleaner I hadn't seen had the phone - it was a bit feral with sauce on it but at least i got it back!
THEN couldn't unlock my car but the boot did (hatch) so I had to climb in the boot (meanwhile, Ella was screaming the car park down!) and unlock the door! Aaaghh!!!
Oh my lord - What a day! BIG :hugs: to you too babe!
talking about bogan link - (LOVE the name btw), we are on low income and i'm not working and we only get $45 per fortnight - how sh!t is that. anyone else feeling ripped off after paying taxes for 15 years??
How come everyone is getting a payment and Im not? lol How do I apply for it?
boganlink - too funny! i got my maternity payment but won't get any other money as i am on half pay from work (for 17 months OH YEH!) and DH works on a mine...
it sux that people (esp mums!) who should get it can't and lazy bludgers who can't be stuffed getting a job get paid to sit around!
re the sleeping, yep i think i will be grateful that he goes back to sleep straight away at night and try not to get too stressed about it. he really is a good baby, mummy is just a bit tired and stressed out.
think i might find a cleaning lady (or guy), its just not happening and that makes me more stressed out!!
shopping - i need to get some new clothes, still can't do up my jeans (bl00dy kanga pouch lol) and its too cold for my other pants. was in my tracky daks til Harper wee-ed on me!
whats your baby's fave thing to do at the moment?
Harper LOVES to lay on his changetable with no daks on (takes after his dad...) and smile at the dolphin toy hanging above. i can leave him there for ages while i sort out his nappies and washing. of course the changemat is usually wet pretty quick and today he did a 'fountain wee' onto the carpet! :)
bluegin you are so lovely! thankyou :hugs:
just another quickie from me coz im off to have a shower and go to bed.. i would already be there but just making sure D is actually sleeping.. i'd feel horrible if she woke up and cried while i had a shower.. poor little chicken.. i've booked a dr appt for her tomorrow but im hoping she's back to her usual self in the morning and i can cancel it!
A has decided she wants to be held 24/7 which i can actually handle BUT with D sick it wasnt going so well.. mum had tues/wed/thurs off this week so she has been a huge help. D was up from before 6 today with a 40min nap at lunch and didnt go to bed till 7.30.. i dont know how she does it! M has almost shook off her cold thankfully but seems to have given it to my mum! oops!
M's so cute, we packed her bag earlier for 'kindy' tomorrow and she picks what fruit she wants to take.. she just seems so grown up.. oh and funniest thing.. there was the biggest loser ad trying to 'recruit' people for 08 and someone says 'next year this could be you' and M was watching and looked at me with the most serious & shocked face and said "mummy she said that would be me!!" i just looked at her and almost laughed and then she kept the same face and said "thats terrible isnt it!" then i cracked up.. poor kid has been watching too much dora i think.. she thinks she interacts with EVERY show lol. anyway i explained no she would never need that show.
speaking of boganlink.. lol. we get an extra $15 a f/n for having 3 kids. actually we get just under $200 a fortnight and chris is on good money.. not sure how it works hey..
R&M'smum YAY for matthew!! he must feel so much better.
Freedom also has some nice ones covered in fabric.
oo thanx for that.. must go have a look..
hollie i love little toadlets smiles!!
We are going to view Chelsea's Pixi Fotos tonight. Can't wait. Craig says we can get the whole pack. $395.00 but I just know the pics will be stunning!
yeah i can never resist buying the lot either!! we had the same photographer as last time come over today to take pics for my mum and chris's mum for mothers day.. got some great shots even tho girls arent 100%.. oh and aalivyah did the biggest grins.. ended up spending $335 on 3 A3's, 1 A4 & 1 6x8.. all framed. cant wait to see them all framed :D
Carrie you just had me in stitches! lol. the things we do eh! i can just picture you juggling ella and climbing through the boot:laughing:
caithi check out the centerlink website and see how much you're entitled too. any amount is better than nothing hey!
ok so much for a 'quickie post'.. goodnight all!
Hey chickies  how are you all tonight?
Damn internent was down all day so I was very bored, until my sister (sarah) and her little girl (renae) came over. Renae tried to feed Cooper and when it came time to feed him as we had to take him off her she burst out crying lol.
Here's some pics.

I just made her appointment, they said to give her panadol half hour before - has anyone else done this?
Hi Nic - INdooroopilly is closest to me but I could make any of those with no trouble. ALso - yes I do the panadol 1/2 hour before vaccinations. Apparently you don't need to do it these days due to some change in one of the vaccines but I do anyway cause I think it helps to alleviate any following pain where the needles were stuck in.
Gotta go - soooo late. Just had a go on x-box with DH and BIL - I'm such a big kid sometimes!!!! Playing some war game where I really have no idea and I am sure I am more of a liability than a help. Oh well - gotta lash out and have some lunatic fun sometimes :o.
Wishing you all long sleeps....

