Hello Ladies,

Just thought I would send a quick message specifically for those who are in families involved in the Defence Force. My husband is in the Navy (also at Garden Island - Ballarat) and we are spending the day together. He was supposed to have a duty but was able to swap it - so at least now I dont have to spend Christmas Day alone.

I guess a lot of you are in the same situation as I am. I moved away from all my friends and family when DH was posted to Sydney, realising that I would also have to sacrifice traditional family celebrations as well - I never thought it would be quite so hard though!

What are you guys up to for Christmas? Will you get to see family?

Cheers,

I am working (at GI) Christmas eve until 6:30am and then working again christmas night 5pm till 6:30am. We don't have any family and friends here in Sydney but Greg's parents are coming over from Adelaide and will get here on Tuesday so we are celebrating and opening our pressies with them on the Wednesday. Our daughter is only 17mths so she wont know any different.
