My DH just showed an interest in BH. I can't believe it, he looked over my shoulder and asked me who had the most posts (probably thought it was me!) and asked what we were talking about. When I replied "weightloss" he quickly retreated back to the lounge

 It's amazing how quickly we can be rid of them! On the topic of most posts, Jackie, your post count has gone ballistic over the laat little while. :p

hey Danni, all the very best for tomorrow. I have been thinking about you lots and sending positive vibes your way. hope those levels are on the up and up and that you pain is starting to ease.

hello to you too Miss funky. Glad you had a great holiday. The photos were great and hamish looked sooooo cuddly. I'm so sorry you are all having to go through the worry and upset of an operation.

Funkychicken
11-04-2007, 21:35
I think I knew this operation would have to happen, so I am not shocked at all and the fact that the surgeon was/is just such a nice person makes me feel more reassured. I do think he will be in good hands. But I do feel all icky thinking about it, so I am going to just accept it and not get too wound up-yet!
As lovely as it is to see you (metophorically speaking :D ), Reidy, I really need to go to bed so I am going to love you and leave you for now. You will just have to pop in more often to say hi! :p

 Goodnight.

dannii
11-04-2007, 21:39
hello reidy hun , nice to speak to you again!
thank you for the vibes! i havent been felling sick, im surprised that im actually hoping for it this time haha
i do get abit queezy when i smell clean washing lol thats bad. but other that everything has eased.

i must have missed something, sal. an operation??
omg i really need to come on here more!!

Reidymac
11-04-2007, 21:59
Danni, a pile of washing has a tendency to make me feel a little nauseous too ;) In this case however I am wishing you a bout of strong and glorious morning sickness. ahhhhh memories

 Goodnight Sal and Danni, I will return for further discussion at a more respectable hour. Don't go hiding the thread on me again though! I'm on to you Miss Funky...........you have to get up pretty early in the morning to fool me.

Actually you don't need to get up that early .............any time before 8am really and I'm still pretty 'non compos mentes'. Actually until about 11 I'm still pretty thick and gullable.....by 3 I'm back to tired and in need of a sugar hit for brain power..........meh...........what are we talking about again

Dannii - :fingerscrossed: those HCG levels have gone through the roof when you get your results today.

Morning to everyone else.

Well im going to have yet another attempt at this exam today with my bosses help. Now with 2 of us doing it together if we cant get over 90% then there definately has to be something wrong with the test as far as im concerned.:fingerscrossed: though that we will get over 90% cause im starting to get really annoyed.

Im meant to be hearing from the ex today as to whether he has chosen to go to golf this weekend over spending time with his son. I dont expect to hear from him or there will be some other excuse to stop him from feeling bad about choosing golf over his son.

Anyway have a great day all and i will let you know how i go with the test.

Sal - sorry to hear that Hamish needs surgery. I can sympathise with you. When I was told Will needed the surgery my heart sank - like there's this perfect little body and it's already being "tampered" with. Made me appreciate even more what SCN parents go through!! As if Will's 48hr lights experience wasn't enough (jaundice).

Em - good luck on the test. And good luck with the ex today.

Dannii - thinking of you today. Great to hear from you and hear things are still on the boil!

Well, I started the self-feeding road this morning and I'm cool with the mess that he makes with the spoon. I'm starting to lose it with the mess and chaos that happens due to his not swallowing and then splurtin ghis food out everywhere. But I'll persevere with the self-feeding. The sooner he can do that the sooner I get some of my life back, and my patience!

Going to a friends place tonight. She's cooking us a 3 course meal, including roast. She used to be a chef. I'm so looking forward to it! She told me I'm not allowed to do anything and I'm to be waited on hand and foot. Yay! Might be because last week when I saw her I gave her a hug and promptly burst into tears on her shoulder - to my surprise as well as hers and DH's! :o All I can think is that the sleep dep is finally starting to kick my **** a little.

Oh and maybe something to do with getting AF today? Hey, and it's actually a 4 week cycle I've just had! Great start! Maybe this baby biz has regulated me - which I was kinda hoping would happen. It would be so nice to have normal cycles like everyone else and not have to spend $$$ on ovu kits to fall pg again.

Anyway, better go tend to Will before he realises I haven't put the TV barrier up yet. Sticky buttons - hmmmmmm.

hello ladies,
Poor PP her bum is still sore. Going to try somthing the cyh nurse mentioned and see if it works! :fingerscrossed:
PP has been really good with her nappy off she runs and tells me when she needs poos! poor thing it hurts for her after so im just putting her in the bath with water running when she needs to go!

we have her orination today at the childcare centre too! so fingerscrossed that goes well!