think i might find a cleaning lady (or guy), its just not happening and that makes me more stressed out!!
Ooh i am looking for one too! If you find a good one could you let me know please?? :D
LOVE all the photos girls!
Caithi - Anais' tights are sooo cute!
LT - I so wish we had a video camera. I can use my camera for it but the video part isnt that great on it.
Emma - Cooper and Renae look adorable together!! He is getting so big!
I sort of only really skimmed through all the posts, sorry gals.
I took Amity to go see a friend today and our two girls played together. She had a great time. Then i had to come back home and drop the kids of with Sam while i went to go get my IUD inserted... I have some cramping now (sort of like period pain) but that is apparently normal.
Went to the shops tonight with my Mum and Step-dad and i bought some leggings and a 3/4 sleeve shirt/dress thingy.. you know, the kind that is in style at the moment lol. It is a rather hippy-ish design (which i absolutely love!!). Only problem is that it sits a bit snug around my hips and i think it is meant to be loose. Might go back and exchange it for the large. :( (how i can be a size 10 and need a large i do not know! Maybe it is meant to be tight!?)
Hi Grls,
Just a post before I head off to bed.
ALL the pictures of your sweet precious little ones are adorable!
Caithi - Im with you on the "TOADY ROCKS" thing! She's a sweetheart hey!! The one she sent me was absolutely amazing too. Chels is going to look so great in it!
Emma - Renae is a little cutey. Do you know what makes her even cuter than cuter though - the fact that she is holding onto your dear handsome son!
I'm still having moments where I catch myself staring at Chels and thinking "Ohh my gosh, I can't believe I am a Mum.. I can't believe that Chelsea is mine.. my daughter...my gorgeous little darling daughter".... It happens on a average of about 2-3 times a day. I just continuously count my blessings!
"Pure baby moment" - When Chels is laying on the lounge and she is supposed to be going off to sleep. I come back and check on her and she's wide awake. She looks up at me and does the cheekiest grins".. She turns her head in one direction a tiny bit (while she keeps looking at me) and just pulls the hugest grin (the mouth open wide grin) as if to say "I'm still awake Mummy.. hahaha" It melts me! She smiles at the cheekiest of moments. Sometiems when your least expecting it.
Another pure baby moment - When we got home from looking at the pixi foto's (which were awesome by the way).. I wasn't talking to Craig as we'd had a difference in opinion regarding his plans for tomorrow night. I went to lay Chels on the cushions on the lounge, I had tears in my eyes from crying and was still VERY upset.. She just smiled and giggled at me as if to say "Mummy it'll be okay, you've still got me and I LOVE YOU!" How SWEET!
Will have to scan my favourite pic from pixi's over the next coupla days or so and put it up. Hopefully Pixi Foto's don't see it or I might be in a copyright breech. D'oh! I soooo want to share it with you all though. Hmmmm "Scoobs contemplates...... " Yeah I might try and do it.. I will just post it on Photobucket and put a link up.
R&M's Mum Congrats on Matty's Poo LOL
Shez - Sounds like you got a good deal with the pics. I'd love to have a couple of Chelsea's pixi ones blow up to an A3 size. Awww I'm jealous hehehe (Joking)...
Carrie I love your posts as well. What can we say .. Atleast you keep us entertained and on our toes! Thanks for all the giggles love... I can only imagine what you looked like climbing over the seats lol.
R&T's Mum - Don't see ya around much... hope everything is going great for you!
AD - Wow .. you're back ... or do you just pop in every now and then... How's antonio? Im a bit the same as you and Icugal. Had caesar, bled for a good 4 and a bit weeks, got period back 2 weeks after that and it was heaps HEAVY..and have been bleeding for 3 weeks tomorrow. Barely bleeding now but it was heaps heavy for the first 2 weeks ... slowing right down now thank god! I'm sooo over it! LOL The bleeding that is! LOL
LL - How you coping with your other half back at work doing shift work? I'm going really well and much better than I thought I would. I really love being at home with her. We go out together a few days a week (mostly to the shops to buy more stuff for her lol) - or we go to visit people/family. I love being a Mummy, I love spending time bonding with her and showing her the big wide world! Sort of into our own routine like all the girls on here said I would get into.. still not all the way there yet, but not stressing.
M2B - Can't wait to show you my fave pic of Chels... IT IS absolutely FAB!! I'm sure you'll all love it too. Let me know if you get any done. There are some places that you can go to, to get pics done in Adelaide and they will send them out to you to view. All you do is scan them and then send them back saying your not keen to buy any of them and you'll try to rebook another sitting within 3-6 months. Hmm well that is what my cousin did with her two boys. I wonder if there are places all over Australia that do things the same way ie. post them out to you to view.
Who would be game enough to scan them into their computers and then send them back without buying any?
Scoobs : I WOULD !!
Anyone else????
Let me know.... if you would do it to!!!
Gotta go my lovely's!
Must get an hour or two's sleep before Chels is awake and demanding her feed! haha
OH BY THE WAY .. She slept from 6pm yesterday evening to 1.30am this morning!
OMG - that's a WHOLE 7.5 hours. I didn't think it was possible for her. After that, she had two 6 hour blocks of sleep... Sheesh - I'm a new woman too!!! Miracles do happen.
For all the mummas out there waiting for their bubba's to have longer sleeps... it's taken Chels approx 9 weeks to sleep any longer than 5 hours (normally 3.5-4hrs tho), and then there was the big jump to 7.5 hours. There's hope out there yet!
Night girls!
Thanks girls. Yes Scoobs I think Renae is very cute too. Hehe. Also can't wait to see pics of Chels pixi photos.
Caithi, Anais is absolutely gorgeous..
Cooper's woken up with a cold, poor little fatty. I hate using the aspirator on him.

Bogan link:laughing:
I think we get about $50 a wk for the two.
For all those not getting anything that sux big time!
I would be pretty pi$$ed off!
Trying to crunch the numbers about me heading back to work too, and yes we would be infront even with paying childcare for two BUT i just keep coming back to the fact i dont want to leave my lil ones:no:
Which makes me feel v.guilty as I ran back to work when i had O, he was about 8mths old and i loved going back to work.....this time its totally different i dotn want to be away from them. I think coz i know Iris is my last and i dont want to miss a moment!
Im going to look into weekend work or night work as that would be much better for me i think
M2B...feel for you hun, its not easy making that decision to return to work so early after bubs arrival , but ya gotta do what ya gotta do
Caithi~ the pics are beautiful hun and you've got some nice eye candy there;) I would stop throwing thos baby monitors at his head though you might ruin that gorgeous face of his!
LL~ Im on 28wks half pay maternity leave BUT still get the bogan link, so thats weird BUT its not like we are doing great in the $stakes atm
17mths half pay is awesome!!!
My cousins work in the mines in Goulburn, where abouts are you?
Emma~ your niece is beautiful hun she looks so thrilled to be feeding lil Cooper!
ok yesterday after dropping O at kindy i went for a long walk and as i was walking home I walked passed kindy and O was at the gate (as his class was outside playing) and he saw me:( he didnt cry or anything just said "Muuuuuum"
so i took him home, he'd only been there an hour lol
the photographer has confirmed shes coming this sunday (YAY) and the great thing about her is shes just starting her bussiness so the photo session is free and her prices are very reasonable
Whats everyone doing for Mothers day next wk???
hi girls,
carrie- just read about your day yesterday. My goodness you coped well! I use the babyborn when shopping and haven't attempted clothes shopping without DH or mum.Ella sounds too cute smiling at everyone.
library-laksa - Harper sounds excellent on his change table! My Ella has an animal border on her wall and does the same staring happily thing. it is so tempting sometimes to leave her happily there. the fountain wee sounds funny.
ok ella has woken so better stop here for now.
sorry for double post but 4got to add FYI
jen74 and I decided to meet at paradise point next thursday 10th may . We thought we could get coffee at the cafe and bubs could play on rugs or there are swings for older bubs. We both have young bubs (2 months).
Everyone is welcome to join us just Pm me for the time and exact meeting place.
Hi girls,
Just a quickie and then I'll go back and read the last two days of posts.
Leah has been unsettled (suprise suprise) but has had a really really bad couple of days so Im trying to spend more time with her just taking it easy and doing what I have to do to make life happier for all.
Daycare day today. Loving having time with just Leah. Shes been smiling lots.
Nothing major going on. Had Ob appt yesterday. Alls well. Dragged two kids around the shops for 3 hrs as I had a pile of errands to do. Going to try not doing that again. Sam wants to walk too much now and wont hold my hand and wanders off. Quite frustrating.
Anyhow, going to read posts now.
Ok, skimmed them all and cant remember a thing LOL.
Bogan link - we get zilch as well.
LL, sorry to hear you are having a rough time with the putting to sleep. Im still trying to master that too. Got it down on Fri and Sat last week but then had a really busy week since so it kinda all went out the window.
Congrats to the girls with good sleepers. 3 nights out of the last week Leahs only woken me once ....... the other nights its been min 3 times. Hoping for more of the once a night thing.
Congrats on Matthews poo LOL. Leahs still doing the explosive water ones. Guess we can see the end of them any day now.
Beautiful video LT. What a happy smily boy.
Lovely photos girls.
Whats the deal with Pixi Photos. Ive never had any done. Are they good? how much are they?
Shezi, hope your little one is better today.
ummmm........ cant remember the rest sorry.
Going to get my washign sorted now. That was my job for today as its in mountains around the house.

Well i went to Dr.s and she gave me script for 2 different types of antibiotics, as said prolly infected as bleeding more than 10 days. She pushed on my tummy which must have made me bleed more as while i was standin queue at chemist, yep i leaked.. and that was with a fresh SUPER pad on :banghead::o Talk about embarrasing!!!
So sick of bleeding! Basically said if gets worse etc to be seen straight away.
Pills are a pain in the *** too, as i have to take them 2hrs apart from each other as if you take at same time they conflict or some ****, and thats twice a day, for 2 weeks!!!
So it better bloody stop. Oh and why didnt the Dr i spoke to last week assume i had an infection? *** A'Holes.
Ok going to be bed before i really crack up.

