hemp question

i know it sounds silly but do i pre-wash hemp ?

i got some today and want to start sewing asap, but i need to know if i need to wash it first

sure do. on hot it shrinks a little

Hemp loves being washed and the more you do, the more absorbent it becomes. I wash mine about 5 times before cutting and sewing.