12-04-2007, 10:43
Morning all

Reidy, you a funny girl

Great to see you drop in Dannii. I too am sending good vibes your way. Bring on that MS. :barf:

Brooke- that is just amazing that PP tells you when she needs to go to the toilet. I'm a bit flabbergasted actually. What a clever little chooky she is.
The best indication I get is she squats down and maybe makes a few groaning noises.

Emma- good luck with that damn test. Fingers and toes are crossed for you. And good luck with your ex today as well. It's a shame if he does choose golf over Cooper because he is missing out on something that is so special and he will never get those times back. Idiot! :banghead:

Jackie- did you tell your DH that you are the one with the most posts

Lis- What a lovely friend you have there. Sleep deprevation is torture!!!!!!!!!!!. But there is light at the end of the tunnel eventually. You just got to hope you can make it there. Since Emily has been sleeping through now for nearly a month, I'm amazed at how things are clearing up in my brain with some proper uninterupted sleep. The fog is lifting and it's a bit bright out here, but I'm loving it. I don't mean to rub it in that I'm getting sleep, but I know exactly what you mean because it feels like your life will always be like this...........but it won't.

Ok, time to go pay everyone's wages. It's every fortnight for us, and I thank god for internet banking. Gone are the days of running around to 5 different banks with a bucketful of $$$$$$ depositing money whilst being scared stiff of being robbed. But I literally used a bucket with a lid as I didn't think anyone would want to steal a bucket.

Hi Girls,

I think I've just gone my longest without being on the hub ( it's 12:06pm and it's the first time I've logged on today :yelclap: ) who says I have no life

Danni- please let us know how your tests went. My fingers are tightly crossed for you!

Reidy - you seriously crack me up! Lovely to see you in here.

Sal - thanks for starting up the new thread, it was so much easier to scroll back 3 pages and know that I haven't missed anything

Brooke - sorry PP's bottom is still sore - hope the orientation day is going well.

Emma - good luck with the test.

and last but certainly not least Lis - glad to hear your cycle is in normal mode. I'm actually glad you mentioned Ovulation tests as I have a question for anyone who'll listen - but Lis you may know seeming as you have used them before.

My cycle is usually around 26 to 27 days. From observing my "fertility signs" I thought I was o'ing around day 15 or 16. Anyway, I bought myself an OPK as it was half price at the supermarket and even though I thought I had already o'd for the month I did it just to see. It came up positive and that was on day 17 of my cycle. I did another this morning just to see if I am still having the LH surge and again it was positive (now day 18 of my cycle) to me this seems really weird as it seems very late to be ovulating considering my cycle is so short. I am expecting AF to arrived in around 8 days.

Lis - have you ever had the tests come up positive for a few days in a row?

It's all doing my head in and making me wonder if there might be something out of whack and perhaps it may explain why I haven't conceived after 5 months of very good timing? :detective:

It was all a bunch of rubbish anyway, so thank your lucky stars.

Sal - Glad to hear you are very happy with Hamish's paediatrician. All these ladies are right, just don't think about the propcedure, I'm sure it's something the surgeon does all the time & he is very good at it. I hope you come up with something for his post surgery that you are happy with.

Jackie - Oh dear, might mean you have to BD more often :D . I'm sure DH will be happy to hear about that!!! Guess we know what you will be up to over the next few nights  when we don't see you on the hub.

Sarah - I saw the signs this am (DFO's). Very exciting stuff. Hope they get some good outlets in the centre. I might have to walk over just so I am forced to not buy anything.

Brooke - hope PP's orientation goes well for her.

Emma - good luck with your test again :fingerscrossed: . Sorry to hear your ex is still making excuses. Sarah is right though, the more excuses he makes, the more he is missing out on the good stuff.

I passed finally and got 94.4% and only needed my bosses help with 2 questions. Im so smart (just giving myself a big head not saying that my girls in the Dec 05 mums thread arnt smart):yelclap: :smiliedance:

And its 10mins to 5pm and I havnt hear a word from the ex, not to my surprise. So he will be missing out on seeing Cooper this weekend. And he cant use the excuse he used last week that he had sent me emails but they kept being returned due to the email containing profanity. If that was the case i wonder what he was putting in those emails then. How many more lies & excuses can this idiot come up with. It just makes me laugh now cause I know what he really likes and know that 99.99% of everything that comes out of his mouth is a load of sh!t.