Bogan link - we get zilch as well.
Going to get my washign sorted now. That was my job for today as its in mountains around the house.
I know how u feel hun, my study is slowly being taken over by my pile of washing! I have 3 baskets full BUT i have tipped another 3 on top! It would be sooo much easier to deal with it all if Amity didnt insist on helping me all the time! hmmm maybe Sam can help me fold it when he gets up...
Bogan-Link... Ok im confused... for all you ladies that dont get anything, your partners must be on superperb wages cos Sam is on really good money but we still get a bit!! Dont feel like you HAVE to say how much etc... just thinking out loud really... sort of worried that maybe they are paying us something they shouldnt be now.
AD - so glad that you finally saw a doctor that listened to you and checked it all out. Its a horrible feeling when you know something is wrong but they just wont listen. Hopefully it will start to die down soon!
Scoob - cant wait to see Chelseas Pixi photos!
Sarah - Can fully understand you not wanting to go back to work.
I was talking to my MIL the other day and something came up about their business and the studio they have bought for the office (to get it out of the house) and she asked if when Griffin is a bit older and not b/f any more if i would be interested in being their 'girl' and looking after the office for them!! (All my jobs have been Admin/reception style) How good is that! It means that way i will have the flexibility to have a day off if i need to etc! :smiliedance:

AD...you poor thing! I hope your feeling betetr soon and the bleeding stops asap!
Lana....great news about your new job lol well when Griffin gets alot bigger hehehe lucky you!
AND i was thinking the same thing as you about the bogan link.
Iris is watching baby einstein for the first time!
Im getting a bit worried about her actually as she can only stay awake for barely an hour at a time before yawning and getting fussy for bed....
how long is everyone elses bubs awake for before they start getting tired???
Bogan-Link... Ok im confused... for all you ladies that dont get anything, your partners must be on superperb wages cos Sam is on really good money but we still get a bit!! Dont feel like you HAVE to say how much etc... just thinking out loud really... sort of worried that maybe they are paying us something they shouldnt be now.
I was thinking the same Lana lol. Dh get's app $750 per week and we still get $470 per fortnight from centrelink. That's great about the job too. I wanna do something like that.
Hey just a strange question, Cooper loves watching the TV and I was wondering if I watched a scary movie that he might have a nightmare?? LOL
Elmopalooza
04-05-2007, 13:47
Emma - Hmm.. i dont think Cooper would have nightmares, only because i think that you need to be able to use your imagination to scare yourself enough into having nightmares.
RE Bogan-Link- Sams pay has been a bit more than usual lately because of nightshift but it is generally around the $1800 per week mark. and we still get about $90 a week from them!
Emma and Sarah - The new job will be great hey! MIL said that i will be able to take Griffin with me too as i will be the only one in the office. Might just take the play pen with me. Its so nice to know that i have a definite job when im ready.
Sarah - not sure exactly how long Griff stays awake for but i think its around 1.5 to 2 hours... I think lol (how bad a mummy am I!?)
LL - How you coping with your other half back at work doing shift work?
not too bad, i think Harper is better behaved when his dad is away!! i had a couple of days where i was a bit fed up but no worries now...
LL~ Im on 28wks half pay maternity leave BUT still get the bogan link, so thats weird BUT its not like we are doing great in the $stakes atm
17mths half pay is awesome!!!
My cousins work in the mines in Goulburn, where abouts are you?
we live in perth and his mine is wayyyy up north (next to NT). its Argyle, a diamond mine :D :D he is thinking of getting a new job tho, bit sick of it, wants a change...
17 months half pay - my work give 6 months paid maternity leave which i took at half pay and i also had long service leave at half pay. i'm due back at work when H is 14 months and i plan to get pregnant again straight away and just work part-time for 6 months then go on leave again.
how long is everyone elses bubs awake for before they start getting tired???
depends on the time of day. in the morning sometimes over 2 hours, in the arvo usually an hour to 1 1/2 hours.
AD - glad to hear the new doc gave you antibiotics. can't believe the other doc was so clueless...
Harper had his needles today, poor little man screamed! but he was asleep 10 mins later and seems to be his usual happy self, he's totally into his hands right now. i got some baby panadol just in case and no plans for today except lots of cuddles.
sarah A has her days where she might only sleep for a couple of hours all day.. but other days she is only up for an hour at a time.. Iris is growing great so i wouldnt be worried.. plus she can do all the norm cant she.. like tummy time lifting her head, follows you with her eyes.. you know all that(im sure i've seen a piccy of I on her tum with those gorgeous eyes!) i think you just got lucky! hehe. if you're really worried tho call the health nurse or your dr..
iris must be due for her 2month needles soon.. maybe say something then?
as for mothers day.. nothing planned here.. mums working & chris's parents are working away for a month leaving this sunday. might be seeing my nan on the saturday tho.
omg i feel so bad! i ended up cancelling D's dr appt as she came good but you wouldnt believe it.. the little chicken has tonsillitis!! i feel terrible.. she had more panadol before and is hardly eating & drinking.. i looked down her throat and they look like marbles and they're covered in specks of white which is pus! i was horrified coz they resemble M's.. and the trouble we've had with hers was shocking.. still think she's getting them out this yr coz even when hers arent infected and she coughs they clap together in her throat.. huge! i'd hate if D has to go through all the probs M had.. i just feel so bad for cancelling the appt. she was so happy earlier.. then crashed..
on another topic.. i looked into another school for M next yr as she starts kindy in feb. well we've pinpointed it down to 2 kindys.. one offers 2 full days 9-3 and the other offers one full day 9-3 & 2 half days, a 9-11.45 & 12.45-3. i think im leaning towards two full days purely coz taking M to school at 12.45 is not practical with a 2yrold and 11month old at home. thats in the middle of nap time.. i have to enroll her before july to get a spot.. so they say anyway..
ok im gonna go.. all 3 girls are asleep.. im in shock.. i think its the first time in weeks A has slept in her bed by herself for so long through the day! *i think i just heard M.. not sleeping afterall lol.. but atleast she plays quietly:yes: * oh and she had another fab day at daycare! and stayed for lunch..
RE Bogan-Link- Sams pay has been a bit more than usual lately because of nightshift but it is generally around the $1800 per week mark. and we still get about $90 a week from them!
great news re the job!
do you do a yearly income est with them? i have no idea how it works but i know we had 65000 down for last yr then i had to adjust it a few months ago to 85000 this yr so we actually get $200 a f/n now but it will go up in july if that makes sense.. coz of the adjustment so we're not over paid. looking forward to tax time actually! $600 a child  hehe
Lana, DH is on a very good wage but perhaps I should check it out and see if there is something we are entitled to :detective: . Can always do with a wee bit extra to help out. What sort of allowance should I be asking about or is it a generic thing?
Great news about the job too. Congrats.
AD, hope the bleeding stops :hugs: . That sounds horrid. You poor thing.
Shezi, sorry to hear about the tonsils! Poor darling.
Sarah, Leah often wakes up tired. She gets hungry at about 2.5-3 hrs and has only had 1-1.5 hrs sleep (once she finally gets to sleep) so shes falling asleep on teh breast and basically just goes straight back to bed if she doesn't perk up.

well this bogan link is pi$$ing me off - my DH earns around $1000 per week before tax and we only get $45 per fortnight bogan link.
emma - you sound like the closest to us financially, and our bogan link payments are way different. i hope they are not overpaying you and you have to pay it back
or maybe i should check if i am getting underpaid!

