Hi,
We are planning to conceive our third child at the end of this year. I'm 41 and have a 6 year old and a 1 year old.
I'm getting a few strange comments from people (friends) that may think I shouldn't do it but I'm looking on bubhub for some positive encouragement. When I think about it, I've been a late bloomer all my life and why should this be any different?
Congrats, i hope it all goes well for you :D I hope you find some support here from others that have had children in their 40's :D
Don't let others interfere with your plans, this happened to me although it was a different situation.. my son is autistic and they all feared the worse when i told them i wanted another baby. but now we have just found out that i'm pregnant again and they are over the moon :smiliedance: i say go for it and good luck with concieving #3

Good on you. Just go for it as it's no one else's business really. I had my first child three months ago at the age of 41 so I must really be a late bloomer. Luckily, everyone I knew was really happy for me. Although I had trouble conceiving (tried for three years) I had a great pregnancy with no morning sickness which I attribute to the herbs the naturopath gave me and now have a beautiful healthy baby boy.
Also my mum had her last baby, my younger brother, at 42. He's now 31. Lots of people have babies later in life and I've never heard of anyone regretting it. Good luck!

Thankyou so much for the words of encouragement. It means a lot to me that I can get some positive words of encouragement.
Thanks :)
I had my 3rd baby last year a month before my 41st birthday. She wasn't exactly planned but very wanted. I got quite a bit of negativity from various people including my MIL who refered to the possibility that I could have a special needs child! Of course there isn't anything wrong with Stella who is meeting all her milestones early anyway!
Don't worry about what anyone says - it's not their family. It's such a privledge to have a little baby in your family. Good luck.
Best wishes