Anyway i best be off to pick Coop up from pre-school. My dad is away at the moment so mum & i are going to go out for chinese for tea....yummmmm.

I will chat to you all in a few hours

Evening ladies - i litterally only have 3 mins - DH is timing me:rolleyes:

Dannii - my :fingerscrossed: for you! I hope it all went well.

Sal - :hugs: to both you and Hamish. The pead sounds great - I bet you are glad you found him.

Reidy - How's the week been? all settled in? Jude was asking about you before(via PM - I'll have to send you her user name so you can get in contact if you want).

Emma - Congrats on passing!

Tracey and Sarah - you 2 really are shop-a-holics! It's great! Maybe we could take a Dec mummies trip to the new centre near your houses when it opens. Oh Sarah - DFO is pretty good, some really nice babies clothes shop and great shoe stores.

Jackie - have a fun night;)

Times up got to run - Hi to everyone else I didn't personally mention - it's not intentional, just DH is on my case about being on the computer too much - lol!

emilysmumma
12-04-2007, 18:46
Hmmmm, it's a bit quiet in here tonight.

Emma- :yelclap: well done on your test. You smart cookie. What's next in store for you?

Reidy- it was nearly time to send out a search party like Sal said last night. Have you settled in with work? and how are the little people going with the new routine?

Brooke- how is your new role at work going? Keeping you busy most likely.

Warning- boring cr@p below about me.
Lis- you asked what DH and I do with being self employed. We are in the bathroom industry. Nothing exciting or fancy. We specialise in sealing leaking showers. Showers can leak through the grouting/tiles to the walls behind and causes moisture in the walls/carpets/floors.
We started in Perth in 2000, and a year later moved here to Brisbane to branch out. We stopped being hands on a couple of years ago when we got a full time manager that operates both states.
It's fairly family orientated as both my brothers and stepson work for us and our manager's DH and future son-in-law does as well, plus a couple of others.
It's been tough and I've learnt too much about human nature than I care to know, and dealing with the public is something I just can't stand anymore.
I still pay the bills and wages and DH doesn't do much anymore either, so it's a fairly relaxed lifestyle now, but at the end of the day it's us that carry all the responsibility for the business.
So that's it in a nutshell. :o

Jackie and Lis- you guys are so in tune with your cycles. I have no idea and it arrives when it does. Funnily it's usually DH that tells me when AF is due. It must be the grumpy mood a few days before hand that makes it click for him

emilysmumma
12-04-2007, 18:47

mytwolilprinces
12-04-2007, 18:52
Sarah - that's not boring! Sounds like you and your DH have got a thriving business there. Well, if I ever need my shower sealed I know where to come

As for being in tune with my cycle. It's only because I've been ttc for 5 months now. Before ttc I didn't know when AF was due and even when my mum or someone would suggest that I was "upset" due to AF being on her way, I would get really sh!tty with them (they were always right though  ) Also the book that Sal lent me has been a huge help in working out what's going on .... Sal if you need it back let me know, I was going to wait until I was successfully up the duff before sending it back but now I'm starting to think it might never happen :(

emilysmumma
12-04-2007, 18:58

And it will happen Jackie. Practice makes perfect.

Sorry to leave you on your own here Sarah but I've got to go. Josh is still up and as DH isn't home it's up to me to get him to bed. He wants me to "sleep in Josh's bed all night" he's so cheeky these days.

When I picked him up from preschool on Wednesday he loudly informed me "mummy I wuv (love) you too much" it melted my heart and set of a chorus of "awwwwww's" from the preschool teachers!

On that note, I think I'll go and give him the cuddles he is after  nighty night!

Mummaof2
12-04-2007, 19:09
Emma- :yelclap: well done on your test. You smart cookie. What's next in store for you?

Sarah - The next thing in store is i have my last assignment for my Accounting course to do and then the final exam in June. Next week I have the 4 days brokerage course with 2 exams to do during the course of those 4 days. Then i intend on having a few months off studying otherwise i think my brain may explode or burn out.....lol

Has anyone heard from Dannii? She was on MSN today but i didnt get a chance to chat to her as my stupid computer at work kept stuffing up.

emilysmumma
12-04-2007, 19:48
No word from Dannii that I know of.