With Bogan Link, You are entitled to Family Tax A (income based, but you should get something) and Family Tax B (which is based on the lower income earner) I get ALL of Family Tax B because I am the lower income earner and i dont earn anything!
We get $90 of Part A (fortnightly with 2 kids) and,
$113 of Part B (fortnightly with 2 kids)...
Hope that helps you gals. For all you firsttimers, when it was just Amity we were getting $166 per fortnight .
ETA: If you are a low income earner as a couple, you can also apply for Parenting Payment Partnered i think. But the cutoff for that is quite low.

Well I dont know about bogan -link. We just claim ours in DH tax return and last year we got about $4500! Annsam if you have not been claiming it in your tax return and have not been getting anything off bogan-link I would ask your accountant to check and maybe he can do something about it, they can do amendments and things to previous years. They do an extra schedule in the return (family tax schedule). We do it this way so we never get overpaid etc. DH does lots of overtime and it would be hard to estimate. But he is on a good wage too and we are still entitled obviously.
OK off to a BBQ. Can you believe it Jacey has hardly slept today but decides to drop off once she is bathed and we are ready to go!!
Have a good weekend girls
Goodness! My DH needs to get a new job! LOL, ah well, I guess you can't miss it if you've never had it (though I do feel a bit bad for not understanding why DH whinges over money now :o so I hope we do get something from Bogan Link, sounds like we should! Purely for interest sake; what figure is considered 'low income'?
Caithi, those pics are gorgeous! A well loved little blossum you have there!
Emma- Renae is so cute, and nice Anthony Callea (sp?) cushion :p LOL
Anna- I have an unsettled little chook today too, but still having some naps. At what age do the poos become less watery, explosive, and frequent?
Scoob, looking forward to the pics!
M2B, I use a HugABub sling, pretty awesome! Have a squiz at their website, it's got lots of info. They are expensive, I won mine in a BubHub comp :D
Shezi, hopefully it's a one off thing with D's tonsils, it would be very unlucky if they both had such trouble!
Kes is having scary sleep at the moment, where he sleeps... but keeps screeching every so often like he's having a nightmare! Don't like it. Poor fella.
Going to try get some work done now, hmmm, I wonder how that will go! LOL
PS. Lana- great news about the job!
Hi Girls,
AD - So good to hear that things are beign sorted out with you now. I hope I didn't have an infection. Do you or have you gotten any pain with it. I've been bleeding for 16 days now. Although yesterday and today have just been the smallest smallest discolouration. I'd basically say that it has stopped so yah. Just curious to knw if you had any pain associated with what you went/are going through. :hugs:
Lana & Anna- I've somehow been keeping up with my washing. Half the reason is because I need all Chelsea's pretty clothes washed so she can wear them again if we go out. I just love it when people stop me ATM and say how gorgeous she is... love showing her off when we go out cause I am so proud of her. I wash her clothes and towels 'n' facewashers (cause Im using them instead of having to put on bibs and then take em off allt he time-much easier) every 3rd night and do our clothes inbetween at some stage. Craig's work clothes get done on the weekend. As far as folding it and putting it away.. well I am just putting them all on a clothes horse to dry in the dining room because my new clothesline isn't in the ground yet. We have to put it where we took the pool out from and that needs to be filled in and re-grassed so for now I just use the clothes horsey. As its hard to fit more than 2 loads on at a time, I have to take the previous loads washing off and I just fold it then and there and pop it in the basket.. I do however put it away - but it's normally the next day LOL
Anna - With my Pixi Foto's, I was in Baby Target and had a lady come up to me to offer me a free sitting where you get a bonus print. You make a sitting/appointment time and they take between 6-8 diff poses of baby (or family, or just the kids etc). You go back 2 weeks later and view your prints and pick up your big freebie print. The idea is that you like the pics SOO much that you buy some.. or the whole package.. In our case it was 7 poses. They produce all your pics in 3 different sizes and if you want to buy the WHOLE lot, you get a big discount on the overall price. For the 7 poses in 3 different sizes (so 21 pics) we were sposed to pay $395.00. We got a set free however, so it was only $370.00. Quite an okay price. We used some of the maternity payment to pay for them. It's not something you would want to do too often as it can get quite expensive. Good to do occassionally though. The photographers are SOO great with the kids, I guess thats because they normally always work with kids from newborns to under 12ish.. Although I think you can get all ages done! Ohh and if you got the Baby girl or Baby Boy Bounty Bag (the 3rd one you get.. which is the one you can get from Target with your bounty bag voucher).. there should be a voucher in there for the same thing. A free sitting with a bonus large print.
At what age do the poos become less watery, explosive, and frequent?
Harper is still doing heaps of sloppy ones, he is almost 2 months old. he mainly feeds from one side now so its not that...
emma - you sound like the closest to us financially, and our bogan link payments are way different. i hope they are not overpaying you and you have to pay it back
or maybe i should check if i am getting underpaid! We have been in there a few months ago and made sure everything was right. Dh just bought home a letter from them saying our combined Annual Income is $1,969. God they are Di*kHeads
Emma- Renae is so cute, and nice Anthony Callea (sp?) cushion :p LOL
LOL Dh has to wake up to that cushion every morning
Hey Ladies,
Congratulations Lana, the job sounds awesome. It will be so good to take bubs with you, even better! Wish I could do that, I would go back to work now if I could.
Kirsty, I will think about meeting up with you and Jen for coffee too, I don't know where Paradise Point is but with check it out on the map.
Bogan Link - I think we don't get any money 'cause we were on a combined income that was over the threshold for most of this financial year and 'cause we are paying a mortgage. It's all too confusing for me, I would even like a bit each fortnight but that's not going to happen. My DH does get a great wage but still not over $130,000.00 a year which I thought was the combined threshold.....I will talk to our account and see what we can do if anything.
Scoobs, I am going to use the Pixie Photo voucher from the bounty bag and get the free sitting, thanks for the heads up! Can't wait to see your pics!
Bluegin, thanks I will check out the site now! Congrats on winning it, I didn't know that - well done darl! Hope Kes isn't having scary dreams, Madi cries in her sleeps, it's so sad to watch!
Harper is still doing heaps of sloppy ones, he is almost 2 months old. he mainly feeds from one side now so its not that...
*eep* Ah well, I do find it somewhat entertaining coming up with new ways to fold the nappies to contain them
Ohh and if you got the Baby girl or Baby Boy Bounty Bag (the 3rd one you get.. which is the one you can get from Target with your bounty bag voucher).. there should be a voucher in there for the same thing. A free sitting with a bonus large print.
Ooh, thanks for that, I haven't picked up my bag (let's hope I kept the voucher, LOL) so I'll look out for it!
LOL Dh has to wake up to that cushion every morning
Hehe, at first I thought it must be a pic of your DH, till I remembered your liking for a certain Idol ;)
*EDIT- M2B, it's horrid watching them when they do that isn't it! He's sleeping peacefully now, I've put his bassinet (a cloth one) up on the table beside my laptop so I have a hand free for cuddling when he stirs. With the HAB, they're a tad tricky to put on the first one or two times, but a breeze after that :)
DAMN! i just stuffed up the screw in the monitor battery thingy with our electric screwdriver!! DHs shed is a total sty too, so i dont know where to start looking for a normal screwdriver to try and get it out...
poor little guy seems a bit off now after his needles and he cried when i touched his leg. gave him a little panadol. he cried in his room so i've got his bassinette in the lounge with me now and he has crashed out, doesnt want to be alone i guess, he always sleeps well with the tv on.
everyone see the ben cousins statement? he doesnt give a toss, hey??!

