Hello,

I am looking for advice regarding obstetricians in the Melbourne area. We are pregnant for the first time and live in the Essendon area. My local GP has recommended the following obs
- Dr Peter England
- Dr Grant Saffer
- Dr Nicholas Yule

I am feeling very confused and would love to hear about your experiences. I am also wondering about the differences between the Freemasons and Frances Perry house. Any recommendations would really be appreciated.

Thanks:p

I went to Frances Perry and was with Dr Huon O'Sullivan...I couldnt recommend him highly enough!!!!!

I SERIOUSLY LOVED HIM!...lol

Frances perry was really good too, nurses were very helpful.

I gave birth at Freemason's - it was a great hospital! We have a large contingent of girls pregnant at work too and they have all used Freemason's (prob 12-13 of us) with only one bad experience to report.

My girlfriend used Peter England and was extremely happy and I have another using Grant Saffer and she is also really happy.

I used Dr Len Kliman - great doctor but unfortunately he had gone on holidays about 2 hours before I gave birth (DS came a wee bit early!) so Pregs Pilay delivered and he was great too.

Thanks Kirsten and Scout - I am starting to feel more informed. What a great way to get feedback. It is so difficult to get advice from friends when you are not ready to share the news yet. So glad I found this site - thanks again.
