Ok so I know we have all discussed previously how tired we are but is anybody feeling so exhausted that they seem to not be able to do their normal daily things? For the last couple of days I am exhausted. Today is the worst. I had a nap but it didnt seem to help. I feel like I am gonna pass out. I saw my Ob today and I should have asked him to test my iron levels, do you guys think that maybe I could have low iron? Or is this normal pregnancy stuff? I dont remember being so exhausted with DS but my preg with him was awhile ago now....

I remember in my last pregnancy feeling tired in my 3rd trimester towards the end, when I felt big and heavy.
With this pregnancy I have felt very tired all the way through and since I found out around 5 weeks I have been taking Elevit. Perhaps I'm different now, because I have a 20mth toddler to run after. I have had low iron in the past, but not according to my last blood test.

Pebbles, its always worth asking to have your blood tested, in case its iron or some other deficiency.
Also are you taking any supplements? Good luck and hope it improves. Also get plenty of rest when you can and try to do a little exercise if you can and eat a balanced diet, its all meant to help.

Hi,

I have been REALLY exhausted as well. Last Saturday I fainted, and then slept all day (I mean 24 hours!!) on Sunday.

I had been taking a preg. multi-vitamin, but have also started taking Fefol on the advice of my OB to up my intake of iron and folic acid. Voila!! Four days of energy and no nausea! I think I was pretty low in iron, so definately it's woth checking out.

Hope it gets better for you soon!

I am so tired as well. I have to have a 3 hour afternoon nap every day when my DD sleeps. But I am still waiting for the 2nd trimester energy boost, which will hopefully kick in soon :smiliedance:

Thanks girls. Nice to see I am not alone. I am taking Elevit when I remember and when I can keep them down!
I am going to go to my GP and get my iron tested some time this week.
I am also hoping that energy boost they keep talking about in all the books that your meant to get in 2nd trimester will come soon! Hasnt come yet...

I agree!!! I mean, I used to come home from work and feel 'tired' before pregnancy, but this is ridiculous!!!! Im usually in bed by 9:30 which is very unusual for me! I hope this tiredness ends soon! PS: Is anyone staying away for most of the night with thinking/drinking???? Maybe thats why Im so tired?