Hey girls
Had a cr@p night last night - E went down at 6pm & woke at 10.15 for a bottle & stayed awake pretty much to 1am - everytime I put her down would doze off then start winging again! Grr ... Got to watch some of BB Uplate (again) but boring ... who wants to see TJ roasting nuts & reading an oven manual while Bodie & Demet fall asleep waiting to catch a rubber fish?? I hate TJ but DH thinks she's hot - he's mad!
E was then up at 3.30am & had a bottle then 6 (as usual) then in bed with me til 8 then i took her in shower with me. So tired.
Luckily today as soon as my mum & aunty came over E decided she would actually go to sleep (only was having 2 mins here & there but so tired today!) and slept frmo 12pm to 2pm when I decided to have a sleep (typical!). Just took her into bed with me. She stirred from about 3.30 but that's what dummies & cuddles are for! Finally got her up at 4.30pm to give her a bottle since her last one was around 11am & didn't even drink it.
Her last bottle was the AR one so hopefully she'll be better now with the reflux. It is thicker so took her a bit to get it out but then it flowed but get this - IT DIDN'T FLOOD ALL THRU 4 LAYERS OF SPEWY & HER CLOTHES!!! Yay!!!
Guess what? Yesterday the girl in Just Jeans looked like Hayley off BB - was so tempted to say so lol. Then I saw a guy who looked like Bodie! Look alike day hehe.
Will do replies on sep post now! (had to take notes from last 4 pages!)

M2B - Carindale would be fantastic! Emma you can get the Great Circle bus from Brookside to Carindale! Perfect. How about we do Sizzler lunch as sizzler is at Carindale?
Also Nic, Ella cries in her sleep too - how sad is the bottom lip?! Wonder what they dream about ... maybe they ran out of milk!!! Haha ...
With the Nappies - I got Ella the Huggies "Infant" ones which are 4-8kg. They would be a better fit for Madi :) Can't go to Nappy Land this week for the box so I got 2 x 48 packs at Big W as on spesh.
Emma & Caithi - luv your pics!!! Renae is so cute & Anais has HEAPS of hair! Caithi, who are the boys with Anais?
Gin - I still haven't had a period & Ella is just over 7 weeks old now ... I thought I got it on my birthday (typical, lol) but only had a light bleed for like 1 day with cramps & that was it!
I got my pill too but haven't started taking it yet ... somehow I can't bring myself to? I will prob regret when I get my rags though cos I was put on it when I was 15 as my periods were heavy as, would last for 10 days at a time & irregular plus bad cramping. I am suprised my endometriosis was not picked up til last yr when I had all those symptoms plus more!
AD - I hear ya about stupid dr's! After my endo was taken out via laparoscopy, they discovered my appendix had rotted - I had been so many times to dr's & to the hospital once as well with what I thought were appendicitis but always told no it wasn't!!! I was lucky it didn't burst & get toxic poisening apparently! GRRRRR I HATE doctors!!!
Sarah - so cute about you getting O from kindy after an hour! I wouldn't have been able to resist it either - what did the teacher think?!
Kirsty & Gin - I have been thinking I want a HAB too as lately E has been staying awake longer at day time but doesn't like being down for long (especially on the floor - she will stay in her bouncer for ages usually but not as long but not the play mat!) so then I can have 2 hands to do things (clean freak alert again!). I am worried it'd hurt my back as I have a bad back but also she is prob too big now?
Kirsty - Where is Paradise Point? I'd luv to come! That sounds like a fab cafe!
Lana, Emma, Shezi, plus everyone else - DH gets about $500 to $600 per week and I get $36 per fortnight!!! That is FTB Part A and Rent Assistance!!! How f**king sh!t hey - it is so irregular what we are all getting paid! AND we nearly didn't qualify as they said DH earns too much but not as much as a couple of your DP's & DH's - HOW DOES IT WORK?!
Ours will go up in new financial yr I think cos I worked full time for the majority of this fin. yr & next yr I will earn 0 (I don't wanna go back to work lol). They sent out a letter with what I would get - 2 different ones in 2 weeks and the 2nd one the payments were different each fortnight up to end of May? WTF I don't get it?! I think we over estimated DH's income too cos it was $500 for every $1000 you're out & his pay varies each week. Eg last yr he got a $400 pay one week & $800 the next ...
Oh & I f**ked up majorly this week- I thought medibank direct debit came out next week (which has gone up again!) and I transfer rent on thurs (pay day) to other account then put back in on Friday night to be taken out & i went to do that before & account was - $126!!!!! WTF? Medibank came out this week!
Dumb me so I had to put extra money in from 'savings' - I say "savings" because there is now like $130 left!!! BUT we had the $600 paed bill this week (savings), $181 mobile bill, $56 home phone bill ... At least DH is working tomorrow at least for half a day so will get a better pay & nothing due next week except rent so I can put the $ back on credit card I used & some in savings I hope.
So Shezi - do we get $600 per child at tax no matter what? I usually do mine myself & dh goes to accountant she claims him extra stuff but I will go to accountant as well seeing as I worked for majority of yr then stopped & with bogan-link etc - I don't wanna miss out lol!
Sorry for the long post!
E is down but hoping even after her long sleep this arvo she will have a better night again- usually has 2 good nights then one bad night ... this better change soon!
GOOD-NIGHT!
Just caught DH and Cooper watching tv, so cute. Don't mind Dh's big gut

That certainly does suck about you not getting enough centrelink. It's really unfair.

