Hi everyone,
I've been lining DS's nappies today with polyester liners to protect them from a heavy, zinc based nappy rash cream.
If I wash the liners with the rest of the nappies, would the cream residue will go throughout the rest of the nappies and damage them?
Also, some of the cream also still managed to get through the liners onto the microfleece - is there any way of getting it out, or is the nappy wrecked? :o
Heeeeelp!
Many thanks!
They should be fine to wash all together. If you're worried do a strip wash:
Wash in very very hot water and a little bit of plain (non-moisturising) dishwashing liquid (although don't do this if you have a front loader, and double check your nappies can be washed in hot water).

I use pawpaw ointment on Phoenix, and it gets on his nappies, but I've never had a problem with it coming out! I just do a warm wash and it's gone!
Perhaps the zinc cream is a little too heavy, if you're worried pawpaw is a good alternative and should come out of your nappies pretty easily.
But I'd try a strip wash for now too

Pawpaw is more water soluable than zinc cream, which is why it would come out more easily:)

Curash powder is even more water soluble!!
I power-squirt greasy liners with the little squirt after using Daktozin.. doesn't help much though. To be honest, I use disposable liners when I need to use cream :o
I should get some flushable ones! Just for rashy days

Thanks for your advice :) - I think I might hunt around for a different nappy cream - this one is hanging around for good on my favourite cow print Happy Heiny! (Despite the liner!)

Totally agree! Curash powder has done us wonders. Can't recommend it enough.