I can't wait till Emily can say 'I wuv u'. Josh sounds like he is in love with his mummy atm.
Emily likes to run up to me with arms open wide and throw herself around my legs and hug tight with the kissing sound affects of 'mwah mwah'. Her latest is swinging herself around and in between my legs when I'm standing.

I'm shutting down so goodnight all

Reidy, you posted at 11:11! Make a wish!

Anyway, just coming in quickly to say hello and goodnight. Just got back from our friends' place - had an awesome dinner, yummy home made sticky date pudding with home made butterscotch sauce. She's very clever. And my fave Bobby Burns Shiraz. She went all out.

Will behaved so well. Whenever he went to touch something he shouldn't I said "uh-uh" and he'd turn away. He just sat and played and even talked to the dogs through the sliding door. And had a boogie to the tracks that were playing in the lounge room. He was amazing, specially given their house isn't childproofed. They commented on how well behaved he is - I felt so proud :D

Jackie, re ov tests - I found that some of them did register over several days. In the end, we just used them as a guide and nookied like mad over those few days... sorry if tmi. I still don't know a heap about them, just know that I tested, got a positive result a few days in a row, and it worked.

Sorry, I'm not much help am I ?!? :o

Well done Emma! You did it! And what a p**** your ex is  But then, nothing new there...

Sarah - the sleep thing is getting a bit better, but I think that because it's getting a bit better, my body is still adjusting to the extra sleep and making me feel like cr@p. I'm hoping by next week I'll be feeling better. Then Will can start sleeping through. Well, he can do that whenever he likes, I no complain.

Okeydokey - I have DH telling me to go to bed now. Jess, your DH and mine must both have their bossy boots on.

G'night y'all!

And happybirthday Jackie - you old thing!

Jackie- I hope your having a great day.

Sarah- your buisness sounds very good. Not boring at all.. we use a similar company thru work for all of our bursting leaking claims.

Emma- well done on passing the test!

well pps bum is still sore so I have taken the day off work to be with her. her poos are really runny too poor little thing! We didnt end up going to childcare yesterday so we will make next week our 1st week. I can say though Im kind of wishing I went to work now :o I have been cleaning up poo all day! hahaha
She is doing so well at telling us before she needs to go which is fantastic! but she just wont sit on our potty but she will sit on the one at mil's house... go figure!

I was saying how I had stolen one the other day & how guilty I felt :o , DH said, 'just think of it as payback for all the sleepless nights we've endured for the past year' . Bummer about your night last night Jackie.
Emily gave me the best birthday present the night before my b'day. She slept through and has ever since. She must of known her mummy is an old hag now (no offence to us 30ish ladies) and requires a full night's sleep.

You mean you've waited till now to eat your darling child's chocolate. I ate it the night before easter sunday  I must be a naughty mummy as I didn't feel bad at all.

ok girls this is probably nothing but here goes..... tell me what your girls think?

My AF is 14days late....I have had headaches for the past week, i have started feeling nausous(sp) I am permanently hungry ALL THE TIME and today I went thru the drive thru at mcdonald just to get coke... (i hate coke and the only time i crave it is when i was pregnant!)
I have done 2 pregnancy tests and both were negative.... :o

Chumps
13-04-2007, 13:52
Hhmmmmm, interesting :detective:

Were the tests from the same packet?

brooke
13-04-2007, 13:53

brooke
13-04-2007, 13:55
and i just want to add...
the coke was so good I almost went back and bought another one!
Thats when i was like... hmmmm time to do another test. I even called dh and Told him i went to get coke and he was like WTH!!!!!!

Chumps
13-04-2007, 13:55
Well, if you are usually pretty regular, and you were forced to give in to the call of coke at Macca's, which is very abnormal for you, then I know what I'd be doing if I were you :p

Chumps
13-04-2007, 13:57
I'm guessing we might hear from you in about....mmmmm how long to go buy a test kit.......1 hour??????

Reidymac
13-04-2007, 14:12
Mmmmmmmm Coke *drools* food of the Gods :p

I mean....Oh God, coke hey?

I do have a knack of comming in at all the right times don't I. Liam and I have just had a quick discussion about your symptoms and he said 'Yes' he thinks this might be it!

He also said 'shoe', 'shoe' so I'm not sure if he can be trusted as an expert so you might still have to test.

Good luck Brooke! I hope you get the result you want :fingerscrossed: :D

Chumps
13-04-2007, 14:16
 Reidy, you do know when to pop your head in!!!!!!

