View Full Version : The Jo Fold - I Did it!!!
I finally got out my flat and gave the fold a go and it worked! So bubba is farting as I type this in her purple tie-dyed Tanya Smart flat! :smiliedance: Looks gorgeous!
Woohoo :D I hope those farts done follow through  it could really put your flat folding to test :p
 I was thinking the same thing! No poos yet though!

I love the Jo Fold! And Snappis!! That fold just makes for a pretty trim nappy, doesn't it. And flat's don't seem all that hard after all! I just love letting Ariene frolic around the house in a cover-less flat nappy and tee. I just pat her bum every time I'm near her and as soon as she wets, it's so quick and easy to whip one off and chuck on another!
I might not have this much enthusiasm for flats once the cold weather rolls around and I have to take off layers of clothing every 20 mins to change her though
Ok, I'm totally amazed by the Jo Fold and the flat!!
I boosted it with a flannel booster (6 layers of flannel), didn't cover it and got 3 hours out of it and it wasn't even damp on the outside when I changed her!
AND bubba is a heavy wetter!
 canningvale flats!

We LURVE the Jo Fold - so trim, and B did a poop in it too - no 'spillage' either! (I had put a cover on just before dinner cos she always poops then, but it didn't even come out of the flat onto the cover anyway! YIPPIE!!!

Terry flat fanatic here, lmao. What's a jo fold though?
I just use the kite fold and tuck the sides in before I bring the middle up, keeps it all nice and trim.
I got instructions for the Jo Fold from here:
The Nappy Lady (http://www.thenappylady.co.uk/Advice/Instructions.asp?InstructionID=2)
I used the Jo Fold because a lot of people here have strongly recommended it. It worked for us! :)

 canningvale flats!
Ohh I wanted these ones.. but had to settle for Dri-glow. They're off as soon as she's done a wee so I guess it doesn't really matter, but I stil wanted Canningvale ones!
It's ironic, I start using terry flats to avoid buying more MCN, but I still have to try make it as expensive as possible before I'm happy

I tried folding one earlier, really easy to do and they look VERY compact!! Might have to put him in cloth starting tomorrow, lol. I was going to wait for the box of huggies to run dry first.

*chants* CLOTH CLOTH CLOTH CLOTH! :D
Definately give the Jo a go - LOL that could be quite a mantra.
There are other newborn folds on the site too that look quite good.
Pookie - I know what you mean. I couldn't just have a plain old white terry, I HAD to have the expensive tie-dyed *posh accent* canningvale terry!
I like the bat fold for newborns.

Where do you get the canningvale from? are they softer than 'normal' buy at shops terry?
LilB - My three flats are tie-dyed ones from Tanya Smart, but I remember someone saying here that they got their canningvale terries from myer/david jones?
I've also seen them new on ebay.
I like them because they stay soft after washing and line drying! They don't go scratchy like other terry nappies have.

Definately a fan of the Jo Fold over here! DD was in teryy flats until I built up my MCN stash. Very effective indeed, was the only fold that worked and fitted well for us!
