Im a bit confused as in my head im thinkin 4 kids is soooo many. people will stare at me!
but my partner also says we dont have enough room only a small 3 bedroom house and we dont have a big enogh car we have 2 i have small brand new car 2 years old and he has 5 seater 4wd.
which means id have to sell my car which would seem hard and i only got it 2 years ago .
we would deffinetly have to get a bigger car there would be no two ways about it!

Hi im kim and i'm 26 with 3 children aswell i don't really notice people looking anymore and i would love to have 1 more am in the processing of trying to make that happen. I say it is entirely up to you and your partner if its what you really want go for it everyone else should mind there own business. Good luck with whatever you decide
I'm 24 and have a 5 month old, but hubby and I started trying when I was 21, planning on having at least 3 before I hit 30, then a few more ;)
We want at least 4, and haven't ruled out 6 or more! We know people will have negavive attitudes about it but its our life, our choice, and I wouldn't let the number of seats in my car dictate the size of my family:D
If you want a big family don't let trivial cr@p like the number of seats in the car or what other people think put you off, most of those people in the street you will never see again, and even if its new now, you may not always have that car!
Make the decision based on the IMPORTANT factors!
hi :) i think your desire to have another child shouldnt be influenced by what others may think. between us my dh and i have 4 and i am 27. some of my family sometimes make jokes and stuff, but they can blow it out their bums!!:D we love our little family, sure we may not have as much money and possessions as some, but our house is filled with love laughter and sticky little fingerprints, which is what i think life is all about! good luck to you, whatever you decide :)

Hello All
I know that look!!! my hub and I use to get it when we had our first child; we were in our late teens, by the time I was 22 we had 3 boys and the look got worse.
I felt dirty and worthless... BUT now I look back and smile with delight at those poor selfish soles who have nothing better to do.
We now have 4 boys are possibly thinking of extending our family to maybe having one more, we have always wanted a big family and it suits us, we look funny as my 8 year old is about 2- 3 inches shorter than me, and I am only 27 and my husband is 26 we have been together for almost 10 yrs and married for 4. We live in a 3 bedroom home and only have 1 car a 4wd, (thankfully my husband rides a motorbike to work). And this works ok for us at times we wish we had more room but when we can afford to we will.......
So why not, children give the most adoring and honest love, they are pure and truthful and NOTHING in this world can beat that , not even all the 'bad looks'.;)

So many good points ! we have been together for 9 years
i know i shouldnt let things like that get in the way! possesions like our cars and stuff! but it does play a big factor! steve is really worried about it more so than me! and the money factor!
but something funny happend yesterday Steve said yesterday i might have to think of getting a bigger car when the kids are a bit bigger cause they will be to squashed ! and then they were aguing and i said yep that bigger car sounds good he then said youll have to get the little dickie seats in the back to keep them off your back!
sounds good!
thanks you all have made me feel alot better with your true words!:)
glad to have helped savina :) look forward to seeing you around some more :)
I have 6 kids, we have a 5bed house, but one is a study the other is a junk room, so we have 4 boy share one room, one boy has his own and the girl is in with us (shes almost 2) i'm 32 ;)

I think you should stick out your tongue at people who stare at you... but maybe they are looking because you are a yummy mummy?

Hi,
Don't worry about what other people say. If you want another child go for it. I have just had my fifth child in November and I am planning to try for another one in Feb 2007. I am not worried what other people think. I am used to all the comments that people give me when I take my tribe out. I got another one today when someone asked me if they were all mine and I said yes, and that is with one less child who was with his pop. I could of easily been rude to her but I just walked away from her, before she could say something else.

I used to get the looks all the time, but I don't get it as much anymore, that or I am just so used to them now
I had my first when I was 15, second at 19 and am TTC # 3 and we are both 22 (23 later this year).
Nothing makes me smile more than looking at my two beautiful girls and I think to myself "How can we stop now, think of how many more wonderful children we could have" ;)

Hi
Currently i have two, and i am 22, we are planning on ttc around August this year. So i will be 23 and have 3 children. I don't care what people think, as long as the kids have love!
The only thing that worries me about having another one, my girls are a handful. (3 and 2) but hopefully if i have another one Mikayla will be an old mother hen like she is with her cousin!
i am really loving all these women agreeing with the way i think!
i actually dont feel left out im fitting right in.
i say bring on all the beautiful children!
Mel dont worry to much i have a big gap between my middle girl whos nearly 7 and kynan who just urned 1 and my eldest is almost 8 and my daughter is a mother hen maybe because shes the only girl im not sure !:) but we all fit in just fine !
id like to have another baby a 4th a little more closer to kynans age maybe a 2 year age gap as there is 14 mths between my eldest 2 and there close like twins !
another girl would be perfect but id probably have a boy! and be a huge 10ponder as there getting bigger each time that scares me ! ouch!

Hi there I'm 30 and my gfs 27 and we're cookin number 4 :) kids are the most precious gift in the world and if you can be generous to yourself go for it :D I'm told its snip time for me now though
i want a boy this time around, i think i would be disppointed if i had another girl.
I thought the same, and I did have a *glimmer* of disappointment when the ultrasound showed another girl. But now my little Immy is here I couldn't imagine it any other way!
I also have 3 kids and I'm 26 (nearly 27) and plan on finishing having my kids by the time I'm 30 (at this rate I could squeeze another couple in! :D )
I think we'll start trying again later this year for #4 (We have to try and get our little 'Connor Andrew'!)
I also get lots of comments when I'm out and about as well. Mostly they're good comments like, oh how sweet, 3 gorgeous little girls etc etc, but I also get the funny looks from people and get asked are they all yours? People are also shocked I think because they don't think I look 26!
I say, don't worry what people think - my mum didn't want to be a grandmother at the age of 50 - but TUFF! That was my choice to make! Now she couldn't be happier!