Oh god, how funny if a lot of the dec mums are pregnant at the same time :D . At least we won't need to go and write on a new 'due in' thread!!!!

Chumps
13-04-2007, 14:17

It is weird isn't it!

Lil G was exactly the same age as the Dec babies are now when we started to try for Liam. I think the universal clucky of all mothers must kick into overdrive at this stage.

I know I keep getting that strange feeling that there is something I am meant to be doing or that I'm late for something, so I check my appointment book and my bill due dates, count the kids, see if I lost the car keys and then realize that it's not that I am missing something.............I't that I'm clucky and the clock is ticking. ;) Haha

mytwolilprinces
13-04-2007, 14:55
Let's just have some cake whilst we wait. I've got some not so fresh woolies mud cake here which I bought for myself because Josh was nagging me to get a cake for my "party" because according to 3 yr olds if you have a birthday you must have a party. Boy is he in for a dissapointing night....

mytwolilprinces
13-04-2007, 14:58
Maybe she didn't want to overshadow the grand event of your 30th b'day. How has your day been anyway you old chook? :D

Normally I would dislike anyone trying to "overshadow" my b'day but in this case Brooke has my permission to overshadow as much as she pleases. This is big BIG news and we need to know asap - never mind privacy and time to digest the news if she is indeed pg. Her priority is to get online and share the news with the Dec mummies. Just kidding Brooke (well, not really but I'm trying to sound really nice and understanding :D )

Day has been pretty average to be honest. There isn't much fun to be had with a 3yr old and a 16 month yr old in tow! Tomorrow night I'm having my little night out so I've got that to look forward to.

Did someone say cake??? :chef: Yummo, I'll have a slice thanks!

And just for the record, I think this is the first time I know more about something technological than you do! :p
Yes, Skype is phone line and web cam enabled BUT, you can chat like in message thingy (I still have a way to go on the terminology thing :o ).

Basically, it is like msn (I think so anyway!) and you go online and chat to anyone else with skype who is in your address book. I have had it for a few weeks and have a few people in my addy book but only one luffly friend who I have chatted to more than once.
Right, technology lesson out of the way, where's that cake you promised? :D

mytwolilprinces
13-04-2007, 15:06
Skype sounds great. Shame I don't have it though :(

Here comes the cake *passes around extra large servings of choc mud cake*

emilysmumma
13-04-2007, 15:11
Skype seems the way to go. Our dutch friends who have just immigrated brought it for their family members so they can talk everyday. It's funny to see as we have been over there when one of their folks have called. They still haven't got the hang of it yet, and are peering into the monitor and swaying this way and that to see if they can be seen.
It's a great technological thingy.

mytwolilprinces
13-04-2007, 15:13
Although Skype sounds cool. I don't think I'd want it cause most of the time I'm sitting at the puter, I'm in my pj's stuffing my face with some type of junkfood  I don't think I'd want anyone to see me like that!

emilysmumma

Oh, no, no, no. You don't have to use a web cam-we don't even have one. I just chat in 'messages'. You know, I type a message and submit and recipient does the same.
Remember we are talking about my sense of technoism here. Sheesh, a web cam! I don't think so........

Come on brooke, where are you?

mytwolilprinces
13-04-2007, 15:20
Thank God for that Sal - if technology is heading in a way where you a forced to use a webcam then I'm going to have to give technology a miss! I hate photos, but if there is a "live" camera - I head for the hills.

On that note - geez Brooke - don't they have any pharmacies in the Adelaide Hills? (need a stamping foot emoticon)

emilysmumma
13-04-2007, 15:24
I have msn, but I haven't used it in years.
I talk enough on our thread. I'd never be able to keep up with messenging people.

The skype I know is a bit more advanced. You just "call" the other computer and sit down and talk to it and you can see them and they can see you. Just like a face to face conversation.

Reidymac
13-04-2007, 15:25
sorry had to go for a bit

Sal my sweet little 75 year old mother is hip to the technology  She and my brothers are all set up with imac and video conference every week for hours some times. My brother in London always tries to video conference with the little people when they are at mums and because she has a wireless broadband connection the kids roll around on the foor with the computer. My brother holds his real cat up for G to pat and she holds up her purple pussy cat. He even reads them stories like they are in the room together :p sometimes they talk so long they both go into their respective kitchens, make lunch/ dinner and eat together:laughing: it's such a great thing to have.

