So far, all DD has are two PeaPods (more nappies are on their way though!).

Anyway, the other night, I tried one at night, for the first time. I used the insert that comes with it, plus a microfibre thing, and then added a face washer (which now will no longer be used for a face...lol) just in case.

Anyway, when she woke up... NO WETNESS ANYWHERE AT ALL!

DD is a heavy wetter and with her disposables, her pants are almost always wet in the morning... meaning I often have to do bed linen washes almost every day.

But NO... not with the MCN!

The nappy was HEAVY (not so heavy it was falling off or anything though)... and it was kinda stiff-ish (not soft and padded like it was before I put her to bed)... but NOT A DROP IN SIGHT!

I was so totally impressed and happy! YAY!

(Just wanted to share).

Will have to add some photos soon I'm sure... I'll wait till I get some new nappies though (and actually find my camera...!).

Yep - I'm very much looking forward to not doing the washing tomorrow! It was just so WONDERFUL that it wasn't leaking everywhere. I was truly stunned.

You shoulda switched over a year ago :p

You know those microfibre kitchen cleaning cloths you get from GoLo - 3 for $2 or something? They are great to add to pockets for overnight too. Just make sure you put them in between the hemp, not on top or below iykwim.

That's unreal!! Can I ask, are your peapod inserts the bamboo or hemp/cotton ones?

Betcha can't wait for the rest of your fluffy mail!! :smiliedance:

I think they're the hemp ones?

I got them from Kymmy.

I'm not sure, but for some reason I'm leaning towards hemp. They were pretty thin and dodgy before I washed them about 5 times...

Ok, I have to ask:o Why do you have to put it in between the hemp?

I've always thought you put the microfibre closest to bubs and the hemp to the back:confused:

Oh and BTW you can get 8 microfibre cloths for $10-$12 at kmart and bigw in the car cleaning sections. They seem to last really well and are really good quality!

Microfiber 'sucks up' the wee really fast- then spreads it across the hemp (which, while it is really absorbant, it is a bit slow sometimes to 'take'). So when stuffing pockets for my heavy-wetting 34-month old, I always put m/f on top, with a lot of success

I thought that the only time you put it in between layers of hemp/other stuff was in flats or fitteds to stop it coming into contact with bub's skin as it can be irritate it due to being so drying....

Thanks Pookie!

It seems to be working for me so I'll keep stuffing it towards the back!
