Montessori

Hi has anyone sent their children to a Montessori school? I'm thinking of sending DD1 to one next year. They start at kindy (3yrs old) and go through to year 7.
Only thing is it is quite expensive ($7,000 per year, even for the 3 year olds who only go from 9am-12pm). And there is no senior school equivilant. How do the kids cope with the regular system after having been in the Montessori one?

One of the mum's at my playgroup is a teacher and she was telling us that if you're going to use this method you really need it to go all the way through. Although Monterossi claim that their students integrate to high school with great success, she thinks that it would be a struggle for them combined with the usual adolescent problems.

I'd like to know more about this too, as I like the idea of the early program that they offer.
