View Full Version : How do you tell the difference
How do you tell the difference between wool and acrylic??? I did read it somewhere and now I can't find it anywhere. I just melt some "stuff" that I found and it melted into itself and once it have brunt, when I touched it it crunched up very easily, like charcoal.

acrylic should melt like plastic, not dissolve, at least thats how you tell with fabric. I'm assuming wool would be the same?

wool is a flame retardent, it shouldnt burn, acrylic would melt and burn...
I just went and tried to burn some of my wool and I had so much trouble. So I guess the "stuff" I found is acrylic. Thank you.
