Hi
My 3mth old is on S26 Reflux formula and has been alot more settled with her feeding since, except when the teat clogs up and she can't get anything out until I make the teat bigger with a fork prong or needle!!
I'm using fast flow pur teats, the old style, and my hubby has even tried making the holes bigger with a red hot needle! It lasted for a few feeds but they now clog up again!
So does anyone here use this formula and if so what teats do you use? I've already spent a fortune on teats so I want to buy something that will work!
I hope someone can help :fingerscrossed:
Thanks

I had no problem at all with the fast flow teats for the avent bottles, DD1 would only take to Avent bottles until she was a bit older. HTH

Hi Jodi,
My 2nd set of twins, 1 of them had really bad reflux, I used S26AR formula and found it really good. I used fast flow NUK teats. They worked really well. She still uses them now with cows milk. Check do u make up the milk with warm water or cold? it may not all dissolve properly, it has been nearly a year for me so I cannot remember, but it is made up differently than normal formula - I think. Hopefully that works for u but if not zantac liquid medicine works wonders. A doctor needs to prescribe it, but it instantly relieves the burning in their digestive track that causes the poor babies much discomfort. Hope this helps, it worked for us. Best of luck, let me know how you get on.
Bye from Megan.

Thanks Megan........I warm the water first and then add the formula..come to think of it I remember reading on the tin to let the water cool completely, perhaps this is why I'm having problems  I'll try not warming the water next bottle and see how I go, otherwise I'll try the nuk teats.

Thanks Jessgray, I'll keep them in mind. Do you know what brand of teats or would any variflow teat work?

get a knife and cut a bigger hole in the teat or an X in the teat  If that doesn't work buy the ones suggested

Problem solved..........thanks Megan
I reread the tin and it says very clearly, cooled boiled water. I thought this was just for safety reasons (so ppl don't give their bubs water that is too hot) but then I also read that this formula needs special mixing!! I feel pretty silly :p
Have been struggling with feeds for about a month now!! Made last bottle up on cold water and no probs :D
Thanks every 1 for your help
