It was weird. We had talked about it and got some ideas, and he was trying to explain the wings, and then got up, asked where all my material was, and started cutting and sewing - he said that it was easier than him trying to explain it! He even had to rethread the machine (he didnt need help!!) and did a really good job... I didnt even know he could use the machine at all, its a good thing to know ;)

Bek it looks great! I was going to do the toy story one but couldn't find toy story anything anywhere so gave up! So now I'm doing a Priscilla one :D It's not very outlandish though - I do want something wearable ;)

Fantasic Bekkyboo! Very creative.

You could add some peices of long elastic attached to your boyes wrists so the wings stick out when he moves his hands.
Or have you put stiff material in it?

Its a fleece pocket....

The wings are stiffened up by scrap material, so they would be a little stiff for the moving with G's hands i think...

I have big plans but no time :no: Lachlan has been really sick with a tummy bug, it's his first birthday on Sunday, but I'm not sure if we should cancel the party or not, and my house still needs tidying and I have to make the cake and AAARRGGH or cancel because I'm not sure if he will be well enough for all the hoop la anyway:gloomy:

OK the party was cancelled due to the birthday being too sick for a party so I had all day to create and I gotta say I am well impressed with myself :D

I haven't finished the nappt part yet but today I made a Buzz costume to go with the buzz nappy. It's soooo cool considering I no kind of pattern or anything I was just going by what Buzz looks like. Anyway Noah LOVES it :smiliedance:

Oky Doky I've done it. :p

The nappy is a snap in AI2, I'll post inside pics once I've finished the matching insert, at the moment it has one from a different nappy so Noah can wear it.

It is made from Malden Mills windpro outer, with minky lining. The snap in insert is hemp topped with minky.

Buzz was appliqued on from a curtin fabric I found in SL, and I made the tabs to look like mini wings.

The Buzz wings have elastic between the wings and the breast plate so the can go over any item of clothing. They have elastic loops at the wrists so he can spread his wings and fly. He has vegemite marks on it already because he has been wearing it ever since I made it :p When Noah first put it on, he pressed the buttons and said "mummy broken :( " because they didn't talk like buzz' buttons LOL

Postie finally arrived with my order from the bamboo fabric store ( the american one) so I have lush velour and double sided bamboo terry and fleece again thank goodness! I was running out of all the good stuff. Also waiting on snaps- order more colours so I can finish my sew off entry as well. ( not that I have a hope- check out hoopdedoo's DEVINE entry!)

Yay... I have finally finished my entry. Its an AIO with 3 layers hempbooster sewn onto a full layer of hemp and a hidden layer of PUL, with a 3 layer hemp fold out booster.


Its a Priscilla nappy too (If you couldnt guess:laughing: )
