Lentil recipes

Hi gals. If u have recipes with lentils, chickpeas, kidney beans etc. Could u share them here when u have a bit of time. Thanks.

I dont really cook from recipes, but here are some ideas....

Try chucking some red lentils in with pasta sauces...mmmmm! (then have it with wholemeal pasta...bliss)

Add them to soups..

Add a tin of chickpeas to your salad..

Make lentil patties or burgers

Add lentils or chickpeas to curries

Make lentil and vege samosas....

i used to make lentil and chickpea patties with a falafel mix, heaps of vegies, potato, carrot, brocooli, etc cut fine, corn peas etc, mushrooms, EVERYTHING!! Grate most of it together add your own spices usually you dont need any though! You can add an egg if you like as well to bond it better, then fry them up bbq or pan!

These are so Yum and too easy plus you can freeze them make a big batch for other nights :) I will get my recipe for exact measurements but usually i just throw it all in and mix till it looks right

How do i make lentil patties?

I just cook up and mash whatever takes my fancy - carrot, potato, sweet potato, corn, rice, lentils, ANYTHING goes, its fun coming up with different combos, then I add some spices to taste...then fry them up in olive oil, I just shallow fry in a pan.

I do a nacho bake with kidney beans, 500g lentls, tinned tomatos and chilli powder. Put doritos in a bottom of a baking dish, cover with the wet mix (make sure theres no excess liquid or itll make the chips soggy) top with cheese and bake for 10-15 mins.
