Hi,
Just thought I would start a thread to see what our little ones are up to.
Jasmine is very independent. Loves to do everything her self. She loves to draw and play with her dollys.
Her favourite programs are play school and puzzle play.
She is a little chatter box and speaks in 3 or 4 word sentences a lot of the time now.
We are toilet training atm. Its a bit of hit and miss most of the time. Sometimes she is good and other times she just wees on the floor.
Her birthday is on the 26th April. She is getting some new dolls and a sandpit from us.
Jasmines stats -
Weight - 10.4kg
Height - 84cm
Looking forward to hearing about other little ones in this age group.

Xavier turned two last week ( Born 10th April 2005).
He is an absolute terror! I swear he had his birthday then turned into a monster over night!
He is very physically able and will be a great sports person one day no doubt. He is more interested in physical rough and tumble play than he is in puzzles etc.
He loves reading though and his vocab is expanding rapidly day by day but he doesn't always speak in sentences unless it's "I want a ( fill in the gap)..........." lol!!
We bought him a huge trampoline with safety nets for his birthday and he loves it, spends everyday on it jumping like a Kangaroo!
Thought we might have been ready for toilet training a couple of months back when he started taking his nappies off all the time when he was wet but he has stopped there and shows no interest in going to potty or toilet.
Although I have to admit I have been slack in the last few weeks and haven't been encouraging him much with it. Been busy with preparing for new bubs due in July and work etc. Will give him a go when he wakes this arvo and see how we go!
Xavier's Stats:
He currently weighs just under 12kgs and is about 87cms tall I think, will have to check on that one!

he does wees and poos occasionally has an accident with wees but thats not very often
thats all i can think of for now lol
happy 2nd birthday for all the birthdays that are coming up and have been alread :smiliedance:
Layla will be 2 on the 11th May. She weighs around 10kgs and I am not sure how tall, but tall nonetheless.
She too is a terror and likes to try and push the boundaries and defies me all the time. She is also a fan of scratching mummy and choosing selective hearing.
I haven't really thought about presents yet but she is getting a big girl bed of my mum and dad.
She is starting to speak 2-3 word sentences every now and then and her vocab is growing every day. As for toilet training, she showed interest, then she stopped, then she started again so I don't really know what is going on. She is being encouraged at day care also so that helps me out too!
Happy Birthday to all those with upcoming birthdays and belated wishes to those who already have had theirs!

jessica is 2 on ANZAC day. shes my little trooper hehehe.
she is 12.9kg and last time she was measured was 84cm.
for her birthday next week:eek: we are going to the beach, like we do everyyear on the 25th. i'll probably end up sitting on the same bench where my waters broke 2 years ago. lets hope it doenst happen agian this year tho hehehe.
she can speak in full sentences, knows most of her ABC's and can count to 20. she can also sing quite a few songs. incy wincy spider being her favourite atm.
her favourite thing to say is "i love you this much" with her arms spread out as far as she can.
she is very cheeky and has had a few beauty tantrumes. she gets frustrated easily too, which i think she might get off her mummy:rolleyes:
everyday jessica makes me proud. i lov ethe fact that she is always learning nes things, adn is constantly surprizing us.
for her birthday we got the kids a cubby house. it was for both of their birthdays actually, so she will get somthing small to unwrap on her special day,, but that was the main present.
its just so hard to believe how fast time has gone. she was just a baby last time i looked, adn now shes a little girl. you blink and you almost miss it.
happy birthday to all of the other new and soon to be 2 yr olds!!!! hope you ahev a great day!!

My little man is 2 on the 18th May (1 month to go )... He's the light of my life and I cant believe how quick the time has gone...
He's a very active little man and definitely knows what he wants... He makes sure you know it too... He is going through the shyness with strangers and if he is not in a good mood, nobody can talk to him... He starts head butting everything - not fun...
He doesn't really talk a lot but definitely understands whats being said/asked of him... He loves Hi-5 and the wiggles and recently he's been getting into play school and other programs on the ABC...
He's about 14kg, but not sure how tall...
Haven't organised his birthday yet, better get my butt into gear...
Happy birthday to all the 2 years olds...

My dd is pretty shy too. If someone talks to her she turns the other way and she won't even look at them.
Sounds like our kidlets are all pretty similar.

Happy Birthday to all the 2year olds coming up in the next few weeks!!
Well after I posted yesterday that said I would get the potty out ( I hadn't tried it in a month or so as he wasn't interested at all then) I got it out yesterday and he he has done two wees in it since yesterday, woohoo!!
So he must all of a sudden be ready, I couldn't for the life of me get him to even sit on it a month ago and now he thinks it very cool to do weewees on the potty lol!! Though his third attempt today kinda wasn't the best aim and most of it ended up on the floor!
We'll get there slowly...........:fingerscrossed:

How exciting for you. Jasmine was like that too and wouldn't even sit on the potty but she would tell me that she wanted to wee and then do it on the floor.
I bought her a wee dolly on the weekend. We sit dolly on the potty and put the bottle in its mouth and it wees in the potty. Dolly gets big yays and big hugs then.:D
Since yesterday Jasmine has done 3 wees and 2 poos on her potty. Hopefully she will keep it up.:fingerscrossed:

Brion is 2 on the 30th May.
He is very hand eye coordinated, likes doing things with his hands, but isn't a big talker. In fact he doesnt talk at all - I am getting his hearing and speech checked just to be safe.
he is stilla monster - tantrums are coming into full swing, but he is also the most lovable little man and has days where all he wants to do is give his Mum cuddles!
He is still very big for his age, weighing almost 17kgs now, and is about 3 foot 1. He is also cutting his last set of molars, and then we are done with teething! Til this lot falls out anyway!

Isn't it great that teething is nearly over. Jasmine is on her last 2yr old molar now. Thank goodness. She was a horrible teether!

I am loving it!He got his first set at 18months (molars that is) and they gave him hell. This 2nd lot of molars have been better - but when you combine it with tantrums it can drive you insane!
