Just a quick one

DD has her 18 month immunisation this week, and I was wondering what if any reaction did your bubs have?

DS is booked in for his 18 month imms on the 17th, so I can't help at the moment, sorry :hugs:

Maybe no one else on here has kids who have had the 18 month immunisations :rolleyes:

Come on guys, this is someone who genuinely wants to hear the experiences of people who's kids have had the 18 month immunisations. Where's the love ?

DS had his last month and didnt have any reactions :no:.

It was the only one in the arm, and he didnt even bruise or get a lump (Which he did for all the others!).

No worries, sorry I didnt see your post earlier!

I hope that your DD doesnt have any reactions :no:. Athough it was harder this time because they know whats going on and whats going to happen!

when DS had his 18 month injections he didn't have a reaction although i was expecting him to get the chicken pox cause his immune system was already down cause he had a cold..... He did get a little bruise on his arm but it didn't seem to worry him

Ive got to book Riley in next week,Im not looking foward to it!
Last time he got the measles afterwards so :fingerscrossed: he will be OK this time!

I was told they don't do the 18mth needles anymore!!?? DD1 never got them and DD2 is due for them now but was told they don't do it anymore.... whats the go!?

Ive got DS's 18 month old needles this month too - ill be watching this thread. Is it only one needle or 2?

ok, well DD1 definately didn't get anything at 18mths... it's crossed out in her book and I still got paid immunisation allowance cause I remember them saying you get paid it anyways because they've stopped that needle.... but in DD2's book there is an 18mth needle just a diff shot then what's in DD1's book..... Varicella??

yeah, varicella is chicken pox.

It wasn't part of the scedule before, just voluntary. Now they have added it in so evry child gets it. They have change the schedule about 4 times in the last 5 years

Hayley, it's only the one unless you are an aboriginal or torres strait islander

DS 2 had it last week and had absolutely no reaction. He cried for 1 second and that was that he was happy again :smiliedance:
