As the title says . .the past few days .. I felt like I just want to get rid of all my cloth nappies.. .Im not sure why. .if Ive just been lazy lately or maybe the fascination has worn off.

Matilda also weighs a lot less without them on .. lol . .and her clothes can be a bit of a drama when she has them on.

Also with winter on its way I know its going to be such a drama getting them dry as we dont have a dryer and we dont get a LOT fo sun .. as it is it takes my BBB a few days to dry .. .

Just don;t know what to do!!

*gasp*

Don't get rid of them. I have days and even weeks like this too. Especially after the excitement wore off. I just think of all the money I'm saving and that usually turns me around... that and the fact that everyone will say "I told you so!"

Do you have any trim nappies? Put these on under clothes. If all you have in BBBs I can completely understand why you are fed up. I for one hate fitteds. All that bother of putting a cover over them. BLAH. Why don't you try some pockets or trims AIOs?

Of coarse if you do sell I'm sure you'll get a good resale value! But if you hate it that much I'd put them in the back of the cupboard for a few weeks and see how much disposables eat your income. I for one would very quickly get them back out.

I dunno either hun, i did feel a little bit like this a while ago, but i think i'm just used to using cloth now, and to be honest when i absolutely have to use a sposie, i realise why i changed over to cloth, sposies are fine, but i just prefer having DS in cloth. I like the pockets, they dry pretty quickly. But even so i have found the last few days not as much sun means i have to hang them out either really really early or i leave them on the line for 2 days, and that means i have to wash more often because they aren't dry in time. Thinking i'll just buy more nappies though rather than sell them.

Anyways hun, if you do decide to sell i'm sure you'll get most of your money back.

I had a lot of GK pockets and others as well . .but they were constantly leaking. .the only thing that seemed to work for more then 2hrs were the bbb . .so I got some more fo them . .I have a layby of like 25 .. but the past week or so have been double thinking. .

Maybe it is best to just leave it for a while. . might get a 2nd wind .. I love them. . but something just keeps making me go. . no .. lol

I haven't tried GK's, but i have found bumgenius to be great! Did you try the Haute pocket, i thought you might have gotten one of them. I got rid of my BBB's too much of a hassle for me! I wouldn't go and get 25either, even the BP's are absolutely gorgeous and i find they work great also! :D Hope you get a second wind and fall in love with them all over again! lol

Ive tried bumgenuis, haute pockets, heiny's

Just didnt seem to work at all .. fitteds seemed to do the job a LOT better. . .I was going to go the 25 as that would mean Id be easily covered in winter . .so as some dry over a few days. .have plenty of others to wear. ..

And I got some gorgeous covers for them as well . .ugh . .why did this have to happen!! . .Maybe its just a bit of depression kicking its way in again . .. :gloomy:

I have been like this a little as well at times thinking what have I done. Will probably get worse when new bub comes and I have two in cloth. But in those times I have to
1. Think about the money cost of two in disposable
2. Think of my mother's voice saying you will never stick with it why did you bother.

No way I am having my family saying I told you so and having something else to use against me and put me down.

I have been buying a few extras for winter as I am in Melbourne. If you have any form of heating set up an inside airer right near it.

Hugs. It isn't always easy. I am the most lazy person ever!

I have those moments too but the thought of a disposable tells me cloth is right for us. I think I hate all nappies at times. I am so over changing nappies full stop.
:hugs: I hope you work through how you are feeling and know we are here to chat. :hugs:

:hugs: for you!

I have moments like that too, especially when the nappy bucket is full and the wetbags are full and there are lot of teething poos in there, but I just plod through it and am glad for my plodding when the feeling passes.

This will pass for you too :hugs:

DS has been pooing about 5 times a day!! We gave him lots of dragon fruit (tropical fruit in abundance up her in darwin) today and he has done about 8 pink poos in the space of 5 hours.

Changing nappies is not the funnest thing in the world, but you have to do it. Doesnt changing cloth nappies make it slightly more bearable?

I dont ever have these feelings of wanting to chuck it all in and use sposies..maybe its because...

A. I have never used a sposie. Cloth is all I know.
B. It started from a purely environmental point of view so that will never change.

Its ok to be 'over it'...and the best thing to do is come here and have a whinge to us :D
We all go through rough patches :hugs:

Thanks for the wonderful words and :hugs:

There's a lot been going on lately and I think maybe this was my little outlet of frustration to rebel and say "stuff them" . .(yes I know Im weird)!

Ive changed my mind about a 1000 times in the past few hrs and its driving me nuts. I sit there and think . .no . .Im going to sell them . .then I read the posts around here and I think . .no . .keep them . .its worth it ..

My philosophy has always been if you cant decide then dont do anything. .so I will leave it be for now .. I really do need a bigger stash though as Im down to really only a day or 2's worth after selling many of them to find the BBB . .which are my trusties. .

I think I will just plod along .. if it turns out it isnt for me ..I know where I can come to find people to care for them . .

I think you've done the right thing - there's no harm in holding onto them for just a little bit longer! :) I know when I'm having a day I'd rather forget it always cheers me up to see DS running around in his little plump cloth bum! :D So much cuter than a sposie!

Was thinking some more about your post today.

The most important thing is do what is right for you. Don't let anyone put you down for the decision you decide to make whether it is for cloth or disposable.

There are people who find the small amount of extra work in cloth too much to handle if they suffer depression or have other issues.

We each use cloth or disposable for our own reasons. Or we use one or the other at different times for various reasons. The important thing is not putting yourself down over your choice.

I am loving using cloth, it is right for me at this point in time. Does not mean it will always be.

oh Krissy, you poor thing

try to take it easy and there is definately no rush to make any decision anytime soon :hugs:

If it helps i have days like this too.

You know you could always keep your stash, go back to sposies for a week or fortnight and then decide
