I feel i am having a dilemma with my darling 7 week old twin boys, the last couple of days and nights they have been crying themselves to sleep. I am finding it difficult trying to calm one down when i am feeding the other. It could take up to 1/2 hour to 45 mins before they fall asleep. I know the crys are for attention but what can i do?

I bottle fed my boys, and fed them both at the same time. to feed them together, I would pop them in their rockers (which I found the rockers my most used items with them!) Also, I know its a big no-no to some, but I would prop their bottles up when they were both in the cot (they shared) and feed them like that, but of course I would still sit right there next to them

what is it you think they need...is it milk or cuddles or just to be held????

can you hold one while feeding the other, or rock one in bouncer while feeding

they are just little so maybe you can fit both on your lap at once, side by side as one feeds, they have been side by side for 10 luna months so maybe they are just calling out to each other.

my thoughts are with you

I don't have any suggestions to help really but maybe if you contacted the multiple birth association they could give you some tips.

I can't help from experience, but a friend of mine is a twin and her mother told me that she just breastfed both of them at the same time...

I think she held them in the football position and they went for it.

Now that is talent ladies!

I agree with Alannah's_mum. I also bottle fed my twins at the same time while I sat in the middle of their bouncers/rockers. Also for their 10pm feed instead of waiting for them to wake up for it I would just put the bottle in their mouths & they would sleep drink, but for the 2am feed I would wait until they woke then hold the bottle in their mouth while they still in cot & that way I didn't disturb them that much to where they would properly wake. Around twice a week I would let them wake themselves for the 10pm feed just to see if they would wake or ready to start sleeping through. Thank God they dropped the 2am feed first!!!!

This worked extremely well for me & I would recommend it to others.

i agree with the both you as well i bottle feed my twins and both of them in a rocker and if they got unsetlled i would rock them and they would carm down and some nights i have had the tiwns cry them self to sleep and sometimes thats all you can do cause no matter what you try they wont stop crying and it can drive you crazy.so times its best sometimes to let them cry them self to sleep as long you know there is nothing wrong.
