 OK, my son is still wet in the morning- he only sleeps on his tummy and the wee just goes right up and soaks through his singlet and clothes:thumbsdown:
Normally I use Woolies, and have been using Huggies and they arent working either. I have tried a cover- didnt work. Its because it is at the front that it is leaking up, so covers just coverthe whole bum and that is not my problem.
I even bought the BIGGEST maternity pads I could find and stuck them in the front of his noght nappy- did it work? NO!
I would even consider buying mcn for night time, or even a pack of terry flats to see if they could work, but I am soooo broke. I would love to convert to mcn, but there is no way at the moment.
I try to change his nappy half way through the night, but this is difficult if he doesnt wake:confused:
I think i have hit a dead end- maybe i should just make him a sleepsuit from plastic
Will he wake whilst you change his nappy? I mean, could you change it before you go to bed, and have his still resettle?
Sounds to me like you have tried just about everything, and short of tying a knot in it, I'm not sure what else you could try! (J/K about the knot too, BTW LOL)

LOL- I was actually thinking of tying it in a knot.
He would definetely wake if I changed him- he is soooo irritable when he wakes too. I would have to roll him on to his back- he would scream. Then I would probably need to give him a bottle of water to get him back to sleep, which is kind of counter productive! lol.
I will just have to change him when he wakes thru the night- he ususally wakes once anyways
Can you knit? A woollen soaker with a high rise (ie waist goes up high) might do the trick....
Alot of people use fleece trackie pants. They work the same a woollen longies. These would be easy to put over the top of a disposable and at least help to keep leaks in.

Would that work? Wouldnt the wee just seep through the trackypants?
fleece is water repellant :) Has to be 100% polyester though!
ohhh i had the same problem with my son but putting the cover on seems to have sorted that out for us. WHat cover did you get/try? we have the wonder wrap (one size fits all) and it has a higher rise than his nappy so it seems to contain it.
Also, if you are broke that is a good reason to convery to MCN?? he he. How much do you spend on 'sposies in a week?

What time does his last nappy go on for the night...and what time does he wake?
My son gets his nightime nappy (huggies) put on generally at 8pm the earliest and that will last till the morning at around 7:30am...
if DS sleeps throught the night i have the same problems and was thinking about putting him in MCN's too but i never thought of a cover over the disposable.....thanks for the tips girls
I know this sounds wierd, but when DD went through a stage of that, I just used to put the huggies nappy on her so that her backside was only just covered, the rest I would pull up the front. Does that make sense?? Because it would always leak over the top of the nappy when she weed in her sleep. She always stayed on her stomach from night till morning.
So i would put the nappy on her with the bit that is supposed to cover her 'front bum' right up over her tummy.
Then I cellotaped it on! :devil6:
