New babybeehinds hemp fleece- tried them?

Ok I got my stack of fluffy mail last week from babybeehinds: 7 hemp and 3 bamboo. :smiliedance:
Don't get me wrong, I LOVE bamboo Valentine
and how soft it is.

But I went for more hemp, having 5 of each already, and really liking the drying time (Canberra winters will make drying hard if I hope to avoid the dryer).

Anyway, I thought they had sent me natural coloured bamboo instead of hemp- even contacted them about the mistake! I compared, asked others for opinions and all agreed- it was so soft it HAD to be bamboo!

Nope, this is the new BBH hemp fleece. We have now done the 10 washes with line drying and it is STILL really soft! OK I don't think it absorbs as well as bamboo ( which will always be our night nappy), but it's snugger and drys faster and is still more absorbent than most nappies.
So... will this change anyones minds on the bamboo vs hemp question???

That sounds divine!! If its soft I probably would buy a few hemps for daytime

Oh I have an order coming. Is all the new stock the hemp fleece? I ordered a bulk pack which will be from the new stock they just got. Was already looking forward to getting it!

i have always liken hemp but dont have any hemp bbhs, im going to try one how.

If I order a hemp BBH from BBH will I just get a hemp fleece? am I being dumb or does it say something on the website? I love the hemp, but without s dryer I have had to put a soft liner in them (I am using old face washers)

Apparently they still have a few of the old type left in rainbow thread, so if you order rainbow thread you might get an old one, but anything else you should get the new one :thumbsup:

They sound great, but unless I wash on hot all the time, hemp goes smelly around here...
They sound so soft though! But I have so many hemp fleece inserts that stay soft for a few months, but eventually thay have all gone crunchy...
Nahh... bamboo for me I think!!

everyone who has ordered one of the hemp fleece will have to let me know if they are happy with it.

Several more washes have gone by and I'm still thrilled at how soft it is.

I do still love the old hemps as well despite the "crunchies". Because they don't have as much bulk, they stretch really well in the "newborn" fold, making a really trim fit.

I'll let everyone know if these ones end up crunchy after a few months.

Yep so much for my nappy ban...the only thing I didn't like about my BBH was the crunchiness so now I'm itching to sell off all my BBH and replace them with the new BBHF! :laughing:

OoOoOoOOoo they sound divine! I have all the old crunchy hemp ones. I'm having a demo this weekend so will have a squiz, although I think I'm going to get more bamboos. They're just SO good for going out because of the amazing absorption ability! I SO don't need any more nappies! :laughing:
