Unsure ....

Hi all, new to this section ...

Last week I found out we were preg and it was so exciting ...

I had the usual bloods etc in which the Doc said were all good.

I have had some mild cramping over the last few days and just 'haven't felt right'. I had NO preg symptoms other than being really hot which I remember being with DS, but with DS I had Morning Sickness from very early on through till about 6 months ...

I went to the Doc last night to get my blood test results to send to the hospital and she booked me in for the usual 12 week scan etc and then asked if my periods were regular ... I said they used to be but since having DS (9 months old) I only had the 1 .. she checked my hcg (or hgc???) levels and said that according to that I would only be 2 weeks preg where my last period date said I should be 6 weeks ....

She then started saying that things don't look too good and since I have been having the cramps etc either ...

I felt so .... sick.

I am booked in for a scan on Tuesday - which seems a lifetime away, but I am sort or thinking it won't be good news. She thinks that I probably have had a MC - although I have had no bleeding etc ...

I don't know ... I feel really down and sad but then am trying to be positive as maybe I am just 2 weeks preg and all will be fine.

Has anyone gone through something simular ... I sort of am trying to expect the worst but also really want this bub ...

I know whats meant to be will be and all - but it's hard ...

So sorry you are going thru this MJ :hugs: Is there any chance that you could have your dates wrong? If you have irregular cycles you might not have O'd when you thought you did meaning that you couldn't go by your last AF. Since finding out (and before) I have had cramps on and off it's normal apparently. Big :hugs: to you I hope that everything is ok and that its just that you were wrong with your dates.

I have only had 1 AF since DS was born and that was 1 March, making me 6 weeks ... but like you said could be wrong?

I know I should just stop worrying and wait for my scan which is booked in for Wed ... it just seems like such a long time away ...

I never thought it would be this hard - being attached to something that I only found out about last week IYKWIM ...

Oh yeah I didn't think of that MJ. I just saw that your level was 188 that would be a great level if you were say around 4 weeks pg!! :yes: :fingerscrossed: for you. I hope the days fly by for you.

Hi MJ.

I have been in your situation, I can offer 2 sides for you...

When I m/c'd I actually had slight bleeding, but a scan showed me at only 4 weeks rather than the 6 I was expecting... I was told to wait another 2-3 weeks before I had another scan cause there would be no visable heartbeat until 6-8 weeks.
( I only waited 1 week before the bleeding really started)

This time, I only got a BFP 2 days ago. My last period was March 1, this would put my due date at 6 December.... But I know (due to charting etc) that I did not Ovulate until either day 20 or 29 rather than day 14 (2 temp rises not sure which was O) SO If I were to go to the Doctors now and tell them only my last period date, My HCG levels would be lower than they should be at 6 weeks, (because I really am only 4-5 weeks).

Honey If you have only had 1 AF since your bubs was born (are you still BF as well) I would not expect you to have a normal 14 day to O cycle..

I know It is hard -( I have been there) but do not panic yet, go back and have another BT in a few days to see if your HGC level has risen,

This is my story sounds a little similar to yours, I am pregnant and am alittle confused about how far along.

I have had no sickness, no real signs of pregnancy other than I have had blood tests and all is fine. I have had no cramping or bleeding either but feel all is still alright. I have irregular cycles as well but feel I could be two weeks less than the docs think I am. I also have a U/S next Thurs so like you am waiting. If there was no bleeding can it still be a miscarriage???

I reckon wait until your ultrasound, try not to worry though as I am in the same boat as you and know everything is alright because my 1st pregnancy was just like this no sickness and was 3 mths before I knew I was even pregnant I had no symptoms at all.

My last AF was 7 Feb no sign since then no bleeding so I think I , like you will wait and see.:thumbsup:

My Duedate would have been 6 Dec too .. I was temping and FF says I could have O'd on the 20th or 24th (same 2 lows ..)

Maybe all will be ok ...