BRILLIANT IDEA BRISBANE MUMS!!!
How about we go to the Babes In Arms session on a Wed morning at Carindale & have coffee afterwards??? (or Sizzler, lol). Maybe not the Wed coming but the one after as I can't afford this Wed so 16th May?
Dh had 1 can of beer & Ijust skulled half - tasted fantastic!!!
Have to share - got this in an email with a pic of Luke Skywalker - MAY THE 4TH BE WITH YOU! ROFLMAO!!!
M2B & Bluegin - It is recommended that you take one or two things along that might be special to you, so that they can use them in the photo's. We took a quilt that one of Craig's parents friends made for Chelsea. It has her name and D.O.B embroidered into it anmd came up really well in the pics. We also took the Fisher & Price Peek-a-blocks train and a pink teddy that she got given by my Aunty in hospital and a HUGE teddy that I got years ago. They used them all in the shots and they looked great. They do however haveheaps of their own accessories there so they can dress up the pics. They have fabulous ideas. When I post my pics, I will give ya a small explination on what they did and what's in the pic.... Stay tuned for the pics. Might do a couple later tonight. I should atleast have them scanned and saved and up in photobucket by the end of the weekend.
BG - If you didn't keep the voucher to pick up your 3rd bounty bag from Target... then call this number (1300 650 263) and let them know that you have misplaced your redemption voucher and they will send you a new voucher in the post. I had to do this because I never received the book int he 2nd bag that contained the voucher LOL.
Hi All,
Ella is driving me nuts tonight. She is crying so much in her sleep. Full tears and all but is asleep. I'm torn between cuddling her all night and leaving her be. What do you think?
CarrieB-
Also on Carindale, can I bring a friend and her bub. We might miss the movie but meet you all for lunch?
babybjorn is good, but it does give me a sore back after a few hours. I'm buying a electronic swing for at home. Mysister inlaw tels me they are lifesavers.
I don't get much either. My husband earns around 1300 a week and my estimate was around $45.00 fortnight. I think it is because I own my home (mortgage) rather than rent. It will go up to $166 a fortnight in july as I won't be working.
LL- what did ben cousins say? I haven't seen it yet?
Nic & CarrieB- paradise point - take the hope island exit from the M1 and follow directly towards the water. there is a left turn at the bowls club street ( not sure of its name). It's pretty easy and has cafes directly accross from the park. Also has a safe swimming area with sand. It is an excellent park for older bubs heaps of equipment, swings etc.
LL- what did ben cousins say? I haven't seen it yet?
he just apologised etc, it was so obvious he was just saying what he has to say in order to keep his 100s of 1000s of dollars!! there was no sincerity. oh well, he is still HOT  he accidentally walked up to our table at a restaurant last year and he is even better looking in real life, my sis and i were grinning like idiots LOL
ANYWAY we will still be premiers again without him!! hahahaha

everyone see the ben cousins statement? he doesnt give a toss, hey??!
yeah it was so set up - he didnt put any sincereity into it....
Shezi, hopefully it's a one off thing with D's tonsils, it would be very unlucky if they both had such trouble!
i wish it was a once off for D.. she's had tonsillitis about 5 times so far.. this is the worst i've seen hers tho.. M was averaging every 2 or 3weeks at her worst.. from 18months till she turned 2. she would just get over one lot have a few days of feeling good then get another bout. flippin ridiculous!
not sure about 'low' income.. check out the website.. you put in figures and it will show what you're entitled too.. i actually thought every was guaranteed either part A or B(not sure which) just for having a child and becoming a 'family'.. i didnt think it went on income.. weird..
So Shezi - do we get $600 per child at tax no matter what? I usually do mine myself & dh goes to accountant she claims him extra stuff but I will go to accountant as well seeing as I worked for majority of yr then stopped & with bogan-link etc - I don't wanna miss out lol!
omg.. chris's pay went down to $800 a week at one point and i was going nuts trying to keep up with bills and what not.. but keep in mind our loan repayments weekly is like $350.. add rent $200.. food $200.. well thats nearly it there.. then there's petrol, bills.. it was really bad. i cant wait till all the loans are repayed.. many years to go..
oh and yes the $600 a child has nothing to do with income! not sure if it still happens but i also get $500 for M.. you can claim for one child only under 5.. so once M turns 5 i will claim for D or A.. it must still be happening.. so you'll get $1100 guaranteed!
he just apologised etc, it was so obvious he was just saying what he has to say in order to keep his 100s of 1000s of dollars!! there was no sincerity. oh well, he is still HOT  he accidentally walked up to our table at a restaurant last year and he is even better looking in real life, my sis and i were grinning like idiots LOL

ahhh benny boy! lol my sis's friend used to date him years ago but they split and remained friends.. i was so annoyed tho coz my sis her hubby and my brother and his mate went clubbing one night but i didnt go coz i was having morning sickness(not that i knew it at the time lol.. i was 'just' preg with M) anyway they ended up bumping into him at some club then stayed with him club hopping the rest of the night.. anyway i was unimpressed.. i wouldve taken a bucket! why didnt they call.. WHY?! hahahaha

Sheree - The pics of the girls look great! Chris doesnt look anything like what i expected him to lol!
I couldnt give a rats about Ben Cousins... Im a Freo gal!!! GO THE DOCKERS!!!
Griffin was so unsettled tonight... He fell asleep then woke and just kept crying. He was looking for boob but when i laid him on his side he just screamed more... Turned out he had a ripper tummy ache. So after a few spews and a fair few farts he had a good feed and is now asleep. Poor Little Man!
Poor Amity too. I have had a really short fuse with her today. Just one of those days i think.
All you ladies with washing will be very proud of me! I have folded and put away all but one basket which i will do in the morning! Just need to vacuum and mop the floors and clean the bathrooms now... Does it ever end??
Oh and one more thing... OUR SETTLEMENT WENT THROUGH!! :smiliedance: We are so excited! The block is officially ours now! 8 days late but better late than never i suppose!
ETA: For all you shopaholics, a friend of mine emailed me a big list of online shops (baby and toddlers)... If any of you are interested just PM me and i will forward it onto you!

we have had EXACTLY the same night with Alexander tonight - it was breaking my heart because it wasnt exactly a wind cry and i didntknow what to do, then he spewed, and went straight to sleep. cant help but think "was it something i ate?".
does anyone know if philladelphia cream cheese affects breastfed babies? i've had stacks over the past 24 hours.....
LL - LOVE LOVE LOVE your pics!!!!
Shezi - gee A looks just like her daddy doesnt she!
Hiya,
LL and Lana - Chels has had bad wind tonight as well. She hasn't had a spew yet, so I am just wondering if that is still to come.....
Maybe its something in the air.
She seems more content now. Craig is home from the local footy and just fed her. She's managed to fart some out and just did a couple of burps. It's sooo hard & frustrating knowing that there isn't much you can do for them. :crying:
LOL still haven't scanne dany pixi fotos in yet! D'oh, there's just so much to catch up on & now that Craig is home.. I can finally do some things without having to tend to Chelsea..
Hope you're having a good night
Scoobs
hahaha not 5 minutes later and she has perked up over Craig ... hmmm  Ohhh I shouldn't laugh, should I???
Thanks for the list Lana - hmm I am SURE that will come in handy. Can't wait to start looking around.
Might go and scan 1 of the pixi prints into the computer and upload it...

AD...you poor thing! I hope your feeling betetr soon and the bleeding stops asap!
Thanks Hun .
Basically my post partum bleeding stopped around 13/4... i had the usual bright red, to browny pink, to white then stopped. Then nothing until 21/4 when i got what i thought was my period back (looked similar), then as the days went on it just went extremely heavy (gushes when standing, walking, sitting on loo, or when on loo it will be a steady drip) and back to really bright red , like when you cut yourself etc. Has stayed like this and is still going. No pain but slight crampy feeling and with a slight weird odour.. i assume from infection (not overly offensive but i know its there ifykwim). Also have been passing small clots when started bright red again these where about size of rice and now peas.
Seems the bleeding is slowing a bit now, which is good!
Dr seemed to thnk it was infection caused by retained product possibly membranes. Basically said these 2 lots of antibiotics should clear it up,(lol should do gotta take em for 2 weeks :banghead:) but if not to go back as i may need a d/c, or if it gets worse go to hospy straight away.
Antonio is getting his first jabs on Tue so i will see how it is then.
Neosmum, Antonio is usually awake 2-3 hrs between feeds, and then sleeps...
He actually almost giggled yesterday, he did the open mouth cheesy grin and was trying to giggle, but made more of oooo ahh sound.. made me have big cheesy grin too .. was very proud! He also for the first time yesterday gave me a big hi mum smile when i went to pick him up :smiliedance:
I cant believe how fast they grow, some days he looks so different to the day before or night before. :D
Lol i dreamt his first word was 'bugger!' LOL I dont know why ... we hardly use it in this house. Have also dreamt before his first word was 'funny'
Anyway must go back to bed, been ordered to rest... which is hard for me. But must be done.
Hey Ladies,
Carrie, Carindale sounds good to me. I think Madi will scream the place down if we went to the movies, but I will be in for lunch or coffee for sure, not this Wednesday but next. If you are still interested in going to Paradise Point for the meet up, you are welcomed to come to my house and I can drive us there, we can put Ella's carseat in my car (I have DH's 4WD, so heaps of room), let me know what you think?
Shezi, Emma and LL, the pics are just so gorgeous, all bubs are so cute! I love the legwarmers - they are adorable, I want some for Madi!
Madi has been playing up all morning, she had a feed at 6:15am and only just went back to sleep at 10am - she was screaming so bad then all of a sudden fell asleep. I hate when she screams like that, I feel helpless trying to calm her down.
Lana, congrats of the land! That's great news! You need to go out celebrate now!
AD, so sorry to hear about you, I hope you rest up and the bleeding stops for you. At least they finally sorted it out for you, bloody doctors! I have been thinking about first words too, bugger would be so funny! I think Madi's first word is going to be daddy - better be mummy - lol

