This thread is for discussing the 'no cry sleep solution' as written about by Elizabeth Pantley in her book of the same name. The information in this post is sourced from her website: http://www.pantley.com/elizabeth/ if you want to know more that's probably the best place to start- it has excerpts from the book and a bunch of other stuff.

The no cry sleep solution is actually a whole group of different techniques that you can use to help your baby sleep through the night- if that's what you want to do. I feel a bit wierd recommending it myself- since I've never read the whole thing, I still feel comfortable with Felix waking at night myself so I haven't NEEDED it ..yet. However I know a LOT of women who have used it with success- in particular people have recommended the 'pantley pull off' a technique for changing your babies sleep associations so they don't need the breast/bottle/dummy to drop off.

The first book is aimed at the 0-2yrs, apprently she's about to release a book for the toddler and preschool aged child... should be interesting!

I've read this book (actually have it on loan from the library at the moment) and found that I already do most of what she suggests but it still takes hours for my DD to go to sleep at night (once asleep she will often sleep through or get up once for bf and straight back to sleep). I might check out the link. Thanks
