Just wanted to make a recommendation to new and expectant mums looking at buying a playmat/gym for their bubs:
My bub (5 months) got a BRUIN playmat and gym from Toys r Us for chrissie and loves it - it was $30, the mat is 1m x 1m, the gym part has 2 different levels of toys and is not attached to the mat at all so can be moved easily. THe mat has crinkly elephant ears, squeaking bits, a mirror, different textures, etc and is great by itself, and the playgym part has heaps of different toys/activities on it. What a bargain!
I have a Tinylove Gymini Super Deluxe ($90) that he has almost outgrown which was great when he was v. young but now is too big for - the toys hang too low, and it's a hassle to keep taking the gym part off and on. Had I known about this Bruin one, I would only have had it for bub.
What gyms do you have and why are they good/bad?