Hey my lovely mummies ... this mummy feels like a new woman - ELLA SLEPT FROM 7.45pm TO 2.30am!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! That's her PB!!!
Except after that she only slept til 4.15am (i think this is her body clock waking her up at that time as that's her usual time). Had to keep going & putting dummy in & giving her cuddles as she had a bit of pain I think.
I wonder if it is the new AR formula as it is thicker & she hasn't spewed it yet so she might be more satisfied? She has only actually finished 1 bottle of it tho! Is this the same girl? Only thing is it seems to get stuck & block up the teats ... but then if I leave it sit for 10 mins it comes out easily ... Anyone have any tips?
Replies on separate post again ...

SARAH - Do the Mods read ALL the posts on BH??? OMG I am flat out keeping up on 1 thread! Lol.
Also, I've been trying to convince DH to go to the mines too! I don't think he wants to leave us here but I keep saying well it will set us up if he even works 1 year there.
BRISBANE MEET:
Ok we won't worry about the movies, lol. I'm gonna try & take Ella one morning though ... see how she goes!
Let's just make it lunch at Sizzler,(deleted by moderator)... 12 noon? We can meet outside Sizzler?
KIRSTY - Yes of course you can bring a friend! The more the merrier I always say! Oh & when are you going to Paradise Point again? Is it this Thursday?
NIC - I'd luv to come to your first & go with you - the girls can chat in the back! lol. It's good you get your dh's FWD - do you always get it or do you usually use your 2-door? Finally we'll get to meet - 2 weeks in a row as well!
Do you wanna email me your address? DO you exit where you exit to drive into Dreamworld?
Oh & my front doors on my car are f**ked - the front one only opening from inside(??) & DH can always unlock driver's door but I can't! There's a trick to it & I'll have to learn by Thursday! Lol.
At least Thurs night we are picking up the commodore from mum & dad's to borrow to go up to Kingaroy on the weekend so I will drive that on Friday to go to E's appointments & DH can have our cr@pbox car!
Lana - Congrats on the land!!! YAY!!!
Shezi - GORGEOUS GIRLS!!!!!! I think A looks like you!
Scoobs - I wanna get Pixie Photos done too - a lady approached me in Target Carindale the other day though & put me off as she wanted me to book there & then when I said I might wait another month or something & I'l ring & book. She kept saying you never get this time back & this is the best age blah blah blah & I said I'll ring & book when I'm ready (meanwhile Ella is screaming the place down) then she said we could get them done now - Hello?! We'd been out all day, E was tired & hungry & wanted cuddles, the pram was overloaded with shopping, I was buggered too ... I said again I'll ring - she said they're booked til 20 May so if I want them done in a couple of weeks I have to book NOW. I just said I'll talk to DH &take the leaflet. THEN she approached me 2 secs later, doing her speil then I said you just spoke to me!!! GRR!!!
I'd take her Peter Rabbit toy that rattles & sits on changetable - this cheers E up every time & she talks to him & gurgles & smiles lol) - and her pink & green blanked embroidered with Ella & maybe her Ella towel as well and a couple of teddies.
Not sure i like nakey baby pics though as they must be cold poor things!
Scoob - Ella always does massive spews on Dave as well & never on me! Cracks me up! Then he goes 'um she spewed ...' I'm like well what do ya want me to do about it lol.
What would they do on their own?? I think I wil have to book my pure indulgence treatments soon & leave her with him!
LL - Is Ben Cousins the AFL player? I don't watch AFL sorry ... I like Rugby League though - I went to high school with Justin Hodges. Others who went to my primary & high schools were the Berrigan bros & someone else but I just went blank & can't remember lol. Justin was a bit of a to$$er at school - he was a grade or 2 above me & hung out with one of my friends.
CLAIM TO FAME - anyone have any good ones?
I am still in shock that Ella slept so long last night - I thought she wouldn't sleep cos she'd slept all afternoon - 4 1/2 hours! Oh then after a shower with daddy & bottle at 5 ish she slept til 7.30 then 2.30! MIRACLE!
Ok better cruise ... luv ya's x

Justin hodges was he the good looking guy who played for easts?
I went to school with a tosser too lol lance thompson what a knob:yes:
ok my claim to fames are pretty lame but hey thats half the fun of claiming them hehehe
As a teen I worked with the lead singer and the guitarist from The Vines
dh cousins with a couple of sports stars like 'the man' yup and the captain of souths etc
um thats about it oh an old friend of the families was on the cover of french vogue once about two yrs ago :D
told ya they were lame!
Hey Carrie, I will PM you my address now! Wow, that is such a great sleep for Ella, how I would love that. Maybe something to try if you haven't already is buy a teat with more flow holes in it and see if that helps unblock the formula? Not sure just a thought. Madi and I couldn't fit in our 2 door car so I made DH swap with me 'cause it was to hard climbing through the front to the back to strap her in her seat, but when I go back to work I will have to swap back to my horrible 2 door again.
Sizzlers sounds great too me! I have a voucher for Ella Bache so I might go a little earlier and get a treatment done! hehe
Claim to fame - don't know anyone personally but once had a change hotel rooms for Keanu Reeves when he was filming the Matrix. That was good at the time, but not anyone else, went to school too with some footy players but that's it that I can remember.
I have to go do the house works so don't want to at all! Oh just remembered we are going to Sizzler's tonight for DH's sister's 16th birthday, be good to have a good meal for once instead of eating my **** cooking!
Morning all! My poor little man is currently squawking down the house with the hiccoughs, but pretty cheery so no worries there.
Love those photos! LL- nice jaffa outfit, is that a Berry Plush? Noice
Shezi- love your pretty girls, looks like A is a true water baby too, I'm scared of holding my slippery little sucker in the shower, might make DH do it for some photos! LOL
Just wondering, how do you do daily stuff while holding A? I find myself having trouble doing anything at all while holding Kes, but would love to learn!
Scoob- thanks for that, I think I'll take the shawl my gran knitted him, she'd love that
Sarah- O sounds so cute, no wonder you couldn't leave him there!
I keep forgetting to say that I think the present swap for their birthdays is a great idea!
I'd also love to do it for Christmas, just small stuff, more for the fun than anything else! :D
Lovely drippy rain this morning, I might grab a brolly and take a stroll with my wee man.
**EDIT: I used to serve Shane Warne at Maccas, he was such a nice and friendly guy

