Bub clenches fists

Hi all, my bub who is 4 months clenches his fists all the time. He can grab hold of toys & plays with them- but when his hands are free they are clenched, even during tummy time.Does anyone have any answers or when he will grow out of this?

I suspect it is something he will grow out of. Most infants spend most of their time with clenched fists. So long as he's opening them to reach for things he's likely ok. I'm no expert though.

Yeah he sounds pretty normal!!

My DD was always so rigid and had her fists clenched. She is now 16 months and grew out of it. Sorry, but I don't know how old she was, it was pretty late though, drove me nuts for ages!