It also means the L and G see more of their uncle half way across the world than they do of my BIL who lives 10 minutes down the road and isn't quite as friendly:rolleyes:

That's funny Sal. I too have been trying to keep Miss Emily occupied. She is now on the back verandah with her gran, throwing leaves over the edge to the dogs below.

This is taking her too long. I'm now starting to get worried. Think, 15 minutes before you leave the house (getting PP ready, bag, keys, sunnies etc), 30 minutes to the shop and back, another 15 to do the test, 5 minutes to digest the result- so she should be back any minute now.

mytwolilprinces

Oh my havnt we all be chatter boxes this afternoon.

Brooke - Sorry to hear PP's bottom is still sore hope she is better soon. In regards to your news today I would be getting a blood test done or getting the doc to do a wee test for you.

Sal- I dont have Skype in fact i had never heard of it till i read the previous 5 pages.

Reidy - Hello. Nice to see you popping in during the day hours. I have to say you crack me up with every reply you post. I think its great how you always manage to throw something funny in there.

Jackie - My DD also thinks that someone's birthday = party. Im usually sitting in front of the PC in my pj's eating something. Oh except when im at work of course. And I use MSN thats how I keep in contact with my friends that now live in qld.

Update on Dannii - Dannii didnt get to the Dr's today as she has alot of other stuff going on as well at the moment but I will leave that up to her to tell you. She isnt having much cramping anymore and is feeling really good. So :fingerscrossed: everything is going well with the bub. She is going to see if the Dr is open tomorrow otherwise she will definately go on Monday.

All this talk about everyone TTC or falling pregnant and is making me clucky. But I can be as clucky as I want at the moment cause there is no chance I am going to fall pregnant unless there is a possibility if i wish hard enough i will become artificially insaminated with no means of intervention.

Ok well im just about finished work so I will be back on in a bit but dont chit chatter too much otherwise i will have to spend half the night catching up on everything. Just kidding

Well it's time for me to make my goodbyes for now.
We are going for dinner. Nothing fancy, just down at the local golf club (at jindalee FYI Tracey). Quite a nice meal and not pricey either.
So it's early, like old pensioner early-6.00pm we are booked for. So Emily doesn't have to stay up too late.

Have a nice chat girls.

mytwolilprinces
13-04-2007, 15:51
Reidy - you crack me up. I like your style :devil6:

Sal - I will check out skype - if it's the safehaven you promise and suitable for the 30+ I will sign up! Oh and yeah, why not just use MSN?

Brooke - yes, maybe you and Scott should be having a chat about babies. This is the 2nd time from memory that you've had a BFN and been a bit dissapointed. Maybe that's a sign. Oh and little boys aren't all THAT bad you know :D

Sarah - tomorrow night's plans are to drink and be merry (ie blind) with a few friends and possibly eat but then again, that just waste valuable drinking time.

Funkychicken
13-04-2007, 15:51
OK, I am off to do the proper mum bit and feed my child some dinner. DH has the two big ones with him-he went off to trim some horses feet, so I have a couple of hours of grace-translates into chat on bub Hub.:devil6:

Hope I'll see you all alater tonight.

I love love love little boys and they always love me for some reason but I just cant picture me with one... its a weird thing of mine. sorry if I have offended mummies with boys!

Brooke - my heart skipped a beat for a bit there. :hugs: to you. I did about 6 tests and they showed up negative every time, until I was well into about week 4. The whole time I knew in my bones I was pg and kept testing and throwing them out saying they were liars. I'd be off to the docs and get a blood test if you can't hold out another week or so to do another test.

Em - that's great news re Dannii. Maybe she's the start of the domino line!!

Anyway - I'm exhausted and Will's asleep. MIL and SIL are coming around in about 5mins and I'm going to go for a walk with them. Not that the 2hrs spent walking around DFO today weren't enough  DH and I actually went shopping - we both really dislike shopping, he never goes and I try not to. But he desperately needed some new clothes so we bit the bullet and went. It felt weird, we just never walk around shops together, not our thing. I think it's been nearly 2yrs since we did!

Anyway, hope everyone's having a good night. I'll be off for my walk in a few and will be back a bit later on.

Jackie- I always get worried i will offend people with boys when i say I want another girl. I dont know why but even when I pregnant with PP i told dh i would cry if it was a boy! I love love love little boys and they always love me for some reason but I just cant picture me with one... its a weird thing of mine. sorry if I have offended mummies with boys!

Don't worry, I was only stirring you up! I'm not offended. Although I wouldn't change my boys as I love them dearly. Little girls would have been extra nice :D

What's your story with the test???? They can be wrong you know :D .

