I have had fluid leaking out of my breasts since about 24 or 25 weeks pg and just tonight I've realised that both breasts are leaking DIFFERENT stuff... Just wondering if anyone can answer a couple of milky questions for me?

(.) L
This stuff is clear and fluidy liquid - LOTS of it!

(.) R
This stuff is whitish yellow and kind of thick

Can anyone help???

boobies are weird... esp when preggers, and after birth...lol.
Get used to it...ha ha ha!

It's just colostrum... both sides. Do't know why they are different colours/consistancies, but mine leaked both kinds, but were at the same time... maybe you're just a freeeeeak!!!

That explains everything

Krisseh - thats what I'm thinking it is - a mixture of colostrum and foremilk. Do you think its normal for foremilk to come this early? Or is it a different kind of milk that comes later?

Al, i don't think it's too early... when i was trying to induce myself into labour, i waas suing a breast pump, and I tell ya, I was getting about 40mls out of each boob!, and it was watery kinda stuff, but the stuff taht leaked during the day was yellowish and thicker... hope this helps, but i assure you, it'a all relatively 'normal' (despite the pointing of fingers and the 'freeeeak!' comments...pmsl!)

Just be sure to wear breast pads while out or you could get a lil embarressed!:o

No I don't think so.

I think it is important to feed as often as possible after birth, try and get bub to the breast immediately after birth, feed often... this will help. I don't think pumping while preggers get a supply... I just did it as I was overdue (or nearing due date) and was trying to cause contractions.... it worked but my cervix did nothing (needed drugs for that...lol)
