Hi there. Found this site a couple of days ago, so thought I'd introduce myself briefly! My name is Lou, and I moved to Melbourne from the UK at the beginning of November with my partner and little girl, Abbie, who's 20 months. After a very hectic start things have quietened down (and everything has stopped for the summer holidays), so am feeling a little lost! Am looking forward to getting to know you all, and if anyone local fancies getting together for coffee and a chat let me know...

Hope you all have a fantastic Christmas (can't believe its only a week away!!!).

It must be a shock coming to a country where Chrissy falls in the hottest month!

Thanks for the welcome guys. We are starting to acclimatise, but still can't get used to the idea that its Christmas - keep thinking its July/August (and unusually hot!). I'll check out the Melbourne meet thread, so hope to see some of you soon too...
