I attempted to make my own nappy the other day and it did not work. My mum told me that with the PUL the plastic feeling side of it goes closest to the skin and the fabric feeling side goes on the outer. Now that doesn't seam right to me. Should I do it the other way around or do it the way my mum said????

Other thing, I want to make some covers for DS2 and I was wondering if 2 layers of the polar fleece from spotlight would work???

TIA

Don't you find that the PUL sticks to the sewing machine or do you have the PUL facing up?

I do find it's a bit 'tacky', yes - I just make sure I'm helping it along under the foot ;)

If you sprinkle a bit of baby powder on the PUL it won't stick to the presser foot.

Mine does make a tacky sound, but doesnt stick.... You can just hear it piercing the fabric.

And as Zada said, the two layers of fleece will work :) I have 1 that is one layer and is also working fine.
