I'm going to streamline my stash.
My niece is 6 months younger than Curtis so I can hand down the too-small nappies. And the time has come (the walrus said ) to hand some down.
So, I have a large stash of bamboo which will fit him until self-toileting, and those are my "night time" ones. They're fine, and I have plenty of woollies for over-the-top.
It's the day-time ones I need to get.
I had made the decision to get a bulk order of Honeyboys... BUT I now go to the website and they have these new Monkey Doodlez there :) AIO's but with a PUL outer. Rather than the fleece outer of Honeyboys. The one Honeyboy I already have seems to get suds'd up quite often and because of that, it leaks. I've always thought that Honeyboys are perfect except they should have a PUL outer - and that's basically what Monkey Doodlez are, right?
My question is: Does anyone have Monkey Doodlez (tee hee, obviously boy monkeys do...) AND Honeyboys? Can someone please give me some recommendations in regards to MD's compared to HB's? Are MD's just as absorbent as HB's?
Thanks Clothies :)
*watches with interest, was going to ask the same question*
Oh, and another question (sorry for crashing your thread, queenie). Monkey Doodlez and Micro Doodlez? Which do you prefer? Is there a significant difference?

Hmmm so Monkey Doodlez have a Doodlez cloth inner, whereas Micro Doodlez (hmm why did I just suddenly think about my ex husband? oh me so immature) have a microfleece inner.

Sheesh, I feel like I'm so "out of the game"
Ell, are any of those AIO's? I'm looking for AIO's for daytime use.
I have some pockets but I am tired of stuffing them and particularly tired of pulling the stinky stuffing out before washing.
I have some fitteds but I would prefer the quick-ness (is that a word?? :p) of an AIO, no covers to faff around with.
During the day Curtis is just go go go and he's beginning to be a horror at nappy changes, won't lie down, etc. So the quicker the better :D
Oh yay, he's climbing OVER the safety gate I just installed......... better go....
Well I can give you the difference.
Monkey Doodlez - micro and original are made in Canada, they have a PUL outer, and either an wick away fabric (original) or microfleece inner (micro) - they have a cotton absorbent layer. They come in plain colours only atm.
HB - well fleece outer, but you can get PUL ones too, and here in OZ a hemp absorbent layer. They have plain or coloured inners and tabs.
They don't fit quite the same, the MD have a slightly higher cut leg, trimmer through the crotch and larger waist allowance. Drying time, the MD are quicker, but less absorbent than the HB.
How's that :)
By the way, you shouldn't have a problem with the HB leaking, if you are, please contact the sellar, as something is amiss somewhere.

Helloooo Bluey!! :)
I think the HB leakage is to do with over-sudsing, every time the leak has happened I've done a strip wash and it hasn't leaked after that. So sometimes perhaps I use too much washing powder, I think. Usually it's very good and I have no issues with it.
I did not know I could get PUL outer HB's!! OK well that definitely changes things.
Perhaps I'll get one of each and then decide after road-testing :detective:
And thanks Grem, I didn't see that thread the other day. That was helpful :)

Oh I have heard of these wonderful Berry Plush's. They can be used as a cover, yes? But inserts can be snapped in, to create an AI2, yes? :detective: Might get me one of them too :D (Minke outer, yes?)

Ah excellent then :) Have fun deciding which way to go.