A lady I work with was absolutely devestated when she found out she was having a boy. We all thought they must have found an abnormality, the way she sulked around. Now, a completely different story, she reckons she is glad she never had a girl. I guess it's always a case of what you get. At the end of the day, despite what you are hoping for, you are just grateful when they are so healthy & perfect  & even if it wasn't a preferred sex, you just love what you get! I know next time around, I'd like a boy but moreso for convience than anything else  , however if it's a girl, all the more reason for more shopping!!!!!

Brooke - :hugs:. Perhaps now might be a good time to sit and have a little chat with your DH, you might be plesently surprised!

Jackie - happybirthday happybirthday

Emma - Thanks for the update on Danni. I sent her an SMS today too I was worried about her.

It's been a long day - had to work late shift so didn't finish work til 5 then had to race to daycare then to my parents, ended up staying for dinner then came home to pack all the stuff into dad's ute for their garage sale tomorrow. We have be there by 6 to unload everything. Hopefully tomorrow will be restful. But at least I didn't have to cook tonight - my dad made us a lovely seafood and vege pizza - it was YUMMO!!!

BTW - Jackie I missed out on cake : ( just kidding!

OK, back to looking at photo's, I've got to find some really colourful images and there are literally millions of pics to look at!

And we did take Emily. She was very good. The high chair they had though had a broken buckle, so it meant she could turn around and peek over the back of the chair at everyone. We got her an icecream with 100's & 1000's and wafers and choc sauce on it. You should of seen her eyes open when it was placed in front of her. They when it really kicked in it was for her, she looked up at everyone with the biggest grin.
They are open wed-sun for lunch and dinner. You have to sign in like at a RSL, so you might live too close. I'm not too sure on them things. The specials were good tonight. A sirloin steak/chips/salad or veg for $12.

In regards to wine drinking I use to hate it. I use to only drink spirits or mixed drinks till I met my best friend who now lives in qld and she got me onto wine and now thats all I drink...when i have an alcoholic drink anyway...

I like most wines but not a big red wine drinker. Oh I also like a glass of port every now and then it helps calm me when im stressed.

Jackie pop open the bottle of champers already its your 30th and you deserve it. I hope you have a great night out tomorrow night.

That sounds like my idea of a night out. A night in.
That's made me think that I've been quite slack lately and need to catch up with my IRL friends.

I've been spending too much time here with my cyber buddies :o and not with my flesh and blood girlfriends.
But in saying that, I feel like you guys are my real life friends, because you are a big part of my life.

Howdy chatterboxes!

All that talk of wine and I can taste it!

Must admit, I love my reds though, not big on whites.

I love a good blend - like a nice cab merlot or cab shiraz. And I love a good kick, bit of spice and a wine that lingers for ages. If all's going well, after one glass my teeth should be dark purple. Very attractive...

13-04-2007, 21:21
It's been so long since I've drunk a bottle of wine I can't remember my faves. Usually the NZ sav blancs.
I've been in the same boat Lis. After the first week of Emily sleeping through and it looked like it was going to stay like that, I ran down to our wine fridge and pulled out a nice shiraz (there wasn't any white sadly :crying: ), and daydreamed all afternoon on that glass of wine I was going to have after she went to sleep.
It was soooooooo good. And I only needed the one glass.

But even though wine is lovely, sometimes nothing beats a stiff drink like a bourbon and coke. (how boganish does that sound? :o )
Also partial to Baileys on ice.

Mummaof2

My favourite wine is the Bobbie Burns Shiraz. But I also love the old faithful Wolfblass Cab Shiraz Merlot blend.

I still can't have much, as Will still wakes for feeds at random times sometimes, but lately I've just said bugger it and had a glass anyhoo. So not what I thought I'd do, but I figure he's a little older now. Never would have done it before 12 months.

Rutherglen Estates Durif. http://www.rutherglenestates.com.au/wine_detail.php?wine_detail_id=7

When Emily was around 8 months, she went through a stage (which I thought was the beginning of sleeping through), of having a booby feed around
7pm and not another one till around 2 in the morning.
I would have a drink as soon as she went to sleep, and then drink copious amounts of water before going to bed myself, in the hope it had left my system.
It only lasted about a month, then she started waking at 11 again at night, and it's only been now that I could have something to drink now and then.
But even in this last month, I've probably only had 3 glasses of red altogether.

