I was just wondering if i could get a particular type of beer sent over to me from NZ to Australia...

I really wanna do something thoughtful for dp..

And he loves this particular type of beer from his own country..

I Dont know the legalities of it though..

Anyone help me out here....

Try emailing or phoning these (http://www.kiwifinefoods.com.au/) people. They used to have beer, but I'm not sure if they do now.

You can get almost anything couriered to you :thumbsup:

You can get someone to bring it through Duty Free and buy it at the duty free stores over there and bring it over, so you should be able to import it.

My nanna just came over this week. If only we had known she couldve grabbed some for ya.

So I wanna get him some as he misses home sometimes...

go to beerstore.com.au, search for beers from NZ and it is there,
sorry i could not tell you that earlier, i didnt know the web address :o, but i was kindly reminded by my uncle at 4:30am !!!!!

Yep Speights is the best bud (but I am a southalnder so grew up on the stuff!).
I have actually seen it in bottle stores here. Can't remember where but there are some around that stock NZ and other international beers.
Hope you can get some for your hubby from that Website, he would LOOOOOOOOOVE you for it lol!!!

Just make sure that he still likes that beer...as SIL found out with DH...
SIL and her partner came over for christmas to spend some time with DS as a newborn, DH asked her to bring a six pack of Lion Red as he used to like it when he was living in NZ and was looking forward to it...He had a sip and found out he did not like it as much anymore...needless to say he copped an earful from SIL about her having to lug around a six pack and now DH wont even drink it ... so he had to drink it... and DH doesnt like speights (that's the only beer they had on the flight over and he opted for coke :yes:)

Our local bottle store had some kiwi beers and got in some Monteiths Dark when Dh asked for it.

BTW, Speights stands for 'Superior P**s Enjoyed In Great Homes Throughout Southland'

.. but give a a Mac's Summer Blonde any day.

My local bottleshop has Speights so maybe you can also try calling a couple in your area :thumbsup:
