Hi all
I have been really sick with morning sickness or should I say all day sickness, I was thinking about asking my boss to reduce my work hours from 8am-5pm to about 8am-3.30ish, I know its only a hour and half but I know it would make a big difference, what does everyone think?? Do you think I should ask because Im only finding that most days I have to leave early anyway due to being so sick!!

acroning, I have had all day sickness just like you. It has been shocking. At 9 weeks I gave them my notice and have been feeling heaps better. I dont know if it is because of less stress and more time to eat or just a coincidence. Either way, if it is going to make you feel better, why not change the hours.

yeah I guess I could always ask and see what they say, the only thing is I do Reception work and job share with 2 other girls, and I will feel guilty if I ask to leave early, I think when it comes down to it I have to think about me right now hey!! I just think its all very stressfull having to deal with things like ms and work!

I suffered all day sickness working full time too. It's tough, I know. I used to find myself crying in the bathroom sometimes. I was just so sick of being sick all the time.

Ask your boss if you can reduce your hours, it's worth a try. It may only be for a couple of weeks if your lucky. :fingerscrossed:

Do what you need to do, this is the time to take care of yourself and bub. I was also in a similar situation with my first pregnancy and my boss was an absolute wicked witch. So I asked my GP to write a letter stating that in the interests of my well being and that of the baby's, that my work hours should be reduced until such a time that I feel capable of resuming full time hours, if at all. It worked a treat and I felt so much relief, in more ways than one.

Hi there I know how you feel! i used to try sneaking snacks to over come my all day sickness with dd1 I ended up leaving my job as there was no light duties for me. I was prescribed maxalon tablets and I swear I was eating them like lollies.

With dd2 I found out I was pregnant at 18weeks no morning sickness at all.

New bun in the oven I have felt sick a few times I have maxalon to take as per need. Found out I was pregnant when I was admitted to hospital with a viral infection a few weeks back.I find keeping very hydrated is helping me alot.

goodluck with the :barf::fingerscrossed: you find something to ease it for you.

With makaila i had morning sickness from 3 weeks and even in labour i was working as a manager in retail so it was long hours i ended up cutting back to part time and that was still hard so at 5 1/2 months i ended and it was the best thing i could of done. i tried maxalon and also another tablet but i couldnt not be sick for long enough for it to work. so if you can do it finacially i would say go for it, it is worth it for the sack of you and your baby
