whats the go with my period????

Hi all can anyone tell me if Im supposed to be still getting my period?
Im breastfeeding my 11week old daughter and on the mini pill.
It took three weeks on the pill for my bleeding to finally stop all together (I bled for 8weeks after the birth) then just when I thought that everything was over BANG its started up again today? a couple of weeks after?
Im just so confused... am I supposed to have a regular period on this mini pill?

Please help if you know....

With DS I bled for 6 weeks, then got my period back as per normal after that. I too was on the mini pill..... I did however stop b/f after 6 weeks!:confused:

The mini-pill doesn't regulate your periods like the sequential or combined pills do.

If you usually have an irregular cycle when not taking oral contraceptives, then you will have an irregular cycle on the mini-pill.

I breastfed both babies, and I had no period for over 12 months after having DD#1, and I was taking the mini-pill. After DD#2, I had no period for 6 months.

i had this too- i am not on the mini pill though- but like you i was dismayed to get my period back at 8 weeks even though i am exclusively breastfeeding. a girlfriend of mine didnt get hers back until 12 months! some people have all the luck:)