I say "got for it" there is nothing better in this world then more babies, you dont want to regret it later in life when your time is up:rolleyes: things will work out, they always do. I would love to have 4 kids, unfortunatly i only have the 1 as my dp whats more space betwwen kids even though my ds is 2 and a half!! Thats why im sabortarging the condoms:eek:
Oh Jen you're terrible! :D (I'd probably do the same but thankfully hubby & I are on the same wave length!)
More than 3 kids by 26? Well if i have my way i hpe so:eek: We have 3 girls at the moment 3.5, 2 & 9 mths & i had our last DD before my 24th b'day. I would love to have one more too (a boy would be great but another princess would be just as terrific). Yep i too get lost of comments - you have your hands full etc.. i tend to just smile & keep on moving...it doesn't matter what others think are they looking after them?...
My mum too didnt really want to be a nanna at 42 but now i cant get my girls away from her  . Our parents have always been supportive (especially when i'm pregnant & tired! )
Go for it i say....hopefully DH will come around a little more in the next few weeks too! ....keep you updated:D
Hi everyone. Anna your comments cracked me up for 2 reasons! My mum had 5 girls before she got her boy & secondly I made her a grandma at 38!! haha
Ok better introduce myself, my name is carissa, I am 25 and just had baby number 3! I had 2 with my ex-husband, he was so angry we were having a second (one of the many reasons we broke up!) I am now with a wonderful man & I now have 3 kiddies & I dont plan on stopping there & neither does Rob! Im from a family of 8 & he is one of 7 but we plan on only having 3 more. My bubbas have been 8lb11, 10lb3 and my latest edition was 9lb 2 weeks early!!
I do get alot of comments & looks but I couldnt care less, im extremly happy with my decision, people call me crazy but we just have alot of love to give & the more the merrier in our books!
I think people should have babies if they want & not let narrow minded people stop them.

Im Hoping Ill Be A Mother Of A Large Family I Just Love Being A Mum!
Ive Settled For When We Get Our Own House We Can Have Another Baby As We Would B Settled With 4 Rooms:) :)
Hi, just thought I would let you know that I am 35 & have seven gorgeous children, I have had nine fantastic children in 12 years...My oldest being 12 down to my youngest being nearly 2 & Baby due in June !!! Six gorgeous girls & one handsome son..& of cause a mystery bundle due !!! Lost a little one that had Spina Bifida:( .. Yes when Hubby & I take the kids out there is the stares, comments, the counting of the kids heads as we walk past & the endless "DO WE KNOW WHAT CAUSES IT YET" BUT nothing would make me change my mind on our beautiful family...Each one is a blessing & such a delight MOST of the time..
My Husband always said that we could have six BUT THANKFULLY the other children & I persuaded him for another two !!! Dont like my chances of No nine though:confused:..We have a great car that holds 8 people & I think we still look fairly trendy !!!!!I say GO FOR IT as I know you will never regret it !!!! And I know when you are in that delivery room again & just delivered your No 4 your Husband will be one of the proudest DADS on earth !!!
Good Luck.....
you touched me !
your so right its funny how they say no more kids but they melt down and are so proud when you have just given birth to that little person and they hold them for the first time !
now speaking i know he wouldnt change it for the world and has said hed love another one if we had the room
i understand were your coming from and it is very expensive to raise them !
iand thats sounds like a good idea to get your baby fix that way! um maybe something i should do ! id love that!;)
were renting to and my mil started a home day care not long ago unfortunatelty this didnt work out for hwer!

lovely to hear of so many young/younger mums with large families! :D
I'm 20 having my 3rd/our 4th (60% custody of stepson :) ) So we will soon have 4 children aged 4 and under! I'm a bit scared about the age gap this time as its likely to only be 10 months with Savannah coming a bit early! Its going to be great though with two of each and each so close. The boys fight a lot but they do get along great, when we go to playcentres and parks and even to friends places they really stick together like best buddies which is lovely! They're just starting to include other children when they're playing together too which is good! I'm sure the girls will be inseperable too in a couple of years :D

After reading about all you wonderful ladies I couldnt let this post go unanswered, my opinion is who cares what anyone else thinks of my family as long as DH the kids and I are all happy, what does it matter about anyone elses opinion, mind you I get given others opinions far too often but most of the time I try and ignore them, at 25 I was PG with no.5 and I am now 31 expecting no.8 in sept and couldnt be happier, if you want another one go for it!!!!
your sooooo right we are going for it i cant imagine letting this oportunity pass me by! as soon as i get the all clear from dp thogh!
I would like to have a large family too:D Would mean having a new car and house though - we'll see how we go! I would like at least 4 I think.
I wanted to have all my kids by age 30, but I dont think that will happen seeing as I'll be nearly 29 when this one is born:eek: 29 OMGosh! I could be pregnant with twins I suppose! That would be cool (I think.......)
Maybe I'll say before I'm 31!
SAVINA, whereabouts in Brissie are you?
