ds is still sick

hi ds (6mths) is still throwing up has been for nearly two weeks been to the doctors 3 times now and the first two said he had gastro but today finally they got me to get a stool sample. hopefully it comes back with some answers as to why. they have said that he is perfectly hydrated. but he is constantly puking. the poor thing, and poor me i got covered today incl through the hair!! charming. any ideas anyone :crying:

I can't give you any solutions but I hope you're little man is feeling better soon. I know it can be quite stressful when something is visibly wrong and you can't help them. :hugs: Hope your Dr can sort it all out for you.

is he on anti biotics? that was making my son throw up

He could be lactose intolerant.

My Ds pukes lots after yoghurt and milk based things.

We decided to tey lactose free yog and he is fine

Should have known though...it runs in my DH family...gotta love genesLOL

my ds is sick also now i give him water and milk makes him :barf: so he has a temp i just give him nurofen.

Yeah, it could be lactose intolerance, or a gastro bug. I guess if nothing comes back from the doc you could ask him if he thinks it is lactose intolerance???

Poor bubs, and poor you! My son had dioreah for a week and it was very tiring for us both. I cant imagine what three weeks of throwing up would be like!

I hope he is better soon :)

he is already on soy formula so cant be that. i am fanatical about what he eats as i have coeliacs disease which means no wheat. i make most of his food myself so i know whats in it. its getting very messy.
he is sleeping more than he ever has the poor thing is so tired. he only lasts about an hour to hour and half then has to have a sleep during the day. this is from only having 2 -3 sleeps a day. (not complaining about the sleeping)
i just hope something comes back to help him.

update on ds
results of stool sample all clear, so that rules out gastro. had to go see the dr again and i insisted i have a referral for a pediatrician which he gave me and he has also requested an ultrasound on his tummy to see if that might give some answers, so i will book the pediatrician for after the ultrasound (he already has a booking for a hip ultrasound for tuesday hope we can get in then)
so at the moment we are no wiser as to what is causing him to :barf:everything but i am sure we will get there.

jordan still has his ultrasound for his hip on tuesday but have to go to adelaide next monday for the tummy u/s because the stupid place wont do it. the womens and childrens hospital is booked out until july!!! not many places will ultrasound babies stomachs. then we have the pediatrician appmt next tuesday so at least i can have all the results when we go there. he seems a little better today but no way am i cancelling any appointments.