Nic that's good your dh lets you use the FWD! Nice one! I don't mind using the 2 door - and get this - mine is old - 1991 Suzuki Swift - & my sister has a new Getz & the pram fits better & easier in my car! It doesn't go in hers! WTF that's weird hey. And my parents have a new (4 door) Swift & the pram hardly goes in there either ... old cars aren't that bad after all ...
CHRISTENINGS / NAMING DAYS - Does anyone know where I would start organising one, how much it costs, whether if it is a christening in a church do you have to go to the church (we don't go to church so thinking naming day?).
(text deleted by moderator)
Potentially wearing dad's old christening gown which we all wore which I think is silky & lace & is cream if it is in good condition still but otherwise gonna go white & pale pink. I'd like the cover white & pale pink anyway so I can take the dress off her at thingy afterwards & she can wear that & a comfy top.

lots of practice.. but i can now bf while dressing M & putting D's shoes on! lol. its pretty bad but im used to it now.. lately i cook every night with one in my arms, not a good habit to get into but with them unwell or crabby it just makes it easier than listening to them scream at the gate..
baby carriers would be really helpful i reckon.. i always leave mine in the car tho.. oops and i cant just run out to get it coz M will open the door & let D out.. then they run next door to mums  even when shes at work they dont care..

Yep he has... One lovely benefit of being an electrician. Plus, the job he is on is a big one so they get paid really well. He is earning the same money as what my brother is and my brother works up on the mines!
I will email the list to you gals now! Sarah - Can you please PM me ur email address though??
Gin - I am too scared to take Griff in the shower with me too... he is a little worm and they get sooo slippery.
I agree with Shez... just lots of practice! Mind you, as much as i would love to, Griff refuses to feed on the move.
Once Griff finally fell asleep at 9.30pm last night he slept for an amazing 8 hours!! So good to his mummy!
I am so jealous, what's the trick to get bubs to sleep so long? When do they eventually start sleeping longer. Madi doesn't feed too well, she only drinks about 70ml at each feed, she is only taking in what her body needs and no over eating at all - that's what the paed said. She feeds every 3 to 4 hours. Her latest sleep pattern is 8:30pm into bed, wake up at midnight for 70mls and back into bed at 12:20am then sleep til 4am for about 30ml then sleep til 6:30am for 70mls then about ever 3 to 4 hours during the day. Today she has changed, she drank 70ml feel asleep for 20minutes then wanted to have another 10ml feel asleep again and wanted some more of the bottle. I make up 150ml bottle for each feed hoping she will drink it all to make her sleep longer but not yet! So basically what age is it when they should start sleeping longer at night? Is it 10 weeks?

That is basically what Ella usually does too. Maybe try if she's had a midnight feed, when Madi wakes up at 4 try to give her a dummy (if she has one) and leave he rin her cot & pat her til she doezes or put a mobile on or whatever you normally do. Leave her & walk out. If she winges a little bit, go back in, settle her etc & go out. This happens a few times til they sleep but you may get an extra hour out of her anyway & don't change her or anything. She might then drink more at next feed. Even if E has a feed at 5 she still wakes at 6.30 too! Take Madi back to your bed for cuddles if Dh has left for work! They will sleep another couple of hours!

Thanks Carrie, I will try the dummy and pat tonight, hope it works. It's like she doesn't want to wake at 4am 'cause she is only drinking such a little amount and from the time she is awake til she falls asleep is usually only 10 - 15minutes. I do take her to bed with me when DH leaves for work, he usually leaves home at 5:30am so we get a good sleep together.

Even though you have to go in a couple of times (well I do with Ella) it's worth it if it teaches them they aren't getting anything - Ella wasn't drinking much at that feed either & Haylie told me she stopped changing Mason as well so I did that too. Hope it works for you!
aww too cute LL!
where do you get the leg warmers from? they are gorgeous!!
they are from the babylegs website. heres another pic (http://i116.photobucket.com/albums/o37/library-laksa/HARPER/070505Cooloutfit001.jpg)with his 'firestorm' nappy (ignore his weird eyes, my dad and i look like that in photos too, DH calls it alien eyes!). i also have legwarmers that are black with white leg bones, will take a pic when he wears them.
For all you shopaholics, a friend of mine emailed me a big list of online shops (baby and toddlers)... If any of you are interested just PM me and i will forward it onto you!
yes please! (don't tell DH lol... the poor old visa...)
congrats on the settlement, WOO HOO :yelclap:
does anyone know if philladelphia cream cheese affects breastfed babies? i've had stacks over the past 24 hours.....
not sure but Harper gets really bad gas if i have icecream or flavoured milk. i'm lactose intolerant so i think my body doesnt process it properly. do you push his legs to his belly to get the farts out? its so funny but makes them feel heaps better.
H was feeling a bit off after his needles, slept 8.30pm til 1.15am which was nice but didnt go back down til 3am (after some more panadol). his usual waking time is 5/5.30 now, damnit!! but i just sit on the bed with him and he goes back to sleep after an hour or so then we get up around 8.
So basically what age is it when they should start sleeping longer at night? Is it 10 weeks?
Harper is 2 months tomorrow and has only just dropped his midnight feed, he goes through til between 1.30 and 3am now but only feeds for less than 10mins so hopefully we can get rid of that one soon too!

Is it 10 weeks?
m2b - Alexander was born 21 Feb, and had exactly your bubs pattern, and then one night miraculously he didnt wake for the midnite feed - just woke around 4am - i woke with a fright thinking "is he ok" - couldnt believe he slept thru a feed, but then he has done it ever since, so i think when they are ready (age wise perhaps), they will sleep thru a feed.
Your feeds sound small though, my little champ, or should i say BIG champ takes alot bigger feed than that, so maybe the feed size helps?
I thnk he skipped that feed around 7-8 weeks?

i do the leg thing but he screams harder and tried to push his legs out straight, so i cant get any farts out.
think i might need to cut down on the cream cheese, and hot chocolates

LL and Sarah - I have just emailed you the list.
Firsttime - When Griff has tummy pains i lay him on his tummy. That way he is able to bring his legs up under his tummy and push the farts out himself. Maybe that will help for you too! (well Alexander anyway lol)
M2B - Griff just all of a sudden dropped his midnite feed at around 8 weeks too... Maybe it will happen for you soon. Do you Give Madi some then burp her and offer her more?? Are you changing her nappy in between (after first part of feed and burp)?? I found that helped to keep griff awake long enough for him to do the second half of his feed...
Thanks for the replies, hopefully in the next couple of weeks Madi will drop a feed. I have tried everything to keep her awake, I burp her at least 3 times when feeding and change her nappy, I tickle her, talk to her, sing to her (I have a bad singing voice so should keep her awake). She just refuses to take anymore then 80mls max. at each feed, she srews her face up and will not open her mouth at all. She will start crying if I try and force feed her. I was worried, but the paed said as long as she is doing wet nappies and putting on weight then things are ok, just not a big eater. But I do agree if she drank more at each feed she would sleep much longer, hopefully things will change over time.
Well better go get Madi in the bath and get ready to go out to DH's sister's party! Yay what fun - NOT!
