Catching up on first Hep B shot???

Hi

Just a question for those who chose not to have the initial newborn hep b shot. My GP has told me recently that I will need to catch this up at about 8 months. I didnt think I would have to and Im a little confused????

She is normally very thorough and open minded generally if she didn't think it was needed she wouldnt suggest it. I would appreciate others advice on this

The thing to do would be to look up the manufacturer of that particular vaccine, and find out how many shots of it they recommend.

Your doctor may well have the wrong end of the stick, it is a very confusing topic. And generally the allopathic medical community would rather give one extra shot than "risk" giving one less.