Brooke - re shopping. DH just got a few t-shirts and a new pair of Merrells shoes because his others were starting to look a bit worse for wear. He asked me if I wanted anything but I seriously couldn't think of anything I wanted. I need a couple of new bras but I need to go get fitted properly somewhere, DFO is not the place for that! The only thing I nearly got were some ankle socks for Will, coz they're so cute with his 3/4 pants, but then remembered we're coming into winter anyway, with long pants, and he'll probably only pull them off and lose them anyway. I just buy the same white, navy or brown bonds socks all the time now so I don't have to worry about matching them or having odd socks because the other ones been pulled off and left on a nature strip somewhere!

I took some pics yesterday and today, so please indulge me while I share...

Since I've dominated these last few hours with all my posts, I really should spare all of you my waffle, so you don't have to read it tomorrow.

So goodnight Lis

Thanks :D There's something about him that has always looked like a little boy, even when he was only days/weeks/months old, he never looked like a little baby baby. Always looked like a little boy.

So since I've been left to my own devices, I'm going to post some more pics, some recent ones, and some of my old faves.

Then I'll stop boring you all and go to bed.

Doh! Doh! Doh!

Just goes to show Reidy. You try and you just can't do it. That's the universe's failsafe against people trying to facilitate coincidences. Just can't do it...

Reidymac

Hehehe, I was just going to say it is virtually impossible to achieve such a coincidence if you hunt it.

Truth is I had just logged on, read the first 2 pages, saw Jess' comments re: twilight zone, giggled and realised the time on my computer was 11.24 (an oportunitiy not to be missed ;)

Far from coincidence, not even twilight zone envoking, hardly amazing.............
Just a creature of habit doing what habits do. lurk at this hour for the better part of a year chances are you going to post the same time, the same place, the same ramble, the same **** ;)

OK I have finally finished reading the 10 pages you all knocked out since I left at 5.00pm  whew!!!

All I can say is...... LOL, Brooke I wish I was a skimmer but unfortunately I hang off every word and sometimes read the posts twice to make sure I understood the conversation properly. So that combined with my archaic dial up connection means keeping up with you girls can take me all night.

Emma dear, don't stress with us. You are in the company of a gorgeous and generous group of ladies who welcome all. I think the real time chatter is a bit of a new phenomenon and a product of our increasing addiction and the growing size of the group. I remember the days when I could come on late at night, lurke and post in the knowledge that I was safe, alone and a pathetic recluse. Now when I post there is a very good chance that some other insomniac is out there, will post back annnnnnnnnd be nice to me..............whats that about   when you are feeling alone just take a deep breath, post, and someone will always get back to you later.

Lis, your little fella is lovely. He does look so grown up in some of those shots! a real little man.

Wine sounds soooo yummy when you guys describe it. I am afraid I forget.......It has been 4 years and 4 months since I became an incubating and lactating machine, prior to that with all of the stuff going on with my dad I hadn't had a chance to indulge for many moons. Oh how I loved to be inebriated, as long as I didn't have to hassle with all the drinking.

I can report that DH outdid himself tonight with a Thai food banquet of mammoth proportions, washed down with a fine, full bodied cola of the coke~a variety, bottled in 2007 I believe. After dinner we adjourned to the viewing room and capped the meal with a fine chocolate torte accompanied by a chilled cream and second glass of the drop. mmmmmmmmm. It was a celebration of my first pay check and a grand kiss off to the 'Spend no money ever' budget :p Tomorrow?????? more Thai for breakfast I suspect, LOL

Ohh Reidy can I come for breakfast? I haven't had Thai in sooooooooo soooooooooo long. DH can't eat anything remotely spicey, remotely garlicy, remotely tomatoey, just makes him so sick with reflux. He can't even eat bananas, pies, sausage rolls, capsicum, pineapple and the list goes on! Ah well, at least it will be a bonus to our menu when he's had his op and is able to eat these foods. Until then I'll just have to enjoy them at the few times a year I do get to eat them!

Jackie I hope you have a great night out tonight:party: party your heart out and celebrate like you've never celebrated before!

Lis - Will looks so grown up. It is hard to believe he is so young. He looks tall too! But incredibly cute! Thought it was a funny coinkidink, my DH wears Merrells too - love them, can't get him out of them and is about due for a new pair, more so since he decided to paint in his last ones - who paints in brown leather and saude shoes:rolleyes:

Whilst I am left to my own devices, I'm going to explore the hub!
